October 25th
As part of Brown’s 250th
celebration, they are sponsoring
a full lighting of WaterFire in
downtown Providence. If you’ve
never been, you need to go!
There are 100 bonfires lit
atop the three rivers that run
through the capital city, and it’s
a beautiful sight! Gondolas (like
the one pictured above) float
through the water and volunteers
paddle by on canoes to rekindle
the flames. Plus, there’s always
music, craft tables, and food
vendors to visit as you admire
the city art!
It’s a
non-profit organization!
