They will be your key contacts for all Mobile Trade Show events, program information, and inquiries. Please do not hesitate to contact them with any questions, ideas, or concerns. PROGRAM OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION A well-organized and strategic trade show is a one-of-a-kind sales opportunity as it brings many customers and prospects together who are prepared to look, learn, and purchase. These trade shows will aid in building strong, lasting relationships between the branch staff, suppliers, and customers, which will ultimately lead to a boost in sales. As the company and industry are growing and evolving, the WESCO Mobile Trade Show Program is following suit. In 2015 the Trade Show & Event Team will work closely with the branch/global account and you, our key supplier, to plan a first class event for our customers. The events will highlight WESCO’s broad product capabilities, valued suppliers, competitive advantage, and the experienced team of experts who are available to assist customers in making confident and informed decisions. A Mobile Trade Show provides the perfect setting to broaden your customer base and their knowledge on the strength of WESCO and its valued suppliers. Who: A WESCO branch or global account and WESCO suppliers. Current and prospective customers will be present. What: Trade shows will be geared towards WESCO’s key product category segments: Lighting & Sustainability Data Communications Safety Utility Electrical MRO Automation & Controls Wire & Cable Construction Mining Oil & Gas 3 When: Events will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays February 2015 through December 2015. To see the event calendar, please visit www.wesco.com/tradeshows and click on the calendar menu option. Mobile Trade Shows are typically held over lunchtime spanning 2-3 hours. Where: The event may take place at a WESCO branch, key customer location, global account, hotel, or another type of event space. Cost: A one-time fee of $1,000 will be charged for the design and printing of your backdrop graphics upon your agreement to join the Mobile Trade Show Program. A cost of $300 per event for WESCO-preferred suppliers and $400 per event for nonpreferred suppliers will be charged for participation. All invoicing will take place following the event by the Trade Show & Event Team. If the participating supplier has co-op funds with WESCO, a request will be put in the BDF co-op portal for the $300 participation fee. If the supplier does not have co-op funds with WESCO, you will receive a non-preferred supplier invoice via email for the $400 participation fee. If you are currently participating in the WESCO Marketing Suite Program, you have been allotted a certain number of Mobile Trade Shows based on your suite level. These shows have already been paid for, so once the supplier exceeds the allotted amount, they will begin receiving individual invoices per show. How: Host branches will select suppliers to participate in their Mobile Trade Show. Manufacturer representatives from those selected suppliers will be invited and are required to attend the event to educate customers on their products, conduct product demonstrations, and distribute marketing collateral. Quick FYI’S: The branch or global account will provide lunch for the suppliers and customers. Suppliers will be provided with a 3’ x 8’ standard table and a blue WESCO table cloth. Suppliers who buy into the Mobile Trade Show Program, or have it included in their Marketing Suite level, will have a professionally designed 3-panel backdrop at each event to display their latest products and will be included on the customer pass. Customer passes will be given to customers to wear on the show floor. They will then visit each supplier table where suppliers will sign their pass. Suppliers are allowed one table with their participation fee rate. If they would like an additional table, an additional participation fee must be charged for each extra table ($300 for preferred/$400 non-preferred). 4 PROGRAM GOALS The overall goal of the 2015 Mobile Trade Show Program is to provide customers with knowledge about WESCO’s broad scope of products and capabilities in a joint effort with the company’s valued suppliers; the trade shows will demonstrate how WESCO can help reduce the customers’ costs, increase productivity, and improve their work environment by working more efficiently and safely in conjunction with our suppliers. Additional Goals: Market suppliers along with the WESCO message to display why the company is an industry-leading supplier of electrical, data communications, general MRO products, and electrical OEM products Generate awareness of supplier’s new products, services, or offers Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers Initiate sales Provide opportunities and a platform for suppliers to interact with WESCO customers to exhibit and promote their products Do you offer CEU’s or educational sessions? Contact Megan or Madison to see how you class could be incorporated into the event. 5 HOW to COMMIT TO THE MTS PROGRAM For only a one-time $1,000 fee, you can join the 2015 Mobile Trade Show Program. The events provide the perfect opportunity to boost your sales, foster brand awareness, and educate WESCO’s customers and staff on your products and services. WHAT YOU RECEIVE: Customized Backdrop Displays present at each Mobile Trade Show (more info on pg. 7) Company logo on all customer passes Company logo listed on the WESCO Mobile Trade Show website Company logo on email campaign landing page Personal interaction with WESCO branch staff and customers Please Note: Your graphics at the Mobile Trade Shows (i.e. backdrops and customer passes) will be present assuming you meet all of the graphic design deadlines ahead of time. 6 CUSTOMIZED BACKDROP DISPLAYS Each supplier who chooses to be a part of the 2015 Mobile Trade Show Program will work with WESCO Marketing and AlphaGraphics to develop a customized graphic display promoting their products and/or services. These 3-panel tabletop displays will be professionally designed by our team at AlphaGraphics and will be present for you to use at each Mobile Trade Show. You will only need to provide copy, logos, and information to be placed on the backdrop and the rest will be provided for you. If you would like to purchase these backdrops to have at the trade shows, please contact Megan Mischler or Madison Murchak. All biases aside, they are very impressive! Below is a sample supplier backdrop from 2014. In 2015, we will no longer be using the baseball theme, so the design will differ slightly. Please note: Only suppliers who choose to be a part of the 2015 Mobile Trade Show Program and pay the $1,000 one-time fee will have a backdrop in the trade show properties. 7 Pre-Show Plan: What Should I Do Before AN Event SUPPLIER PREPARATION CHECKLIST: WESCO’s Mobile Trade Shows are a perfect opportunity to inform and educate customers on your products and services through face-to-face contact. We encourage suppliers to create interesting, eye-catching displays, product demonstrations, contests, and promotions to attract customers. Follow this pre-show checklist for a step-by-step guide on how to prepare for an event. View the Show Calendar. Return Supplier Commitment Form. Once you are invited to a Mobile Trade Show, all suppliers will need to sign and return this form to confirm their participation prior to the show. Touch base with hosting branch contacts. Always be sure to confirm the event date, time, and location with the hosting branch contact or the Trade Show & Event Team in the weeks and days leading up to an event. Be Prepared. If you join the program, your backdrop will be provided at the event, but you are responsible for bringing any additional products or literature you would like to showcase. Arrive Early. Setup begins 1-2 hours before the start of the event. Please arrive early with enough time to set up your table before customers arrive. Pre-Show Meeting. Before the start of the show, WESCO personnel and all suppliers will meet to briefly discuss the logistics of the day’s event and answer any questions. Be Engaging. You want to encourage customers to visit your table, so please be approachable and outgoing! Cleanup. As soon as the show concludes, cleanup and teardown will begin. Remember to pack all of your product items, and please do not leave trash behind on your table. Debrief with WESCO personnel. If your travel schedule allows, we request that you plan time for a short debriefing session with WESCO branch leaders at the conclusion of the event. This is the best way for you to provide your insight and suggestions, and most importantly, schedule follow-up activities from customer requests. 8 THE SUPPLIER COMMITMENT FORM The supplier commitment form confirms your participation in a Mobile Trade Show prior to the event. This form will need to be filled out for each Mobile Trade Show you plan on attending. The form will be sent to you via email by the host branch, your Regional Marketing Manager, or the Trade Show & Event Team, and you will need to fill out, sign, and return it to the host branch coordinator and/or the Trade Show & Event Team prior to your event.
