EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE! THE FOLLOWING PERTAINS TO ALL EVENTS!
LIABILITY: It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/
or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage
in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Show Committee, be asked to leave the show
site. In such cases, no refund of any fees paid will be made.
Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way (for example: left unattended on a grooming table
in a noose not attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) will be removed to
safety. Exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way is considered mistreatment.
No Alcoholic Beverages are allowed in the building.

RINGSIDE: Dogs may arrive at any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Judges will not wait for any
dog. Owners and agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs at ringside when their class is
called. The club, judges, stewards and secretary have no obligation or responsibility to announce for or locate
dogs that are not at ringside when required.

Entries must be received by 6 pm CDT Wednesday October 5, after which time no entries may
be accepted, cancelled, altered, or substituted. No telephone or verbal entries will be accepted.
All changes and cancellations must be received in writing (email is acceptable) prior to closing,
except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows published
by the American Kennel Club.

All entries must be on official AKC entry forms. Entries will be returned if they are illegible, incomplete, are submitted with incorrect fees, or are photocopied without the reverse side instructions
and agreement included. Checks returned for insufficient fees will invalidate the entry; acceptance of such an entry will only be made if the full fees, plus a $25 administrative fee, are paid
via certified check, cash, or money order & received by armband pickup. Express or Certified
deliveries must include signature waiver permitting them to be left at the Secretary’s address
without receipt signature. Entries received without signature release will be refused.
Directions to Veterinarian’s Office from show site
Refunds: Entry fees will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the
published closing date; in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the veterinarian
or judge, or barred from competition by the Show Committee; or in the event that extreme weather
conditions,civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the Show Committee make it
impossible to open or complete the show/trial. Bitches in season are not allowed to participate
in agility, obedience or rally. Entry fees will be refunded for bitches who come into season after
closing, less $10 per entry, if notice is given to the trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the
start of judging.
Fax/email entries: Entries may be faxed to the Show/Trial Secretary at 206-222-2830, or emailed
to [email protected]. Both sides of each entry form must be included, completely filled
out and signed, or the entry will not be accepted. Payment can be made via PayPal or credit card
by going to www.caper-dogs.com and clicking on the PayPal/Credit Card link. Payment must
include the $1.50 per class additional charge to be valid.
Entry Acknowledgements: To ensure the receipt of your entries, it is suggested that you include
a valid email address which you regularly check on your entry form, as that will allow the Secretary to send an email receipt of entry. If you do not have email, send a self-addressed, stamped
postcard or envelope with your entry, which the Secretary will return upon entry receipt. Judging
programs and entry confirmations will be emailed to each exhibitor as soon as possible after the
closing date. If the confirmation is to be sent to a person other than the dog’s owner, please include
with the entry the name and address or email address to which it is to be sent.
Exhibitors are responsible for the correctness of entries. Any errors will be corrected prior
to closing; exhibitor errors discovered after closing cannot be corrected. Overpayments
of less than $5 will not be refunded.
Moveups to Best of Breed or higher Obedience/Rallyclasses: Dogs which, according to their
owner’s records, have completed the requirements for a title or class after the closing of entries
for this show may be transferred to the higher class, as long as the transfer request is made to
and accepted by the Show Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of any regular judging
for the day.

The management will exercise every precaution for the safety of dogs and exhibitors, however,
the Norwegian Elkhound Association of Minnesota, Inc., its members and agents, and Animal Inn
Show Center, Inc. will not be liable for any disappearance, loss, theft ,injury or any other damage
caused by or to any dog, person or property from any cause. It is distinctly understood that every
dog is in the care, custody and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on
the show premesis.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their
dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases,
and have appropriate vaccinations.
Proof of a Rabies Vaccination must be in the possession of exhibitors or handlers
for all dogs at these events.

Fee is $28.00 unless entered as an additional class in which the fee is $22.
Brace
For two dogs of identical ownership. Must be entered in the regular classes.
Fee is $22 per brace as an additional class.
Please Note: Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes will only be offered on Saturday
Indicate the Sweepstakes class, with the age division, on the entry form in the “Additional Classes” box. .
Entries shall be made at the same time and on the same form as he Regular Classes.Sweepstakes are
divided by sex and are judged prior to the regular Conformation classes. The entry fee is $22.00.

Puppy Sweepstakes is open to all Norwegian Elkhounds who are at least 6 months of age and less than
18 months of age on the day of the sweepstakes and who are not Champions of Records as of the closing
date. All entrants must be entered in a regular conformation class at the show..

Novice class: For junior handlers aged 9-17 who, at the time entries close, have not won three first place
awards, with competition present, in a Junior Showmanship Novice class at a licensed or member show. The
Novice class is divided (ages as of the day of the show):

Novice Intermediate - 12 years and under 15 years
Novice Senior - 15 years and under 18 years
Open class: For junior handlers aged 9-17 who, at the time entries close, have won three first place awards,
with competition present, in a Junior Showmanship Novice class at a licensed or member show. The Open
class is divided (ages as of the day of the show):
Open Junior - 9 years and under 12 years
Open Intermediate - 12 years and under 15 years
Open Senior - 15 years and under 18 years
Master class: For junior handlers aged 9-17 who, at the time entries close, have won the 10 first place wins
in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this
class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are
required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already
closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to
complete for the following year.
PLEASE NOTE: Juniors must include their AKC Junior Handler number on the entry blank. Be sure all information for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on the front and back of the entry form.
Dogs shown in Junior Showmanship may have Full or Limited AKC registration or have an ILP/PAL number.
Altered animals are eligible to be shown, but bitches in season are not eligible.

the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered
is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have
the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers,
agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event
and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or
injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises
or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold
the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for
and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the
liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom,
sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our)
participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may
be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other person. I (we) agree
that the determination of whether the injury is serious shall be made by the event veterinarian and is binding on me (us). I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY
CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT
BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THIS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR
AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO
THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICABLE AKC
BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS,

INSTRUCTIONS
1.(Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over
13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers
(colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King
Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2.The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of
Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited
to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3.(Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided,
then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog,
i.e, age division, color division, weight division.

4.A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which
entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate
indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to
