River Bluff Middle School February 27 2015 WHO TO CALL? Animal Science Classes Get Hands-On Experience 8th Grade Animal Science Classes were introduced to the process of milking a cow. Along with mastering the technique, students learned that milking cows need to be milked at the same time every day, twice a day. Though most farms today have expensive milking machines, the students enjoyed the hands-on experience. March 2 River Bluff Swimming Program The Stoughton Area School District athletic programs are offering a competitive experience in swimming for middle school participants. Students who enjoy swimming may wish to consider participating in this program to find out what competitive swimming in high school will be like. Each participant should know the basics of freestyle and backstroke and should be able to swim 25 yards of each. The program will give participants the understanding of the four competitive strokes, turns for those strokes, and using the starting blocks for each of the starts. Participants will swim with a qualified coach . The program will run from March 16-20 after school at the High School pool. Students should listen to announcements for an upcoming meeting (to be held during the lunch period). Interested students can also pick up a form in the River Bluff office or by seeing Mrs. Braund.
