YOUR PRESENTERS:
Spanky Assiter
Spanky, who lives in Canyon, Texas, is the founder of the
auctioneering firm Assiter & Associates. He has been an
Auctioneer for 25 years and has hosted approximately 4,000
auctions. In 2007, he was inducted into the Texas Auctioneers
Association Hall of Fame and the National Auctioneers
Association Hall of Fame. Spanky was elected president of the
NAABoard of Directors in July 2015 inAddison, Texas.
John Korrey
From a young age John Korrey knew that he wanted to be an
auctioneer. Traveling with his father every week to various
livestock auctions when his dad would sell the produce that he
raised on their farm and ranch, Johns attention would be on the
auctioneer, he practiced and then went to auction school at
ReischAuction School.
John wanted to pass on some of his experience in the auction profession and his hope is
to pass on tips to everyone from the beginning auctioneer to the seasoned ones.All in effort in
making the auction profession better.
Today, John is an auctioneer for Ritchie Brothers and is a contract auctioneer for many
livestock markets in his region. He also authored a DVD “Chant of a Champion” covering
voice control, timing, communication, working with ring people and clerks and more.
Paul C. Behr
Paul C. Behr is a first-generation Auctioneer and has conducted more than 8,500 auctions during his career. He is president and owner of the World Wide College of Auctioneering and
the World Automobile Auctioneers Championship.
Paul received the 2011 National Auto Auction Association
(NAAA) Bernie Hart Memorial Auctioneer of the Year Award. In
addition, Behr has received numerous honors including as one of
only two people in auctioneering history to be a three-time World
Champion Auctioneer. He was the first NAA International Auctioneer Champion in 1988, the 1989 World Champion Livestock Auctioneer and 1995 All
Around World Champion Auctioneer.
Lance Larington
Lance & Carlene Larington own Nebraska PrintWorks, formerly
High Plains Printing, in Ogallala.
Lance is a print and marketing specialist. He has experience in
marketing and direct mailing. He is a 1992 Ogallala High School
graduate and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney
earning a degree in Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design. He
completed his internship at the Keith County News for ad design and
photography, then gained additional experience working as the
Creative Services Coordinator for 5 years at the Kearney Hub
newspaper. During that time he also worked on the side for his own
graphic design and photography business until purchasing the print shop. He did a short stint
in between Kearney and Ogallala as anArt Teacher in Red Cloud, Nebraska.
Craig Larabee
Craig Larabee is the Education Director and former
owner and President of Larabee School of Real Estate &
Insurance, Inc. with schools and classes throughout
Nebraska. Craig now operates JMSK Corporation out of
Lincoln, Nebraska.
Craig has taught pre-licensing and continuing education
since 1977 for private schools, colleges, Boards of Realtors,
Certified Commercial Investment Broker’s (CCIM) Chapters.
He has been a featured speaker at many conventions
including the Nebraska Auctioneers and has instructed at the Nebraska Realtors Association
State Convention. Mr. Larabee has also instructed at the Real Estate Educator’s, REEA,
National Convention.
