year’s cardinal’s appeal of the Archdiocese of New York.
We please humbly ask every parishioner to cooperate so
that we may reach our goal smoothly and in a very short
time. Special envelops are provided in the back of the
church for this year’s annual cardinal’s appeal. Thank you
so much for your cooperation and generosity.
VOLUNTEERS: Please we are looking for volunteers
from the parishioners of English Holy Mass that can
organize others in various suitable groups of spiritual
devotions and various suitable groups of social
entertainments which can always be part of our parish
annual bilingual celebrations. Those who are willing to
volunteer can please fill the forms provided in the back of
the church. Thank you so much in advance.
CANDIDATES FOR CONFIRMATION: Confirmation
Candidates will have their sacrament of reconciliation
(penance) on Saturday June 20th 2015 at 10.00AM. Their
Practice for the Sacrament of Confirmation will be on
Monday June 22nd 2015 at 6:30PM. Each candidate must
come with a sponsor for that confirmation practice. Holy
Mass together with the Celebration of the Sacrament of
confirmation will be on Thursday June 25th 2015 at 7:30pm.
CCD PROGRAM -YEAR 2014-2015: We would like to
inform all parents and guardians who have children in our
CCD program; that our Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
CCD classes for the year 2014 -2015 will end on June 25th,
2015. We shall resume with new classes in September
2015. Many thanks for your cooperation.
FATHER’S DAY ENVELOPS: It is wonderful for us to
pray and honor our Fathers in a very special way each
year. Envelops for Father’s day Mass remembrance can be
obtained from the back of the church. This year’s Father’s
day will be celebrated on Sunday June 21st 2015.
MISSIONARY APPEAL: Every Year the Archdiocese of
New York assigns some missionaries to different parishes
to speak on the importance of Missionary
Cooperation. This year, the Archdiocese has assigned
“Edmund rice Christian Brothers” who will be
preaching on all the Weekend masses of June 13th and 14th
2015. On that day, there will be a collection to support
their missionary work. Please be generous as you always
have been. Thank you so much in advance.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Today we are celebrating the feast
of Corpus Christi (the most Holy Body and Blood of
Christ). At 12:00pm, we will have a procession with the
Holy Eucharist in the streets closer to our church,
accompanied by our bilingual prayers and songs. Please let
us prepare together to express our true adoration and faith
in the Holy Eucharist.

HISPANIC CONGRESS: This year’s Hispanic Congress
will be celebrated on August 9th 2015 at the National
Shrine of divine Mercy. The Faithful who consider making
a pilgrimage to the National Shrine of divine Mercy for the
Hispanic Congress should contact Mary Luz Morel at
646-529-4831.Bus transport fare: $ 50 dollars per person.
Time of departure: 6:00AM.
CELEBRATION: The Christian group known as
“Cursillos de Cristiandad” of the Archdiocese of New
York will celebrate its annual traditional ceremony, known
as “Ultreya del Campo” on August 16th 2015. Bus
transport fare: $ 15 dollars per person. Time of departure:

INDEPENDENCE DAY: We shall have a Holy Mass on
Independence Day Saturday July 4th 2015 in the morning
at 9:30am. Nonetheless our weekend Sunday vigil masses
will certainly be celebrated at the usual time on that day.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: If you or anyone you
love is sick and unable to attend Sunday Holy Mass, please

MASS INTENTIONS: One who wishes to write a Mass
intention for any favor from God should do so early before
Mass begins. Please give your Mass intention to our
church lectors who will respectively announce it before the
beginning of the Holy Eucharist. Envelops for Mass
intentions are on the table in the back of the church.

