ADULT AQUATICS
Adults looking to challenge themselves without stress on their
joints or members who just enjoy the water can take advantage of
our different water exercise classes. Instructors lead small groups
through water aerobics, core strengthening and much more. Ideal
for all fitness levels, non-swimmers included.
CLIMB THE WALL
TWINGES FOR THE HINGES
This water workout exercises the joints while toning muscles
throughout the entire body. Includes walking, resistance work,
coordination drills and wall exercises. Great for non-swimmers!

ARTHRITIS
Designed for anyone having arthritis or interested in easing back
into an exercise program. Water supports 90% of total body
weight, which reduces stress on muscles and joints. Non swimmers
welcome!

HYDRO-FIT
Aqua aerobics class designed to promote cardio fitness. Includes

supervised environment for FREE. The four courses range
from beginner to advanced.

fees regardless of membership privileges.
Daily reservations may be made as often as there is court space
The Y reserves the right to release the court to other players if
you are 10 minutes late

Instruction and practices are offered at beginner, intermediate and
advanced levels.

• Return your weights to the weight rack when you are finished
• Closed-toe shoes must be worn AT ALL TIMES while in the
Wellness Center.

• Children must be 14 years of age to be in the Wellness Area,
unless registered for certain programs
• Please wear proper and conservative attire while exercising.

Get fit together! Experience the incredible energy that only group
classes can give you. Instructors lead you through the workouts
providing you effective, fun and easy-to-follow steps. We offer a
variety of classes at our Y.
BELLYFIT
Created by Alice Bracegridle of Victoria Canada, Bellyfit is now
making its way across North America and Europe. We have
the only Bellyfit instructor in NEPA! The easy to follow cardio
portion of Bellyfit infuses elements of Belly Dance, African Dance,
Bollywood and Bhangra. The core is strengthened by applying
Pilates principles throughout the entire class which is concluded
with Yoga inspired self reflection. The objective of the creators of
Bellyfit is to empower women and girls through movement, music,
community and culture.
INDIVIDUAL
Motivation and accountability are at the core of personal training.
Certified trainers are instructors who stand beside you at every
physical challenge, encouraging you to try your hardest and
keeping you on track. Through personal attention and expert
advice, a trainer designs a progressive plan to help you achieve
maximum results and avoid injury.
MOVEMENT FOR BETTER BALANCE
This is a new, evidence based program developed by YMCA of the
USA to help prevent falls through the practice of eight forms of
movement derived from Yang Style Tai Chi. The movement is slow,
precise and gentle. A chair can be used for balance if necessary.

YOGA
Yoga is an ancient mind-body movement form and philosophy that
has been practiced for over 5,000 years. Our class will concentrate
on physical poses, stretching, meditation, breathing and relaxation.
Terry Shortway will lead the class in the safest, most effective
methods in order to maximize the benefits while minimizing the
risks.

HI LO AERO
Includes intermediate to advanced choreography set to popular
music. The modifiable cardio workout is supplemented with
challenging abdominal work.
ENERGIZE
Stay strong and independent with simple choreographed cardio
routines, strength training, conditioning, flexibility and relaxation
work.
HALF -N- HALF
Get a well-rounded workout with 30 min. of cardio and 30 min.
of safe, effective strength training using a variety of methods.
AB SOLUTION
A quick, intense answer to strengthening weak abs and lower
back muscles.
POWER STRETCH
Increase your flexibility and strength while quieting your mind and
supporting your spirit in this forty-five minute class offered every
other Saturday morning.

min. of strength training. Stay inspired with by our motivating
instructor and music!
CYCLE
This class is appropriate for all levels and all ages because YOU
control YOUR intensity. Instructors will lead you on a cycling
journey, you control how intense your workout is.

Your favorite cycle class with an added strength workout!
STABILITY BALL TRAINING
This is a core strengthening class utilizing stability balls to get a
safe, challenging workout.

ZUMBA
Features sizzling moves to high-energy Latin and international
beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their
energy levels are soaring! It’s a party!
PILOXING
Uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a fat torching,
muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, using a class
format that’s both fun and challenging.

ADULT CO-ED VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE
Play the game of volleyball and have fun and stay active.
Starting in mid January, maatches will be played on Sunday evenings between 5p.m. and 9p.m. League will run approxiamately
twelve weeks. Cost per team is $350.00 and must be paid in full
by February 16, 2014. Each team must have at least one male
on the court at all times and a minimum of 4 players is needed

LESMILLS RPM
This adrenalin filled, calorie burning cycle class is done to powerful
music and lead by a LesMills certified instructor. ARE YOU READY?
R.I.P.P.E.D.(new class)
This total body, high intensity workout utilizes free weights,
resistance and body weight in the components of a constantly
changing format. Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics,
Endurance, and Diet are the elements that provide the basis of this
“Plateau Proof” program.
