EDELWEISS is an evocative word, talking about walks in the mountains,
snow-covered peaks and simple discoveries, like a strawberry field at the
end of a path, or an edelweiss hidden among rocks.
EDELWEISS is the most straightforward among the collections by Sartoria
Vico: clean shapes and rigorous volumes, nearly classic, with a contemporary twist and a wink at design for the multifunction garments.
Simplicity is both inspiration and purpose, never exceeding in minimalism.
No buttons or finishes, only textures with different combinations of weight
and density. This collection is a modular game between the recurrences of
cuts and the perfection of lines. Volumes reveal themselves once a garment
is worn, taking shape on the body.
EDELWEISS is a spontaneous collection, you look at it and think you’ve already seen it in a photo album or in an old movie, with its strong, straightforward yet modern shapes ad cuts. Neutral and ethereal colors fit in any
wardrobe with harmony and naturalness, giving birth to new balances and
unlimited combinations.
The well-established range by Sartoria Vico, like oversize cardigan, shawl,
skinny bi-color and the thousands hoods, is now enlarged with new items:
the crimp-waist longuette, available in divided skirt version as well, the
macro-ribs short top, the oversize dress with bicolor stripes and the inevitable all-in-one with deep neckline and contrasting colors.
The men mini-collection, originally a rib of the women range, keeps growing
year by year and secures its place with naturalness.
From FW2013 it will be available in select European boutiques. The first
items derived from the pieces de résistance of the women collection: the turtleneck sweater, 16-ply woven, the cardigan chunky, half a sweater and half
a smoking jacket, the jumper with switch stitch and the striped cardigan.
