Family movie time on the big screen at the Glenleigh pool returns! The final dive-in movie
this pool season will be Saturday, August 18. Please email the social committee if you
would like to suggest a movie or theme, ‘cause this heat is sapping our creative juices!
Then check the evite that will come out beginning of August for the final selection. Movie
will begin as soon as it is dark, beverages and snacks provided.
The Pool Closing Party on Saturday, September 29 will be our last big summer family
celebration. This year’s party will include a lifeguard, music, food, and other fun. Check the
September newsletter for more information to come on our end-of-the-summer spectacular.
The Fall Festival will be Sunday, October 28 and will feature a Halloween theme.
There will be a chili cook-off, bounce house and carnival games for the kids, and other
surprises.
Help is needed for all these events. Please email us at [email protected] to
volunteer!
Vandalism
We recognize that there is continued vandalism up and down Nickajack Road. There has
been paint on the front signs of other neighborhoods such as Shannon Green, on some of
the street signs, and even on our own fence along Nickajack. Even though this is
occurring, our subdivision has been lucky this year not to have any further vandalism of our
playground. However, we continue to ask for all Glenleigh homeowners to drive into the
pool parking area from time to time to show our presence, but do not approach anyone if
you are not comfortable with it. Please do not hesitate to call the police at any time if you
see people acting suspicious who are on Nickajack, in our subdivision, or on our commons
areas at odd times or late at night. Also remember to email [email protected] if
the lights on the signs or in the parking lot are out, as having them on is a major deterrent
to vandalism.
Pool Update
Please remember to bring only non-glass beverage and food containers to the pool. There
has been a lot of glass found at the pool recently. A little glass can cause a lot of problems
for bare feet. Decant beverages out of glass into non-breakable containers, and bring metal
cans whenever you can instead of glass bottles.
