VA. Tidewater was contracted by the Galveston District, USACE to construct drainage ditches within the three impoundments of the Pelican Island Placement Area. These three impoundments receive dredge spoils (sand, clay, water) from the dredging of the Intracoastal Shipping Channel around Pelican Island, Galveston, Texas. The impoundments are interconnected to allow the dewatering of the dredge spoils with the water eventually being discharged from a single outfall. Using a dragline operation, 45,000 LF of ditching was constructed around the perimeter of the impoundments. A marsh buggy with a long-boom bucket was used to construct 17,000 LF of lateral ditching. Material from the ditches was placed on the interior slope of the perimeter levees around the impoundments. MULTIPLE AWARD TASK ORDER CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS BUFFALO DISTRICT Under this five (5) year $25 million MATOC contract, Tidewater has delivered civil construction, demolition, infrastructure and building renovation projects: Communication Tower Deconstruction, Mt Morris Dam, NY:Tidewater was tasked with the removal of a 140-footcommunication tower and associated hardware including, guy wires, and guy wire anchoring systems. Tidewater was commended by the USACE on the safe execution of this project. Border Patrol Facility Renovations: Tidewater has been tasked with facility renovations at various Border Patrol Facilities along the Canadian Border. Projects include roof repairs at the Federal Detention Center in Batavia, NY and historic building renovations at the BPS in Wellesley Island, NY. West Pier Rehabilitation, Rochester, NY: Tidewater repaired the west pier structure at the Rochester Harbor in New York, which involved the demolition and removal of a 6inch layer of deteriorated concrete, and placement of a new concrete layer in various sections of the 3500 ft long pier. Chicago Lock Repair Work, Chicago, IL: The project site was located in the Chicago Harbor at the USACE lock facility on the Chicago River downtown. The work utilized industrial divers to make underwater repairs to the sills of the newly installed locks at the facility. Cleveland Reservation Building 3 Rehabilitation: The project involved the rehabilitation of two facilities (Building 3 and 4) at the USACE Cleveland Reservation. The rehabilitation involved asbestos abatement, selective demolition, new siding and insulation, installation of new windows and doors, and security system improvements. SINGLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION TASK ORDER CONTRACT, JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, TX The Fort Worth District, US Army Corps of Engineers awarded a 3-year, $4.5M Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) IDIQ contract for Construction services for installation support primarily for Army Facilities at the Joint Base San Antonio/Fort Sam Houston, Camp Bullis, and Other Facilities in the San Antonio, Texas. The Contract is intended for multi-tasking of construction services with material provisions and fixed labor rates for a wide variety of new construction, maintenance, repair, alteration and minor construction type tasks, including asbestos and lead based paint abatement for both military and civil projects. To date, Tidewater has completed two task orders totaling over $2.9 million for IT Outside Plant Installation, Historic Long Barracks Facility and a Joint Base Headquarters Pavilion at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with 5 additional task orders currently being executed. DESIGN-TO-BUILD CONTRACTS U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS IN LITTLE ROCK, FORT WORTH DISTRICT, AND FORT SAM DISTRICT With the outstanding efforts of Tidewater’s San Antonio office, numerous design-to-build contracts have been awarded throughout the Southern U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Kirtland Medical Clinic, Kirtland AFB, NM: Awarded a $16.9M contract that will realign departments to match the mission of the 377th Medical Group (MDG) to provide world-class healthcare, using the best clinical and business practices. Barksdale Dental Clinic, Barksdale AFB, LA: A $7.7M contract to provide functional improvements, substantial upgrades and more space for improving and expanding operations for the existing dental clinic. The contract will include a 1,800 square feet addition to the existing building, installing a new HVAC system, ADA building standard upgrades, and a new interior layout. Jimmy Brought Fitness Center Expansion, Fort Sam Houston, TX: US Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $549.3K contract to convert three existing racquetball courts to a new weight and fitness room. Renovations were completed to provide an updated fitness area with substantial storage areas and restored functionality of the two remaining racquetball courts. Renovation of Building 607A, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX: Historical building renovation awarded for $2.3M. Built in 1885, the historic building falls under the National Register of Historic Places preserve requirements. The building was to be restored to reflect the historic characteristics of the property, at the same time, being the office space for administrative and training personnel.
