Noa and Avigail will serve as a living bridge to the land, culture, and people of Israel (with particular emphasis on the Negev) through the Miami-Yerucham Partnership. Twice a month students will benefit from our visitors’ knowledge of Israeli history, current events, Hebrew language, and holidays and customs. PAPA•razzi patrol Images of Life@LCDS Noa and Avigail were already busy creating a bulletin board to challenge our students’ knowledge of Israel. GNO Girls Night Out for all Lehrman Ladies! Thurs., October 28 at 7:30 pm The ocean blue: first graders chronicled Columbus’ journey to the New World; Heartfelt: third graders illustrated their favorite things; Buried treasure: fourth graders created treasure maps for their Core Knowledge unit on pirates; Walk the walk: LCDS was proudly represented at the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Miami; Before: kindergarteners prepare to bake a classic rainbow cake; After: one can have one’s cake and eat it, too! If you missed Passport to Learning last Thursday, you missed an opportunity to experience LCDS first hand. You also missed receiving your gift! However, you can still pick it up (or have it sent home with your student) by returning the card you received in the mail. Save the Date!