MOVIMIENTO MATRIMONIAL CATOLICO:
Thanks to all the members of our parish group known as
Movimiento Matrimonial Catolico who last Saturday
organized a very successful spiritual and educative
“congreso de parejas” with a theme “unidos en el
amor.”May the blessings of the holy family of Jesus, Mary
and Joseph be upon us always! Amen.
SUNDAY REFLECTION
All of today's readings are set in the context of the
Passover. The First Reading recalls the old covenant
celebrated at Sinai following the first Passover and the
exodus. In sprinkling the blood of the covenant on the
Israelites, Moses was symbolizing God's desire in this
covenant to make them His family, His "blood" relations.
Quoting Moses' words in today's Gospel, Jesus elevates
and transforms this covenant symbol to an extraordinary
reality. In the new covenant made in the blood of Christ,
we truly become one with His body and blood. The first
covenant made with Moses and Israel at Sinai was but a
shadow of this new and greater covenant made by Christ
with
all
humankind
in
that
upper
room.
The Passover that Jesus celebrates with His 12 apostles
"actualizes," makes real, what could only be symbolized
by Moses' sacrifice at the altar with 12 pillars. What Jesus
does today is establish His Church as the new Israel, and
His Eucharist as the new worship of the living God. In
offering himself to God through the Spirit, Jesus delivered
Israel from the transgressions of the first covenant. And, as
we hear in today's Epistle, by His blood He purified us,
and
made
us
capable
of
true
worship.
God does not want dead works or animal sacrifices. He
wants our own flesh and blood, our own lives, consecrated
to Him, offered as a living sacrifice. This is the sacrifice of
praise and thanksgiving that we sing of in today's Psalm.
This is the Eucharist. What we do in memory of Him is to
pledge our lives to Him, to renew our promise to live by
the words of His covenant and to be His servants.
There is no other return we can offer to Him for the eternal
inheritance He has won for us. So let us approach the altar,
calling upon His name in thanksgiving, taking up the cup
of salvation

WEEKLY EXPOSITION AND ADORATION: Our
Thursday weekly exposition and adoration always begins
at 6:00pm. However as for this time prayers are all done in
Spanish language. Please join us during that great spiritual
adoration.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Hoy celebramos la fiesta de Corpus
Christi (Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo). A las
12:00M, tendremos una procesión con la Sagrada
Eucaristía en las calles cercanas a la iglesia, acompañado
por
oraciones y canciones bilingües. Por favor,
preparémonos juntos para expresar nuestra verdadera
adoración y fe en la Santa Eucaristía.
DÍA DEL PADRE: Es maravilloso para nosotros orar y
honrar a nuestros padres de una manera muy especial cada
año . Los sobres para las intenciones de la misa para el día
del padre están disponibles en la parte posterior de la
iglesia. El Día del Padre de este año se celebrará el
domingo 21 de junio de 2015.
ULTREYA DEL CAMPO: El movimiento de "Cursillos
de Cristiandad" de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York tendrá
su tradicional celebración anual, "Ultreya del Campo", el
16 de agosto 2015, la tarifa del autobús: $ 15 dólares p/p.

PROGRAMA DEL CCD AÑO 2014-2015: Nos gustaría
informar a todos los padres y tutores que tienen niños en
nuestro programa del CCD ; que nuestras clases de los
Miércoles , sábados y domingos para el año 2014 -2015
terminarán el 25 de junio de 2015. Vamos a reanudar con
nuevas clases en septiembre de 2015 . Muchas gracias por

DÍA DE LA INDEPENDENCIA: El sábado 4 de Julio
Tendremos la Santa Misa en el Día de la Independencia a
las 9:30 am. En la tarde tendremos el horario de costumbre

campaña del cardenal de este año de la Arquidiócesis de

candidatos para la Confirmación tendrán su sacramento de
la reconciliación ( penitencia ) el Sábado 20 de junio de
2015 a las 10.00 am . Su Práctica para el Sacramento de la
Confirmación será el Lunes 22 de junio de 2015 a las 6:30
PM . Cada candidato debe venir con su padrino o madrina
para la práctica de confirmación. La celebración del
Sacramento de la Confirmación será el jueves 25 de junio

CAPAÑA MISIONERA: Cada año la Arquidiócesis de
Nueva York asigna algunos misioneros a diferentes
parroquias para hablar sobre la importancia de la
cooperación misionera . Este año , la Arquidiócesis ha
asignado " a la orden de hermanos Cristianos Edmund
Rice" , Un miembro de esta fraternidad estará predicando
en todas las misas del fin de semana del 13 y 14 de junio
de 2015. Ese día , habrá una segunda colecta para apoyar
su trabajo misionero. Por favor, sean generosos como
siempre lo hacen .
SOLEMNIDAD DEL SAGRADO CORAZÓN DE
JESÚS: El viernes 12 de junio 2015 celebraremos la
solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Ese día
oraciones especiales se ofrecerán a nuestros feligreses que
pertenecen al grupo devocional del sagrado corazón de
Jesús. Que las bendiciones del corazón sacratísimo de
Jesús permanezcan siempre con nosotros! Amén.
NTENCIONES DE MISA: Si usted desea escribir una
intención en la misa para dar gracias a Dios o pedir por
algún difunto, debe ir a la rectoría o llegar bien temprano a
la misa. Por favor dé su intención a la persona encargada
de registrarla y todas las intenciones se anuncian al
principio de la Santa misa. Los sobres para las intenciones

