Natalia Lafourcade is one of Mexico’s
critically acclaimed female pop-rock
singer/songwriters. Her use of diverse
music genres and distinctive voice led
her 2003 self-titled album to go threetimes platinum in Mexico with songs
such as “Busca un Problema,” “Te
Quiero Dar,” and “Elefantes.” In 2005,
Natalia and her band La Forquetina
released their platinum album “Casa,”
which presented a rock-oriented sound
with pop and bossa nova influences.
“Casa” won the Latin Grammy for Best
Rock Album by a Duo or Group with
Vocal and several MTV Latin America
awards. Natalia’s forthcoming album
“Hu Hu Hu” is one of the most
anticipated records of 2009.
Born Luis Alberto Cuevas Olmedo in
Santiago de Chile, Beto Cuevas is
perhaps best known as the lead
vocalist for famed rock en español
band, La Ley. For 15 years, Beto,
along with his bandmates toured the
world, playing well-known hits “El
Duelo,” “Fuera de Mi,” “Cielo Market”
and “Aqui,” to sold out crowds in the
U.S. Europe and Latin America. Beto
released his first solo album in
September of 2008 for which he
wrote, composed and produced all
tracks, including the hit single
“Vuelvo.”
Pablo Hurtado is the lead guitarist for
the Mexican trio Camila who debuted
in 2006 with their album “Todo
Cambió.
Since then, Camila has
placed themselves among the top
spots on many radio stations
worldwide, thanks to their most
famous
singles
“Abrázame”
“Coleccionista de Canciones” and
“Todo Cambió”. “Todo Cambio”, has
sold over 220 thousand copies in
Mexico, more than 85,000 copies in
the US, and has received Double
Platinum discs in Mexico, and gold in
the United States. Camila are set to
release the most awaited Latin album
of the year in fall of 2009 and will
follow it up with a US and Latin
American tour.
Born in Los Angeles to parents o f
Mexican extraction, Keven Ramirez is a
radio personality for SuperEstrella
107.1 in L.A. As host of ‘RockStar” on
SuperEstrella
and
“RockStar
SuperEstrella” on the LATV network,
Keven brings rock en espanol fans
closer to their favorite bands every
week, interviewing the hottest acts in
Latin music today. According to Keven,
he is a lover of music, to the degree
that he keeps a radio in his
bathroom. He never thinks or doubts
too much, he simply acts. He does not
like making war, just love.
