machinists, transit professionals and of course bicyclists. Because the road from original idea to finished product
can be a challenging one, we work closely with our customers to ensure effective communication of ideas in order
to help us create a successful and positive result.
The Bike-Rack-for-BusesTM product line was born out of a passionate interest in making cycling more accessible
to more people. Our engineers, like many of our employees, are cycling enthusiasts. They took a great idea and
shaped it into an industry leading product by utilizing our tube bending and world class manufacturing expertise. Our customers range in size from a fleet of one bus to fleets of over 2,000 buses. Sportworks transit tough bike racks began as the industry standard and are still the standard today over 20 years
after the first rack rolled off the line. We have maintained our position in the market because we listen to our
customers. We design and manufacture products that address our customers’ needs and connect communities

About Us
Our Story
Sportworks® has been designing and manufacturing bicycle products since 1990. We designed our first BikeRack-for-BusesTM in 1993 and currently supply these transit racks to over 500 municipalities throughout North
America. In 2011, we developed a line of stationary bike parking products including the innovative No Scratch®
rack, the first bike rack with a fully integrated, non-abrasive bumper that protects bikes. Sportworks® transit racks
meet Buy America requirements and all of our bike parking products conform to the strict material sourcing criteria
of the Living Building Challenge and LEED.
