We look forward to seeing you there! Hillendale Highlights General Manager Update Dear Members, Joe Fulco, CCM, CCE May is finally here but when will it ever warm General Manager/COO up? What appeared to be an early spring in [email protected] March soon reverted back to colder weather as we began April. Regardless, business at the Club has been spectacular. We just complete the Club’s Annual Meeting and I am happy to report there are many positive takeaways from the meeting: ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Our new membership drive has produced 17 new families to join HCC (our membership attrition for the first four months was 11 families mainly due to relocations). Our operating results for the first quarter were slightly behind budget. The operating assessment was discussed and a letter is being mailed to the membership to outline this matter. Membership remains our top priority! Please consider inviting a friend to play the golf course or enjoy Pasta Night. Haleigh can handle all the arrangements. Our social/sporting calendars are packed with events for the entire family . Now is the time to get involved and enjoy the many wonderful events. Consider hosting an event at HCC! We can do anything you need please contact Tina Lutzi Regler and let us do the work. The crowd for the Annual Meeting was less than expected if any Member would like to meet with me for an update on any Club matter please reach out and I will set up a time to meet with you. Later this month, over Memorial Day Weekend, our pool facility will open and we are very excited about kicking off the holiday on a positive note. We have revised the menu at the pool snack bar and we have added several new salad and healthy choices to our menu. We will also host a “Schools Out Party” on the last day of school at the pool which will include a DJ and special buffet. It is summer time, so let’s let the kids have a blast. Tennis is off to a good start with our new Tennis Professional, Jamie Peterson and the tennis courts are open and ready for play. We have added some new furniture on the tennis deck area, so feel free to watch your friends play and enjoy a beverage of your choice. Please make your Mother’s Day reservation as soon as possible, Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year and we want to accommodate as many Members as possible. This will be a huge day for the Club. Men’s twilight has taken center stage on Wednesday nights. We always look forward to when the Club is packed and everyone is enjoying the camaraderie that takes place. Please grab a partner and sign up, you will have a great time. Please take the time to read this newsletter as we have many exciting events planned at the Club this month. As with all events your presence matters, so please RSVP as soon as possible. As we head into summer I am extremely excited about the direction the Club is heading. From my perspective we have the right team in place and everyone is working hard. Please continue to provide me and the team with your feedback, suggestion and recommendations as we continue to improve a very special Club. Enjoy the month of May and I look forward to seeing you often at the Club!! Sincerely, Joseph Fulco, CCM, CCE General Manager/ COO www.hillendalecc.com Page 2 Membership Update Haleigh Fulco Membership Marketing Director [email protected] May is finally here and the weather seems to be cooperating with us. This means GOLF! As we approach Summer, the 2016 Membership Drive to 375 really begins to kick-off. I’m very excited to keep the positive momentum going at the Club! Please join me in welcoming new Members Rich & Heather Compton (Social) to the Club, and take the time to view the posted candidate information. The current Membership Drive for new Members is outlined on the bottom of this page, and the internal promotion continues: those that bring on and sponsor a new Member at the Club will eat & drink on the house! We are opening the new 7th tee complex for play this month. Although it has been a long process, I’m very pleased with the outcome of this project. For the first couple weeks of May, the tees will still be a little thin, but we will continue to push growth so the final product is the same as the 3rd tee we completed last year. As I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, this course improvement project was completed by utilizing the club’s Angel Funds, so if you’ve donated to the program, I thank you for your support. Lola’s hard work is really starting to become visible around the club. The bulbs she planted last fall are blooming giving the club a great splash of spring color. Later this month, she will be planting over 1,000 annuals around the course to provide the club with more color throughout the year. On Sunday May 22, the club will be honoring Mr. Dick Irvin at this year’s Legacy Open. This will be an excellent event to attend and celebrate one of Hillendale’s most decorated golfers. Mr. Irvin has been a member at the club for 57 years and has contributed considerably to the legacy of Hillendale beyond his golfing achievements. Please sign up to join us on the 22nd to honor Mr. Irvin’s legacy with the club. I look forward to seeing you on the course!
