The beliefs that you hold about yourself as a high school student are now going to be replaced with bePrincipal Jill Warren liefs about yourself as a college student, an employee, a military trainee, or a trade school apprentice. What are those new beliefs going to consist of? What positive beliefs and what negative beliefs will you embrace as you take on this new role? It is imperative to pay attention to what you believe about yourself because it is going to create your life experience. You will accomplish or not accomplish things, depending upon what you believe about your ability to do so. Be aware of your beliefs and work on changing the ones that are not serving you. No one else can do that for you. Research and common sense tell us that a positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success in life. The beliefs you hold about yourself will determine the outcome and impact those ups, downs, and roadblocks have on your life. Rise above the misfortunes and remember who you are, what you stand for, what you believe, what you want to accomplish. And, always choose to do the right thing. You are an amazing group of individuals--full of talent, enthusiasm, compassion, intelligence, athleticism, creativity, integrity, honor, pride, courage, and joy. Remember who you are. The mind is the most powerful part of the human body. Watch your “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. Volume 1, Issue 1 Upcoming Events 2014 Marching Rockets Field Show Announced! With the end of the school year comes the beginning of a new marching season for the Marching Rockets. In keeping with the tradition of exciting, artistic, and competitive marching shows, next year’s show is sure to impress audiences. The 2014 Marching Rockets field show is titled “World Machine” and will feature music from Antonin Dvorak’s 9th Symphony titled “The New World Symphony”. The show is once again being composed for Limestone by Ted Reicher. The show will depict a Rube Goldberg machine on the field with a visual program of “chain reactions” that lead up to a final event at the end of the show. We are very excited to begin the learning process. To listen to a sound clip of the Marching Rockets 2014 program, please visit our website at www.limestonebands.com.
