PROPERS FOR APRIL 10—FIFTH SUNDAY IN LENT (OF)
Introit—Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly nation; from wicked and deceitful men deliver me,
for you are my God and my strength. Send forth your light and your truth; these have led me and brought me to your holy
mountain and to your dwelling place.
Gradual—Rescue me, Lord, from my enemies; teach me to do your will. O Lord, you who save me from the wrath of the
nations, you shall cause me to triumph over my assailants; you will save me from the man of evil.
Tract—Often have they fought against me from my youth. Let Israel now say: Often have they fought against me from my
youth. Yet, they have not prevailed against me: my back has become an anvil for the hammering of sinners. They have long
oppressed me with their iniquities. But the Lord of justice will break the neck of sinners.
Offertory—I will praise you, O Lord, with my whole heart; deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and observe
your word; revive me according to your word, O Lord.
Communion—If a man would serve me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too.
ANNUAL PALM SUNDAY BAKE SALE
The St. Anne Sodality of St. Peter Parish will be offering delicious baked goods
supplied by the talented bakers of the parish on Palm Sunday, April 17th, after the 8,
9:30 and 12:15 Masses. There will be something for everyone! Cookies, cakes, pies,
and many delectable desserts will be sold for the benefit of the parish, to restore a
ciborium.
The St. Anne Sodality will also be sponsoring a raffle of a brand new Webber Grill. Raffle tickets
will be available at the Bake Sale for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
Available will be the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards. This year there will be a special Mass
for mothers on Sunday, May 8th at the 9:30 a.m. Mass and another Mass for fathers on June 19th
at the 12:15 p.m. Mass. We will have special Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
cards available for a suggested donation of $5.00 each and your intention will
be recorded for the appropriate Mass.
Come and join us for free coffee and conversation, and purchase some
homemade goodies for a modest donation. See you at the Bake Sale!
CALLING ALL BAKERS!!!!!
Any baked items for the Palm Sunday
Bake Sale will be greatly appreciated.
Baked goods can be dropped off before
any Mass next Sunday. This is a good
Confirmation service project to either
bake or help at the sale. You don’t need to be a
member of the St. Anne Sodality to donate bakery
items. This year we are asking that you attach 2 copies
of your recipe to your baked goods, one for the
person buying them and one for a possible future
cookbook.
