PROJECT OVERVIEW
William Jermain is a single architect living in
beautiful downtown Chicago. His condo, 155 N.
Harbor Dr. #307 has breathtaking views of Lake Shore
Drive, however, the current closed floor plan makes
enjoying these views difficult. His problem areas are
the kitchen, living, dining and den. During this
remodel, the outdated spaces will be transformed
into contemporary and sophisticated designs with an
architectural feel.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Upon entering the condo, one will be met with
light streaming through the large picture windows to
the north. The now open floor plan provides the
essential flow of natural light. Line is used to guide
the resident and guests through the renovated
space. Clear traffic patters are created through floor
and ceiling patterns. Each space is designed with
entertainment and comfort in mind but is made
unique through specific architectural elements and
contemporary pieces.
