Howdy Folks,
This morning I woke up, put on a jacket and had a nice cup
of coffee on the back deck. It’s been a while since I could say
that! It’s shaping up to be a beautiful fall here in Oklahoma. And
not just because of the weather.
The TBDA has all kinds of exciting stuff to share with you.
Secretary/Treas. This month at our meeting we’ll have a representative from our
Roy Marshall new sponsor Victor Premium Dog Food. He’ll be here to answer
918-835-5016 all your questions about their line including the grain-free foods
that they offer.

Also at the meeting, we’ll have Elena J. Shirley, DVM with
Keith Lindsay Hunters Glen Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Shirley will be talking to

the kind of information that we all need a refresher on from time
to time. Heading into the season is a great time to brush up on
your K-9 first aid.

Of course the biggest thing this month is the beginning of our fall
gun dog trial season. Check page 7 for the dates. We’ll have a
fun hunt and of course our fun hunt. The grass at the club is still
shorter than we’d like, but with all this rain and a little sunshine,
we should have plenty by the time we start.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up last week to help clean
up the clubhouse and set the field. It’s already looking a lot
better. We do still have some junk to haul off from behind the
clubhouse. If you have space in your truck at the trial and would
volunteer to help, please talk to an officer at the fun hunt.

TBDA/Victor Sponsorship Program
The Tulsa Bird Dog Association has a new sponsor for our gun dog trials and other
events for the 2012-2013 season. In order for us to keep this sponsor, we must support the
purchase of their product line. The TBDA needs members to support this program. It is
very hard to find a sponsor today willing to provide product for our trials and events.
We will purchase Victor Dog Food from Bixby Farm & Ranch on a monthly basis in
quantity. Orders must be placed on Friday before our monthly meeting on Tuesday for
distribution. This price for such a premium food is very cost effective. All standard bags
are 40 lbs., grain free bags are 30 lbs.

will begin ordering food for the first gun dog trial of the season.
