This is the French stretch of EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route connecting Norway to Portugal. www.lavelodyssee.com Since November 2000, from Sully-sur-Loire (Loiret) to Chalonnes-sur-Loire (Maine-et-Loire), the Loire Valley has been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO for its cultural landscapes. It is the largest area in France to be listed as such, stretching out over a length of 280 km and representing a surface area of 800 km2.
