Abu-Ghazaleh Extends Gratitude to the German Government
for its Contribution in Technically Enriching JOrchestra
AMMAN
The
Jordanian
National
Orchestra
Association (JOrchestra), whose Board of
Trustees is chaired by HE Dr. Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh, performed in a joint
Jordanian-German concert entitled "
Jordanian-German Dialogue" with Junges
Ensemble Berlin (JEB) Sinfonieorchestre.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh thanked the German
Foreign Minister for the patronage of his
concert and the German Ambassador her
presence. He expressed his gratitude
to the German government for its
contribution in enriching JOrchestra through
the classical musical heritage and the
technical cooperation.
He stressed that “the concert comes as an
essential part of the JOrchestra's role in the
continuous
cooperation
with
various
international orchestras and conductors.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Siefker-Eberle expressed
her happiness to attend this special concert
that is characterized by the special musical
dialogue in the presence of many musicians.
She also stressed the importance of such
institutional cooperation between both
JOrchestra and JEB.
Under the patronage of German Federal
Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier
and in the presence of German Ambassador
to Amman HE Birgitta Maria Siefker-Eberle,
the concert was held in cooperation with the
Royal Cultural Center and has received the
kind support of the Goethe Institute in
Jordan. The concert was attended by many
diplomatic and official figures and fans of the
classical music.
The concert was marked by the dialogue
between both the JOrchestra conducted by
Muhammad Sidiq and the JEB conducted
by Maestro Michael Riedel. This concert
came to complement the German-Jordanian
musical concert conducted last January in
Berlin.
About thirty members of JOrchestra and
forty of the German musicians performed in
the concert. Among them, Wolfgang
Hermann performed the "Violin Concerto" by
Tchaikovsky. For his part, Sidiq performed
the Dialogue of Flute and Nay which he
himself composed.
Maestro Michael Riedal joined the orchestra
on the flute and Hassan Al Faqir on the Nay.
The performers also distinctively performed
the Symphony n.9 from "the New World" by
Antonin Dvořák, the famous Czech composer, and other piece of classical music.
