1.0 General Information
General Information section explains the general terms used in the system and the
purpose for which they are intended.
1.1 About the App
DocuScan is a popular productivity app that allows the user to Scan, Sign, Annotate,
Add Watermark, Create, Merge and Save PDF. It also offers 100% data security with
Touch ID authentication and Password protection feature.
With the help of DocuScan digitize all your documents with this app or get a print of
the annotated document. You can also share the scanned docs via iCloud, Dropbox or
mail. The password locking feature of the app which can be activated via settings
makes it one of the best app in its category.

GETTING STARTED
2.0 Scope of Tool
• Digitize all Paper Documents.
• Scan Documents- Leave & License Agreement, Salary Slip, Offer Letter, Contracts.
• Scan Receipts- Grocery Receipts, Travel Bills, House Rent Receipts.
• Scan beguiling news pieces and articles.
• Sign e-documents and mail them right away.
• Easy Scanning and Sharing of Documents with Mail, WhatsApp, Evernote and more.
• Keep your travel ticket and hotel bookings handy with DocuScan App.
• An ideal tool for saving all the bills and receipts during the business trip.
2.1 How to Use the App?
Scanning a Document is quite simple with DocuScan App. To begin with, either
tap Gallery or Camera icon and follow the steps mentioned below:
2.1.1 Gallery



Tap the “Gallery” icon.
Gallery must have the image of document that you want to scan.
Select the image and tap on it.



Tapping on the image will showcase a tick sign.
Now Tap on “Done” on the Right Hand Upper Corner of the Screen.
This brings the chosen image to the Home Screen of app.

2.1.2 Camera



Tap the “Camera” icon, to click the image of document that you want to scan.
DocuScan App uses the Camera of your iPhone or iPad.
For best results, keep the document in a well-lit area and stabilize your hand before
clicking the image.
3. DOCUMENT EDITOR
Once, the document, file or image that you want to scan appears on the “Home Page” of App,
you can begin the editing process. Docu Scan allows you to scan not only images, but PDF’s
as well.
To fetch PDF from your mail:



Long tap the PDF
This showcases all the apps on your device which can read PDF
Select “Open in DocuScan App”
Open in
DocuScan App

This brings the PDF, “Leave and License Agreement” in this case, to “PDF’s”
folder of DocuScan App.
To fetch image from mail:



Save the image you have received via mail in Gallery.
Now follow the steps mentioned in point 2.1 “How to Use the App?”
Once you follow the steps correctly, you will reach the Home Page of App (As
showcased in image below).
For this manual, we will select Doc 1, showcased in the image below:

Tap on Doc 1 to get the image in full screen.

Magic Wand
Add Notes to image, if required.
Tap on Magic Wand to change the color of image.
If you do not want to make any more changes to the document, export it as a PDF or
Image.
However, to edit the image:
Select Edit on RHS(As showcased in the image above)
Tapping on Edit showcases the following bar on the bottom of screen:

You can now pick the various features like Signature, Stamp, Crop and more to make the
desired change in the document.
3.1 SIGNATURE


Tap on + icon to add your signature
In this case, we are using the default signature present in the app.

Tap on Apply on Right Hand top corner of the screen.

Click Save.
3.2 STAMP


Tap on + icon to add stamp to the doc.
In this case, we have used the default stamp present in the App.

Tap on Apply, on the Right Hand top corner of the screen.

Click Save
3.3 CROPPING OF DOCS
DocuScan app allows custom or automatic cropping of Documents.
3.3.1Custom Cropping

Users can adjust the area that needs to be cropped using the Custom settings.

Select the crop size and tap Save.
3.3.2 Auto Cropping

DocuScan App allows the user to crop images in specific ratios, like 1:1, 3:4, 2:3 and
many more.

In the image showcased below, 16:9 ratio is selected.

Select the ratio and tap Save.
3.4 BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST/B/W

Brightness, color and contrast of the document can be attuned by adjusting the sliders in
the image below:

3.5 FILTER

DocuScan App offers various filters like Instant, Process, Transfer, Sepia and many more
to transform the document into various shades by picking the right filter option.

Click Apply when you have picked the filter of your choice.
3.6 DOCUMENT ANNOTATION


App allows you to annotate the PDF
You can set the color and thickness as per your discretion which will be reflected in the
annotated document.

3.7 ADD WATERMARK


App allows you to add watermark to the PDF.
+ icon allows you to add the text of your choice as watermark.

Tap save to Apply Watermark.
3.8 Export
Once the changes are made in document, save the doc (Image and PDF) and export it via:



Mail
iCloud
Dropbox.
Open IN
Tap Open IN to save or share the annotated document via Evernote and Whatsapp.
3.8 OPEN DRAWER

Tap on
(Menu) on the Home Page to Open Drawer.

3.9.1 ADD TAGS



DocuScan App allows you to add tags to the scanned docs
Tagging allows you to segregate docs.
Create multiple tags like Home, Office, Travel and more to separate documents
and find them easily when required.
3.9.2 TEMPLATES

The app offers 5 in-built, downloadable templates for quick editing and use to the
users.
3.9.3 SETTINGS

The Settings tab in drawer brings the user to the screen showcased below:



User can set password in DocuScan App and secure their documents from illegal
usage.
Move the Slider and keep the Password Setting ON
Once it is done, the below showcased image will appear.

Add your Email Id and Password to Sign Up on the App.
3.10. IMAGE OPTIONS ORDER


You can reorder the various features that appear in the edit bar.
Long tap the feature that you want to move and change its position, as showcased in the
image below.
