Welcome! HTM transports you safely by bus, tram and
RandstadRail to your destination in the Hague or the
seaside resorts of Scheveningen and Kijkduin.
But its also easy to travel with HTM to Delft and the
adjoining municipalities of the Hague such as Rijswijk
and Zoetermeer.
The HTM Tour Guide is a handy guide that will help you
travel to to all the wonderful places the Hague has to offer.

HTM tickets and travel products...
1. OV-chipkaart
Do you have sufficient credit on your OV-chipkaart? Then you can check in at the start of your
journey by holding your OV-chipkaart in front of
the pink logo on the card reader. The card reader
will produce a confirmation signal and debit a
boarding fee of € 4.00 from the credit on your
card. You must check out at the end
of your journey, using the same method as when you checked in. The fee
for your journey will be calculated
and the difference will be refunded.
The display will show the exact fee
for your journey on the right and the remaining
credit on your OV-chipkaart on the left.
If you don’t have an OV-chipkaart, you can
purchase an anonymous OV-chipkaart
and top it up at one of the HTM Service
Points:
• Den Haag Centraal Station (bus platform)
• Den Haag Hollands Spoor
• Wagenstraat 35 (next to De Bijenkorf)
• Centrum-West (Zoetermeer) stop
You must always check in and out, including
when you transfer to a different tram or bus
during your journey.
You can also ask about travel products
for on your OV-chipkaart, which will cut
the cost of travelling by public transport.

You don’t have an OV-chipkaart? Then you can
purchase an individual HTM Day Pass (€ 7,50)
or an HTM Children’s Day Pass ( € 5,-) for the
children. You can also purchase travel products
for on your OV-chipkaart. There are travel
products for 1, 2 and 3 days.

4. Night Network
3 You can use the HTM night network
4 every hour from 02:00 to 05:00 on
Thursday, Friday and Saturday night
(bus route N1-N6). You have to purchase a special
ticket from the bus driver for this service.
This ticket costs € 4.70.

The Hague city centre is a wonderful place to
visit if you like shopping. The shops around the
Grote Marktstraat and Spuistraat are the most
well known. But you should also try visiting
other parts of the Hague for a pleasant surprise.
Novel shops in streets full of atmosphere, such
as the Noordeinde, Denneweg and the Prinsestraat, are quite an experience in themselves.

Visiting the beach by car? Then park at
P+R Hoornwijk. This P+R site is near the
Ypenburg exit on the A4 and the Den
Haag-Zuid exit on the A13. From here you
can depart every ten minutes in the summer months on the budget-priced beach
express (tram 5: Strand Express) and travel
directly to Scheveningen beach.
A ticket on the Strand Express is a bargain
and is valid for four people for the entire

Get home really late with the HTM Night bus!
Most Night Buses leave from the centre at
02:00 and keep running till late, even up to
3 05:00 on Friday and Saturday night. The central
4 hub for all HTM Night Buses is the Centrum bus
5
stop on the Buitenhof. You can recognises the
stops along the HTM Night Bus routes by a white
sticker on the bus stop sign with designations from N1 to N6.
Sometimes the Night Bus will not stop at a standard bus stop
but will stop at an extra stop. You can recognise these by a yellow
bus stop sign with the white sticker.

Where can I purchase an HTM Night Bus ticket?
You can purchase an HTM Night Bus ticket from the HTM Night
Bus ticket driver or from one of the advanced sales addresses.
A ticket costs € 4.70. You can use it on all of the HTM Night
Buses, including transfers.
Travel passes, OV-chipkaarten and student’s OV-chipkaarten
are not valid on HTM Night Buses.

• Travel at reduced rates by purchasing a ticket
(OV-chipkaart or individual Day Pass) in advance.
• The bus stops display information about the lines that stop there
