2014 SCOA Auction
WHY is the annual SCOA Auction important? The purpose is to raise funds to help cover costs
for the Specialty week – to provide us with a great venue, to pay for fields and birds used in the
hunt tests, cover judges costs, trophies, welcome packets, to pay presenters in order to keep
the membership informed about issues affecting our breed, etc. etc. Without the auction, and
YOUR DONATIONS, the Specialty week would not be possible! So… consider donating
13
something to be auctioned! It can be anything – something you made, something you bought,
dog related or people related – something that stands out to YOU that you think another
participant might bid on! State or themed baskets are popular, as well as individual items.
This year there will be both a silent and a live auction, scheduled for May 29, 2014. The live
auction is always a highlight of the week, with good natured bidding wars and banter between
competing participants. Please consider donating an item or two to put your own special
touch on the auctions, and help SCOA defray the cost of the Specialty week!
To donate:

Send auction items to :
The Ranch Events Complex

5280 Arena Circle Suite 100

Loveland, CO 20538; (items should arrive no
more than a week prior to our event)

or to:
Susie Pool, 11448 Roxbury Ave., Littleton, CO 80127
Or bring them with you, but please let Susie or Sue McGregor know what you will be bringing
so we can plan accordingly. Questions? Please contact Sue McGregor ([email protected])
or Susie Pool ([email protected]) . Thank you for supporting SCOA and the Specialty
week!
2014 SCOA Rescue Auction
Once again Spinone Rescue of America will be accepting donations for the
National Specialty auction. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and your
generosity allows us to help the less fortunate in our breed by providing
transport, medical care and rehabilitation. If you would like to donate an item
please contact Patti Johnson,[email protected] for specific
instructions on shipping and labeling your items for rescue. Please remember
that Spinone Rescue of America is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization and your
donation is tax deductible. Thank you in advance for your continued support of
Spinone Rescue.

GROOMING SPACE:
The temperatures in Colorado in May can be very warm. Accordingly, the show ring
and all grooming spaces will be located in one temperature-controlled building. The
building will be made available to exhibitors on Tuesday May 27 th at 7:00am. Day
crating will be available during show hours which will be posted at the grooming
site on the day. All crates in Day crating must be removed from the building at the
end of each day.
It is recommended that grooming space(s) be reserved. There will be two sizes of
spaces available: 6x8 ft (1 to 2 dogs) and 8x8 ft (3 or more dogs). Each household
will be allowed one free space; the size will be based on the number of dogs as noted
above. Additional spaces may be purchased for $10 per space. All exhibitors are
encouraged to reserve their spaces early, and to reserve only what is needed, in
order to assist with layout planning and to ensure that space will be available for
everyone. If a shortage of space occurs, the number of paid additional spaces
available may be limited. Exhibitors who wish to reserve spaces together need to
send their reservations together in one envelope.
Electricity will be available at drying stations only. A bathing station will be located
outdoors. There will be no outdoor grooming set-ups allowed on the grass or the
parking lot. Only paid RV spaces will be allowed grooming outdoors.
A grooming chart with labeled assigned grooming spaces will be clearly posted.
Spaces may not be swapped unless agreed upon by all parties. All exhibitors will be
held responsible for the cleanliness of their grooming spaces and for picking up
after their dogs.
