26 ANNI!
Anche quest’anno, per me l’occasione piu’ bella, e non se la
prendano cantanti, musicisti, ballerini e artisti vari, e’ quella di
incontrare, rivedere e parlare con i tanti, moltissimi che anche
quest’anno saranno al nostro festival che compie 26 anni.
Incontri che a volte sono solo un sorriso, ma talmente spontaneo e
caldo che ti fa capire quanto sia il piacere di vedersi, essere vicini,
uno accanto all’altro accompagnati dalla musica che e’ una dei
protagonisti delle due giornate di questo “Italian Festival” che
oggi e’ purtroppo l’unico rimasto nella nostra comunita’ e che per
tutti e’ pieno di ricordi.

LIVE Saturday Aug. 2 at the Festival
Belinda Naccarato is a classically trained, award winning,
singer/songwriter from Thornhill Ontario.
She has performed with many talented artists but none
bigger than Italian Superstar, Albano Carrisi.
Her original songs "The Sound of Rain" and "Never Let It
Go" finished 2nd two consecutive years in a row across
Canada at the Scotia Bank Canadian Rising Star
Competition .
She has also sung for Serie A soccer team AS Roma in
front of 21 thousand spectators at BMO field, as well she
has had the honour of being asked to perform for Prime
Minister Steven Harper and Prime Minister Enrico Letta
of Italy. She is currently working on her new EP with some
big names in the Canadian music industry.

Grenville Pinto è tra i grandi virtuosi del violino in
Ontario, capace di suonare praticamente qualsiasi
motivo grazie all'immensa abilità musicale coltivata
durante la sua straordinaria carriera.
Ha iniziato a soli sette anni in una famiglia di musicisti,
con la mamma insegnante di pianoforte, il papà cantante
e le due sorelle pianiste professioniste, che spesso lo
hanno accompagnato nei suoi concerti. Grenville ha
studiato al Royal Conservatory of Music

Orchestra.

Vinz Derosa e' un musicista e cantautore nato in Italia e residente a Woodbridge.
Sin da piccolo appassionato di musica e spettacolo,inizia la sua carriera giovanissimo.Gia' a
sei anni,si presenta sul palcoscenico della sua scuola elementare con canzoni e commedie in
italiano e dialetto calabrese.Piu' tardi, diventa " speaker "
in una radio privata e poi a quattordici anni forma una
band che suona nei matrimoni e nelle feste paesane.
A diciotto anni si trasferisce in Canada ed inizia la sua
carriera discografica.
Il suo primo Compact Disc di canzoni originali e' "Figli
dell'Italia ".A tre anni di distanza esce il secondo ed il più'
fortunato Compact disc: "Cori calabrisi, anima gitana".
Con questo disco Vinz conquista il disco d'oro per volume
di vendite, nella sezione folk in Italia.Cori calabrisi vende
30.000 copie in Italia,Nord America ed Australia.
Seguono altri 4 Compact Disc di grande successo:
Pilu-pilu-pilu, Viva l'Italia, Made in Calabria e Le canzoni
della nonna.
Vinz Derosa durante gli ultimi cinque anni ha fatto
numerose tournée in Italia,Australia,e Nord America.
Ha lavorato a lungo con Pasquale & Rosina Parmiggiano
in veste di musicista ed attore ed ha scritto musiche per
diversi spettacoli comici, documentari e films.
Quest'anno esce il suo settimo Compact Disc di canzoni originali : UN RAGAZZO ITALIANO.
E' un album pieno di belle canzoni sentimentali,romantiche ed anche comiche,tra le quali
spiccano: "Ragazzi Italiani" dedicata a tutti gli italiani che vivono fuori dei confini italiani, "Cuore
di mamma" dedicata a tutte le mamme del mondo, " Stammi accanto Padre Pio", cantata in
coppia con suo fratello Cosimo e poi il suo pezzo forte dell'estate 2014: "Bella Calabrisi".
Vinz Derosa, insieme alla sua band " I ragazzi Italiani " vi aspetta al Festival per farvi
ballare e divertire al ritmo delle sue canzoni.

DLM's Associates...
ON STAGE AT THE
EFSTIVAL!
The associates are a group of do dress young fierece females
who were brought together at DLM studios. Lead by dance
instructor Desahrai Petrucci the Associates have been
together for 2 years now and are
constantly growing and performing as a crew around Toronto
and Vaughan RegIon. The associates dance many styles such
as hiphop dancehall house and vogue. They bring great
energy to the stAge and love sharing the passion of dance with
everyone around them. They're not just a dance crew but a
band of sisters
