Hello,
By the time you read this, the Vernal Equinox will have
occurred and it will be Spring, hopefully even in Montana.
Dixie and I have had a good winter and we hope you
did as well. We spent most of the winter visiting family and friends in Washington, Oregon, California and
Arizona. We made a side trip via ‘airplane’ to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico the first week of March. And, even though
I’m writing this in late March, we’re looking forward to
returning home to Great Falls in a few weeks.
I also want to remind everyone that per our club bylaws
we are required to hold two business meetings a calendar
year. We usually conduct them in the months of June and
September. Therefore the first one this year will be held
at the Billings rally in June. It would be nice to see many
of our members attend this meeting/rally hosted by Bob
and Becky Hagen.
I hope to see everyone soon.

We still need some members to volunteer for rallies in the
months of August and September. Many thanks to Bob
& Becky Hagen for volunteering to host the ‘pre-rally’
in Billings in June. After this rally, we plan to continue
on to Gillette, WY for FMCA’s 88th Family Reunion on
June 19 - 22. Thanks also goes to Donn & Julia Borden
for volunteering to host a rally in July the Mission Valley
Rally. I encourage everyone to attend as many of these
rallies as possible. It’s what our club is all about; getting
together to have fun, fellowship and sharing experiences
of our RV lifestyle.
Also: There has been a request to anyone who would like to
help with Early Security or Security. Early security - Arrival is
Sat., June 15th, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Duties are
Monday, the 16th and Tuesday the 17th. Security - Arrival is
Sun., June 16th between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You must be
registered for the rally; there would be no camping charge for
the early days if you come in as volunteers on your appointed
arrival day. Duties begin Tuesday, the 17th. The duties are to be
sure only appropriate people enter the respective areas. Those
people will be identified by badges. Each person will be asked
to work two four hour shifts. Offers to work additional shifts
are usually welcome, but not required. If interested contact
Marv at [email protected]
Editors Note: This
conflicts with the June rally hosted by the Hagens in Billings.

I hope everyone had a good winter whether it was in Montana
or places south. We had a good time in Arizona. Now its time
to start thinking of the Summer in Montana. We have good
rallies planned by the Hagens and the Bordens.
We really need someone to step up and host a rally for August
and September. Our club depends on its members to not only
attend rallies but to volunteer to host them as well. It is not
difficult to host a rally. You make it what you want it to be.
Susie and I are here to help in everything aspect of the rally if
needed. If anyone has any suggestions on fun places or things
to do, your favorite campsites/cities etc., please let me know.
June 2013 Rally: Bob and Becky Hagen are planning a prerally in conjunction with the National Rally in Gillette
Wyoming. More information will follow in the next months
newsletter. The rally will be held June 15, 16, and 17 with
travel to the National Rally on the 18th. More info will follow
in the May Newsletter.
July 2013 Rally: Donn and Julia Borden - The Mission Valley Rally, July 18th - 21st in Ronan. There will be lots to
see and do including the Polson Cherry Festival. Polson &
Flathead Lake are about 15 miles north of Ronan. A rally flyer
will be attached to the May 1st newsletter.
I hope everyone received their new roster. It was mailed the
end of December. If you did not let me know and I will send
you one. If you have a correction for the roster please let me
know so I can put it in the newsletter and correct it in the next
printing of the roster.
You should have also received a 5x7 sign to put in your windshield during our rallies. A kind of Gene & Susie Farr
lapel pin only for your motor home. Helena, Montana

Every new member will receive one
of these signs free of charge.

The first day of Spring is one thing, and the first
Spring day is another. The difference between
them is sometimes as great as a month.

From Klaas & Johanna - We
took our coach to Florida
for some maintenance in
November and then joined
the FMCA S.E.A. rally
in Brooksville, Fl. at the
grounds of the Hernando

motto was: “SEA salutes the
Military”. We had a wonderful time and there was lots to see
and do. The coach worked fine and we hope to travel back to
Montana the end of April, early May with some stopovers in
Louisiana and Texas.
