Fire Size: 12,523 hectares (estimated)
Status: Lightning-caused, 100 per cent contained
Resources: Over 25 personnel and 1 helicopters
Yesterday’s Progress: Crews worked to secure
containment in the north and mop-up 100 feet in

Pemberton Zone. Firefighters will continue to remain on site, patrolling and monitoring for any
hotspots.
Area Restriction Order: The Area Restriction Order has been amended as of August 5, 2015. The
Squamish Forest Service Road is closed at the 27 km mark. The risk of falling trees and rolling debris
continues to be a concern for fire officials. Even though the fire is now 100 per cent contained, the
Area Restriction Order will remain in place for the safety of the public.
