The Group
The Sunset Enterprises Group of Companies is a wholly Australian, privately owned group of companies
with our Head Office based in Logan City near Brisbane, Queensland. The Sunset Enterprises Group of
companies is comprised of three individual Pty Ltd companies, they are Sunset Enterprises Pty Ltd, Sunset
Equipment Pty Ltd and Moorooka Rentals Pty Ltd., with Doug Gillies as the sole director.
The individual companies all offer unique products and services to the Mining, LNG, Construction, Energy
and Government industry. The group employs 35 full time employees with qualifications across a range of
specialties from civil earthworks plant operation, project management and solution based equipment
sales. The company has experienced significant growth over the past ten years and continues to grow in it
its product range and revenues.
First established by the owner in 1986, the group started as a valued provider of earthmoving equipment
and operators and has expanded its operations to include specialist civil works for communications and
power cable infrastructure projects and the sales, and support of specialised off road equipment,
construction equipment and the short and long term rental of this specialised equipment.

Sunset Equipment Pty Ltd
The equipment company is a provider of sales, service, training and spare parts for a range of specialised
equipment for the off road construction, mining and government sectors. We are the exclusive agents for
the Moorooka Crawlers carriers, Hydrema Earthmoving, Vietz Pipelaying equipment and Dustex dust
suppression solutions.
Sunset equipment is also an authorised supplier of the Toro range of small construction, building and
landscaping equipment with full after sales service and parts. Sunset equipment is an authorised supplier
of the Hydraulink range of hydraulic fittings and accessories and with our in house workshops can provide
our clients with a full suite of mechanical modifications, fabrication , repair and servicing both in house and
on site if required.
Our in house engineering team has over fifty years of combined experience and a reputation for providing
our customers with timely, value for money quality service.
Our Product Range
Moorooka Crawler Carriers
The Moorooka range of rubber track crawler loaders provides equipment that is able to perform in
environments that area both environmentally sensitive and a challenge to conventional off road haulers.
Some of these are environments are steep gradients up to 30⁰, sensitive ground environments such as
sand dunes, agricultural land, wet, soft ground and tight spaces.
Each of the Moorooka series can be delivered with a standard tray back or tipper and Sunset equipment
can assist and provide custom engineering fabrication for specialist tools such as cranes, drill rigs, boring
equipment, water tanks, etc, limited only by our client’s imagination.
The carrying capacity of the range from 2500kg to 34,171 kg means there is a Moorooka for just about any
off road haulage application and the Hydrastatic drive provides for a low maintenance, easy to operate and
efficient on site performance. The Moorooka MST 300 and 800 also have a unique 180⁰ tipper option
allowing for tipping either side of the carrier reducing the need to double handle the load, this has been
used for trench filling in tight spaces, railway and beach restoration.
The 180 ⁰ Tipper feature is available on the MST 300 and MST 800 Moorooka Crawler Loaders.
All Moorooka carriers have the option of roll over protection and some have the option of a fully air
condition operator’s cabin.
Vietz Pipeline Equipment
For over 30Years Vietz has built a reputation for providing quality equipment solutions for the laying of
pipelines across the world, across all sectors of the pipeline industry from onshore, municipal pipeline
construction, oil refineries, water and sewerage and offshore installations.
Sunset Equipment is the only authorised dealer for sales, service and spare parts for the Vietz products
across the Asia Pacific region.
The Vietz VFT500 in line , enclosed pipe welding equipment allows for controlled welding of pipes up to
900mm diameter and when teamed with the other Vietz solutions such as vacuum pipe handling, pipe
alignment systems and pipe heating systems provides a unique fully integrated solution to any pipe laying
project.

provides unique features such as low ground pressure weighting, operator ease of use and safety,

Toro Range
Founded in 1914, Toro is a global provider of equipment to the landscaping, construction and local council
sectors. Sunset Equipment provides sales and support for a range of Toro specialist units from trench
diggers, stump grinders, log splitters, wood chippers, mini loaders and utility vehicles ideal for sites with
limited space and those customers that need to easily relocate the equipment.
The Toro range of mini loaders can be either wheel or track walk behind units and have a full range for
accessories that can be added to meet the needs of most projects. Sunset equipment is an authorised sales
and service for this range of Toro equipment from Sarina to Coffs Harbour with a team of specialists that
can meet and discuss your particular needs.

Moorooka Rentals Pty Ltd
The Moorooka Rentals company is one of the fastest growing companies in the Sunset Enterprises group
and provides quality rental equipment across a range of the products we sell.
We offer short and long term rentals from a day to whatever period is required, and our customer focused
rental team will provide advice and assistance on the best solution to meet your needs.
As well as renting the range of equipment we sell, they also rent specialised construction equipment such
as mini backhoes, trenchers, elevated platforms, rollers, mini dozers and sit on mini loaders and diggers
and all can be rented on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and most come with a variety of useful
attachments.
Our specialist rental team can advise the most cost effective and appropriate rental equipment and term
to suit our customer’s needs.
