Hallgeir Sterten, with a PhD from the Norwegian
University of Life Sciences at Ås, now head of
research and development at Appetitt.
Karin Herfindal, laboratory technician
Head of R&D, PhD Nutrition Physiology,
says "good health gives an appetite for life".
This thought lies behind the development of
a premium Norwegian dog food, Appetitt.
"It is not enough by far that the nutritional
content mirrors the dog's nutritional needs
depending on its race, size, stage of life and
level of activity. The nutrients must also have
optimal accessibility in the digestive and
metabolic processes". Unbeatable taste is
important in order for the dog to eat its allotted
daily ration and be fed the nutrients it needs.
The raw materials are of premium quality,
with strict focus on the nutrients' digestibility.
Norwegian marine raw materials, with a natural
high content of glucosamine and chondroitin
are used to prevent bone- and joint disorders.
MacroGard is used to stimulate the immune
system that is important to the dog's health.
Appetitt contains the right fructo-oligosaccharides
(FOS) in the quantity most beneficiary to the
digestive micro flora, securing good utilization
of the food.
The choice of raw materials is based on scientific
tests and studies. The raw material quality
control is subject to the Food Safety Authority
in addition to our own high standards.

Norwegian salmon fat, produce the
