Will change link frequency to test. Carbon link VE6CID turned off Feb. 23, due to incoming interference noise. Frank, Dale & th th Tony July 20 checked Enmax meter readings, Completed Inventory tagging. Sept. 17 Bill, th Frasnk & Tony at site to fine tune west 5.8 GHZ link to Pigeon Mtn. @ 4 pm. Dave Feb. 20 changed VHF repeater to a DR1-X as a stand alone till interface cables reconfigured to allow Voip function. The D Star system is functioning well from the Southland Plaza. Max & Lindsay finished HP server software upgrade Oct.3, 2014 Nov. 30 the HP server is now in service and running with XRF. The th CANET is now operational Friday Dec. 5 2014. The VHF Repeater and Links are functional on the shelves. All radios require a PL of 110.9. A second trip is planned to install the radios into the rack. APRS is planned once tower compliance is ok’d. st A DR-1X repeater was installed Dave & Doug Feb.1 2015 links continue to work well. The ½ Multi coupler was return as well along with the old WR154 repeater radios. th The repeaters functions were tested on air via VA6PJB. A trip Feb 8 two new rack shelves were th installed. Problem resolved with VHF RX Nov.17 2014 am. VE6MX WR90 VHF repeater is working well on a RLC-4 controller. A Pl of 110.9 is required Tony’s trip Apr.25 tested UHF repeater 444.200 +5M found controller required programming. The Auto Patch still needs to be resolved with low audio for hand held radios. Protection Mountain Aug. 27, 2014 Doug VE6CID and Gerry VE6QLT installed the VHF repeater and the APRS. The ½” Heliax had to be replaced due to a lightning strike. A future trip is plannd. nd The FR3000 VHF Repeater installed June 11, 2013, covers the K100 Relay race June 22 2013. rt. nd April 22,14 VE6AQA was turned back on, A 2 140 watt Solar panel, controller and 2 new 140 amp batteries have been installed September 29, 2014. A test UHF link radio was also installed. A APRS unit was installed Oct.13, 2015 by Tony & Frank plus 6’6” rack. Interference from APRS was noted. A trip Oct.19, 2015 resolved the problem in the RCL-4 controller. A WR VHF repeater installed to save battery power drain. The VE6MX UHF repeater continues to work well at the Suncor (Petro Canada) site. A temporary Insurance certificate has been supplied and our annual fee has been paid. 2014 The contract has duly signed and co signed. A WiFi link to Pigeon Mtn. was successfully installed September 24, 2014. Jan. 17, 2015 Dave & Doug installed a Yaesu DR-1X VHF Repeater in analog mode along with a Network VOIP config. The original batteries from Pigeon Mountain are now installed at this site The City repeater is working quite well. Providing good city coverage on 147.18 -600 Khz. Ski Louise will proceed with site preparations The repeater was install October 30, 2014. A technical problem occurred with the FR3000 radio. The replacement VHF Repeater was installed Dec.15, 2014 by the Ski Louise Technician. A review trip is planned for March 20th. The Aprs unit is preforming well. On December 15, Doug VE6CID, Gerry VE6QLT and Dave VA6DBA up graded the batteries to 24 volts 1000 Ah. A wind turbine was installed. APRS nd telemetry, solar control monitoring, weather station, a remote power control. The 2 camera and link to VE6RYC was not completed due to a 2 hour delay. CARATELS The meeting for Oct.7/15 was held at the Chapelbow Legion at 606-38 Ave. NE. The business portion of the meeting was opened by the Chairman Frank Jones VE6ZQ at 11:00 AM with 10 VE6’s present: XF, KC, CCL, GO, ZQ, MX, DE, AFO, GT and Nick Gardner who is working on his new VE6 replacement call. The minutes of the last meeting as published in the Key Klix were approved by Frank VE6ZQ and seconded by Don VE6XF. The Ragchew net for the next period will be Oct.13, Rob VE6CCL, Oct 22.Tony VE6MX, Oct. 27 Zane VE6ZEE and Nov.3 Frank VE6ZQ. It was nice to see Howard Hepburn present. Howard is looking great gaining his weight back to near normal. Don VE6XF closed the meeting with his usual collection of humour. The usual lunch of soup, sandwiches and coffee was ordered at 11:30 am.. The next meeting will be held on Nov.3/15 at the usual place.