CATOLICO:
Gracias a todos los miembros de nuestro grupo parroquial
conocido como Movimiento Matrimonial Católico quien el
sábado pasado organizó un "congreso de parejas" muy
espiritual y educativo, el cual fue muy exitoso. Con el
tema: "unidos en el amor. "Que las bendiciones de la
Sagrada Familia de Jesús, María y José permanezcan sobre

PLENAMENTE VIVA: La catequesis de la Jornada
Mundial de las Familias continua y la próxima será el
domingo 14 de Junio aquí en nuestra parroquia.

REFLEXION DEL DOMINGO
LOS ABOGADOS CATOLICOS DEL SUR DEL

Las lecturas de este día se ubican en el contexto de la
Pascua. La primera de ellas recuerda la Antigua Alianza
efectuada en el Sinaí después de la primera pascua y del
éxodo. Al rociar la sangre de la Alianza sobre los
Israelitas, Moisés simbolizaba el deseo de Dios de hacerlos
parte de su familia, de su sangre.
Citando a Moisés en el Evangelio de este domingo, Jesús
da una nueva dimensión a este símbolo de la Alianza,
elevándolo a una realidad extraordinaria : En la Nueva
Alianza hecha con la Sangre de Cristo, podemos
verdaderamente hacernos uno con su Cuerpo y Sangre.
La primera alianza hecha con Moisés e Israel en el Sinaí
fue apenas una sombra de la Alianza, nueva y mayor,
hecha por Cristo con toda la humanidad en el Cenáculo.
La Pascua que Jesús celebra con sus doce apóstoles
actualiza y hace real lo que solamente fue un símbolo : el
sacrificio de Moisés en el altar de doce pilares. Lo que
Jesús hace hoy es establecer a su Iglesia como la Nueva
Israel y su Eucaristía como el nuevo culto al Dios vivo.
Al ofrecerse a Sí mismo a Dios por el Espíritu Santo, Jesús
libera a Israel de los pecados de la Antigua Alianza. Como
escuchamos en la epístola de hoy, Él nos ha purificado por
medio de su sangre, y nos ha hecho capaces de rendir un
culto verdadero.
Dios no quiere obras muertas ni sacrificios de animales.
Quiere nuestra carne y sangre—es decir, nuestras vidas—
consagradas a Él, ofrecidas como sacrificio viviente.
Ese es el sacrificio de alabanza y acción de gracias del que
habla el salmo de hoy. Esto es la Eucaristía.
Lo que hacemos en memoria Suya es entregar nuestras
vidas a Cristo y renovarle nuestro compromiso de servirle
y ser fieles a su Alianza.
No hay otra cosa que podamos ofrecerle a cambio de la
herencia eterna que él nos ha ganado. Por tanto,
acerquémonos al altar para invocar su Nombre en acción
de gracias y alzar «la copa de la victoria».

SACRAMENTS
BAPTISM: This sacrament is celebrated on the last
Sunday of each month. Parents should call the Rectory
for appointment to register.
CONFESSIONS: The sacrament of reconciliation takes
place every Saturday from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM. One
can as well arrange for a confession during the week by
calling a priest for an appointment.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK: One can call the
rectory and speak to a priest. Please let us also know of
those parishioners who are homebound. Communion is
often brought to the sick and to the homebound by
priests, deacon and our Eucharistic Ministers.
MATRIMONY: Couples must make arrangements at
least six months before their wedding date. Please call
the Rectory for an appointment with a Priest.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: Religious educationCCD class schedule of Wednesdays, Saturdays and
Sundays of each week. Call to the rectory for more
