Raiffeisen has been represented in Bosnia and Herzegovina since having acquired Market Banka in 2000.
Raiffeisen BANK d.d. Bosna i Hercegovina emerged from that and quickly advanced to become one of the
country’s leading banks.
In the past year, Raiffeisen was represented countrywide in Bosnia and Herzegovina with 98 business outlets,
and it had 592,000 customers. Total loans to customers came to € 1.4 billion at year-end 2011.
Once the Securities Market Law created the conditions to offer brokerage and securities intermediation services,
Raiffeisen Bank merged its subsidiary Raiffeisen BROKERS d.o.o. into the bank and brought its securities business under one roof. It now offers holistic professional intermediary services and is therefore able to meet the
needs of a more extensive customer base.
Thanks to its orientation to follow new trends in the banking business, Raiffeisen Bank has become the first
and only bank to offer e-pay service. With this service, which enables customers to make purchases through
the internet, it has once again underlined its leading position on the local banking market.
Raiffeisen reinforced its status as a successful all-finance institution with its subsidiaries Raiffeisen Leasing
d.o.o., Raiffeisen Capital a.d. Banja Luka and Raiffeisen INVEST Fund Management Company d.o.o. Sarajevo
In 2011, Raiffeisen BANK was decorated by Global Finance as the “Best Bank” in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
