YE RA NTY * 5 A R W AR Peacefully quiet fresh air Sonair is a mechanical air filter designed to ensure a controlled and quiet supply of fresh, filtered outdoor air. Sonair is commonly used to provide filtered fresh air to building occupants in locations where windows need to be closed to avoid noise and/or unpleasant fumes (carbon filter – F9K). This occurs frequently where schools, public buildings and homes are built near major freeways, airports or roads subject to high density traffic. Other applications include buildings close to rubbish pits, sewerage farms, heavy industrial production or even rural activities such as chicken batteries. Sonair is mounted on the inside of an exterior wall and draws in outdoor air through a wall sleeve. The fan is mounted in a sound-absorbing chamber, which absorbs both the fan and air movement noise, as well as most external environment noise. The outdoor air is blown vertically into the room through a filter, eliminating draughts and resulting in a healthy and comfortable indoor environment. The rate at which air is supplied can be varied to a maximum of 225m3/hr using the standard G3 filter and 100mm supply duct. BENEFITS OF SONAIR Supply of clean, fresh air to sealed rooms rovides filtered, outdoor air to building P occupants Quiet operation Excellent isolation of external sound ir blown vertically to avoid creation A of draughts Variable air flow rate Low energy consumption Simple filter maintenance and replacement Shut off capability when not in operation HOW DOES SONAIR WORK? Filtered and fresh air FEATURES OF SONAIR External air supply roduct includes Sonair unit, P 300mm x 100mm plastic through-wall pipe and external grille upplied with G3 filter which removes S 70-80% of particles greater than 10µm including pollen, hair and spores Flow rate variable up to 225m³/hr ower consumption 9.6W at 60m³/hr P flow rate Operating noise level is 23dB(A) at 60m³/hr AIR FILTERING Sonair is supplied with a standard class G3 filter. This filter is used in conditions with normal dust levels. The filter removes 70% to 80% of particles larger than 10μm, including pollen, hair and spores. It is also possible to fit Sonair with F6 and F9k filters which can remove extremely small dust particles. Carbon in the F9k filter also absorbs odours.
