2014 Fall Harvest Celebration
Games, snacks, prizes, and a lots of laughter can be
found at Cambridge Hills on Thursday, Oct. 16,
6:30–8:30 in the evening. Watch out for the ghosts and
goblins throughout the building! Below is a picture of
Ermand Painter posing with one of them during last
year’s celebration.
Beach Music Festival 2014
Cambridge Hills residents
enjoy dancing, so we hired a DJ
(Donnie Rudder) for our Beach
Music Festival. Everyone enjoyed
refreshments and dancing with
their friends and family. Staff,
volunteers, residents and family
members could be found on the
dance floor that night.
Cambridge Hills Chef Fred Fox joins in on
the fun.

the party.

Joke of the Day!
Valerie Bratton from Bayada Home Health
Care using her auctioneer voice for
Butterbean Auction.
Each resident was given 10
bingo chips with which to bid
on auction items. As Mrs.
Bratton held up an item
residents would bid on the item
they wanted. Everyone had a lot
of fun and the residents took
home some neat prizes!
Her husband had been slipping
in and out of a coma for several
months, yet his faithful wife
stayed by his bedside every single
day. When he came to, he
motioned for her to come nearer.
As she sat by him, he said, “You
know what? You have been with
me all through the bad times.
When I got fired, you were there
to support me. When the business
failed, you were there. When I
got shot, you were by my side.
When we lost the house, you gave
me support. When my health
started failing, you were still by
my side ... You know what?”
“What dear?” she asked
gently.
“I think you’re bad luck.”
Pet Therapy Is Good for
the Elderly
Karen Fylnt brings Princess
out once a month to visit the
residents. Princess is a German
Shepherd dog. When Princess
walks into the building you can
see everyones’ faces just light up
with excitement. We are very
grateful to Karen and Princess
for being a part of the
Cambridge Hills experience.

Dorothy Jennings enjoying Princess.
