5th graders used their map skills in exploring a National Geographic giant map of
North America. Sunset students were able to walk on the map in their socks in a
variety of geography activities. Thank you Sunset PTA for funding the unique learning
experience and 5th grade teacher Deanna Buder for coordinating the project.

Message from the Principal
Thank you for your precious time and valued efforts in
providing a wonderful year of learning at Sunset! Your
commitment, volunteering, financial support and just being
the best parent you can be are so much appreciated.
Parents, teachers, support staff and community working
together have certainly made a positive impact on each
student. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as
Sunset’s principal over the past 11 years. I will always
cherish countless memories of amazing people and
activities that make this place so special. Thank you for
the opportunity of a lifetime!
