Rockingham Dragway Rockingham Dragway October 19‐21, 2012 Fans enjoyed all of the midway displays More and more on the midway! Fans were able to see some of the latest vehicles from Chevrolet, as well as custom display vehicles that Chevrolet Performance created. Event participants were able to shop the midway and purchase components for their race cars components for their race cars and show cars from Chris Alston’s Chassisworks and other vendors and series sponsors. p Car Show entries ranged from ‘56 & ‘57 Chevys to late model 5th Generation Camaros (Above) Tom Johnson drove his new Camaro to Rockingham from Virginia to compete for and win the coveted CamaroGuys Gen 5 Challenge trophy, while John Pierce from N. Carolina won the Aeromotive coveted CamaroGuys Gen 5 Challenge trophy while John Pierce from N Carolina won the Aeromotive Eliminator Award with a perfect reaction time, on a near perfect run. (Below) Lee Astle won the DriveDuracell.com class & a case of LAT Racing Oil. The event featured Extreme Outlaw Pro Modifieds. The festival atmosphere that is the Super Chevy Show series provided a lot of entertainment provided a lot of entertainment for fans watching the races, and viewing all of the car show entries. On top of that, fans p , participated in the Revell Make ‘N Take model building activity for families, walked over to the swap meet area, and attended daily car show awards.
