Of the many ways you can express who you are, perfume is one that is arguably the most personal.
Your fragrance does outwardly reflect who you are as a person, but more importantly it affects
your own sense of self and the energy that you project to the world. It is a form of beauty with
which we surround ourselves, a way to feel and appreciate beauty everywhere we go.
With a custom perfume, you now have the ability to express your inner self in a way that was
never possible before.

Fully Custom Made
Our perfumes are custom built from ground up, meaning that we do not rely on preformulated
bases or blends.
Genuine Botanical
Essences
We use only pure botanical extracts in our items, so
when we put orange blossom into your blend, know
that it is the actual extract of orange blossoms.
Exclusive
We reserve your formula only for your personal use.
It will forever be your perfume and no one but you
will be able to order more to be made.
Your Style
Prefer an eau de parfum or an extrait? We will tailor the strength to your preference. Choose
whether you’d like a sprayable alcohol base or the silky feel of an oil perfume. Either can be dabbed
from an open top bottle or dauber topped bottle. Alcoholic fragrances can also be used in a lovely
vintage style atomizer.

Perhaps the biggest perk of all, you will have the ability to order custom bath & beauty products
in your signature scent! I can incorporate your scent into a wide range of products including:

Creating Your Perfume
Getting to Know You
We’ll begin with a phone consultation. I will answer any questions you may have so you can be sure
that my custom natural perfumery is a good fit for you. We’ll talk about you, what you enjoy, and
where you are in your life so that I can begin to get a understanding of your personality and goals.
We’ll then schedule your blending session.
Blending Session
Here’s where the magic begins! We meet in person to evaluate fragrance ingredients and find the
ones that you respond to the most. I guide you through selecting a range of notes to form a wellrounded fragrance. We get to play with the many oils in my collection including many rare and
expensive aromatics. I can lead the way with blending essences, or if you like, you are welcome to
pick up a dropper and experiment with blends as well!
Aging and Creating Variants
After the session, I take home the notes and blends that we have created together and work on
further rounding out the fragrance blends. I create several variations of our top selections and set
them aside to age. After allowing the blends to age for a time, I evaluate them and make adjustments to hone the balance of the aromatics.
After the blends have aged for another period, I meet with you a second time or mail the samples to
you so that you can evaluate them at your own pace.
Finalizing your Fragrance
You then evaluate the samples and choose your favorite or ask for an additional adjustment to the
formula. Once you decide which candidate is our winner, I use that formula and blend a full batch.
You choose your favorite style bottles, and I bottle your fragrance and deliver your newly minted
signature perfume!
What to bring to your Blending Session
Just come with yourself and an open mind! Be sure you do not wear ANY fragrance to your
blending session. We easily become anosmic—“nose blind”—to all kinds of fragrances that
we encounter in everyday life. Fragrances are in bath and body products, hair products, and
laundry products. It is best to stop wearing any type of fragrance for 48 hours prior so that
your nose is clean and ready for scent evaulation.
You are welcome to bring examples of scents
that you do enjoy, in order to help explain
your personal tastes. We will use them to help
find the notes that speak to you most, and we
will then base your scent around the essences
that make your face light up with joy.
Please don’t bring a perfume you love hoping
we can mimic it, as I do not duplicate fragrances. It is often not possible to duplicate
fragrance using only naturals only because of
the differences in mynthetic and natural ingredients. Secondly, we want to create something
unique and that is truly personal to you.
Many modern perfumery notes are synthetic,
even ones that might sound like they would be
botanical. For example lilac, lily of the valley,
violet, gardenia and honeysuckle are all popular florals, but they all must be approximated
through blends and synthetics because the essences aren’t able to be successfully extracted from
the flowers.
If you have a particular favorite scent that isn’t available, I will guide you through my library of
ingredients to find similar scents. You may find an amazing scent you like even better! If you
still have your heart set on a particular elusive scent, we will create test blend combinations to
try to capture the essence of the scent you desire.
Pricing
Bespoke, or custom, perfumery is rare and highly exclusive practice. Perfumers who offer this
service generally have waiting lists over a year long, even as they charge upwards of $10,000.
A perfumer in a major house is said to offer bespoke services starting at $75,000, and even then her
clients only have a five-year exclusivity on the resulting fragrance.
My custom perfumery is currently set at $1000 for spring and summer 2015. I want to make
custom perfume accessible to more people, but this pricing may go up in the future to fit demand.
Booking early is the best way to secure current pricing and to secure an early timeslot.
