Scholarship Giveaway Event Tuesday July 19th
Tuesday July 19th Share Advantage Credit Union is giving away
four scholarships worth $500 each. Use it for tuition, books,
computers, dorm supplies, it’s up to you. No GPA requirements,
no essay to write, winners will be chosen by a random drawing.
How to enter? Be a Share Advantage Credit Union Member by
July 19th, bring in your college ID, or college acceptance letter,
register in person to be entered into the drawing. To receive
a second entry in the drawing bring in school supplies which
will be donated to CHUM. Students who open a new checking
account by July 19th will receive a $25 deposit from SACU
into your new checking account. Enjoy refreshments and

School Supply Collection in July and August
We are a collection site for school supplies for local
schools and children in need. All donations will go
to CHUM to be distributed to the children in the
Duluth area. Purchase a few extra supplies when
you go shopping, notebooks, folders, pencils, erasers,
crayons, markers are always in need. Thank you for
your generous donations.

Annual Bake Sale Fundraiser
for Second Harvest Food Bank September 22-23
For the past several years we have partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank in an effort
to raise money and awareness for Hunger Action Month. The Staff at SACU strives to
make a difference in the lives of families in our community who go without food. Each
year we host a Bake Sale where 100% of the proceeds are matched by SACU and donated
to Second Harvest Food Bank, so for every $1 you spend $2 is donated to Second
Harvest Food Bank. SACU employees donate, make and bake all the delicious goodies
you can purchase from jams, jellies, bars, cookies, cakes, pies, breads, etc. On a diet, or
can’t have sugar? We are collecting cash donations too. Can’t make it here? You might
want to consider reaching out to Second Harvest for volunteer or donation opportunities
that you can participate in this fall.

Share Advantage Credit Union was founded in 1926 by a group of visionary post-office
employees. Originally we were called the Duluth Federal Employees Credit Union.
We are the oldest Credit Union in Duluth and second oldest in the state of Minnesota.
We have grown over the years, merging with Diamond Tool Credit Union in 1995 and
Duluth Medical Services Credit Union in 1999. Today, we are known for our friendly
staff and unwavering commitment to our members. We celebrated with a ribbon cutting
ceremony with the Duluth and Hermantown Chamber of Commerce and several of
our dedicated postal workers and members. We had refreshments and several prize
drawings. We welcome our 126 newest members who became members during our
