Ho sempre pensato che la trama impressa sul tofu dal cotone che lo avvolge
sia calda e bellissima. Ho anche immaginato che l’applicazione di un tessuto
ad un supporto duro come la ceramica ammorbidisse l’aspetto rigido e freddo
del materiale. Volevo qualcosa di così finemente tramato come se un tessuto
bagnato rimanesse attaccato alla superficie.
I have always thought that the texture of Japanese cottoned Tofu is warm and beautiful.
I also imagined that applying a fabric texture onto hard mediums like ceramics softens
its hard and cold feeling of the material. I wanted something that is so finely textured
that it looks as if a wet fabric is attached to a surface.

INFORMAZIONI_INFORMATION
È nato nel 1956. Oltre a lavorare presso uno studio di consulenza, si è occupato di progettazione nel suo Paese, in Europa
e in altre zone dell’Asia. La sua esperienza come progettista è varia ed estesa, va dall’elettronica all’arredamento ed è
affermata in tutto il mondo. Continua a presentare i suoi workshop “Without Thought”, fedele all’idea personale secondo
la quale i ricordi e le azioni inconsapevoli delle persone sarebbero gli elementi ispiratori della progettazione. Nel 2006 ha
fondato “Super Normal” con Jasper Morrison. Nel 2007 gli è stato conferito il titolo di “Honorable Royal Designer for
Industry“ (Royal Society of Arts). Nel 2009 ha presentato una mostra insieme al fotografo Tamotsu Fujii intitolata “THE
OUTLINE – The Unseen Outline of Things”, presso 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, e ha pubblicato un libro con lo stesso
titolo (Hachette Fujingaho). È inoltre autore di An Outline of Design (TOTO Shuppan), del catalogo delle sue opere
NAOTO FUKASAWA (Phaidon) ed è coautore di Super Normal (Lars Müller Publishers) insieme a Jasper Morrison.
Born in 1956. Has worked in a consulting capacity as well as designed both domestically, in Europe and other parts of Asia. His design
experience is both diverse and widespread, ranging from electronics to furniture, and is recognized on a global scale. He continues to hold
the “Without Thought” workshops under his own personal idea regarding people’s unconscious memories and actions leading the way to
design. In 2006, he founded “Super Normal” with Jasper Morrison. In 2007, he was accorded the title of Honorable Royal Designer for
Industry (Royal Society of Arts). In 2009, he held an exhibition with photographer Tamotsu Fujii entitled “THE OUTLINE – The
Unseen Outline of Things” at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT, and published a book of the same title (Hachette Fujingaho). He has also
authored An Outline of Design (TOTO Shuppan), the compilation of his works NAOTO FUKASAWA (Phaidon) and co-authored
Super Normal (Lars Müller Publishers) with Jasper Morrison.

Il lavaggio dopo la posa è un una fase di fondamentale importanza
per tutti gli interventi successivi e per la manutenzione.
Per questa operazione si suggerisce l’utilizzo di Deterdek della
Fila, detergente disincrostante acido che non sviluppa fumi nocivi
e non aggredisce le fughe.
• Utilizzare Fila Deterdek diluito 1:5 (1 litro di Detredek in 5 di
acqua possibilmente calda)
• Spazzare bene il pavimento quindi distribuire uniformemente
la soluzione di DETERDEK diluito, utilizzando un normale
spazzettone, mop-lavapavimenti (mocio) o uno straccio ruvido
per ambienti residenziali oppure frizionando con monospazzola
dotata di dischi con tampone di colore verde per grandi superfici;
• Lasciare agire per qualche minuto, in funzione dell’intensità
dello sporco;
• Intervenire energicamente con spugna abrasiva tipo verde
oppure con spazzolone con setole in nylon o nel caso di grandi
superfici con monospazzola munita di disco verde e aspira liquidi.
• Raccogliere il residuo con stracci oppure con aspiraliquidi.
Resa: 1 litro/40 m2 – diluizione 1:5
Cleaning after installation is of fundamental importance for all
subsequent procedures and for care operations.
For this operation we recommend Deterdek by FILA, the acid
descaler that does not generate harmful fumes.
• Use Fila Deterdek diluted 1:5 (1 litre of Deterdek in 5 of water,
hot if possible)
• Brush the floor thoroughly then spread the diluted DETERDEK
solution evenly using an ordinary sponge brush, a mop, or a rough
cloth for residential buildings, or a single-disc professional cleaner with
green pad disc for large areas;
• Leave to act for a few minutes, depending on the degree of dirt;
• Scrub briskly with a rough (green-type) abrasive sponge or a
nylon-bristle brush, or in the case of large areas, with a single-disc
professional cleaner fitted with green disc, and vacuum drier.
• Remove the residue with rags or a vacuum drier.
