August has been dedicated by the state of Arkansas as Volunteer Recognition Month. With that in mind, sharing information about the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador Program is my privilege. The success of the local special events, membership involvement, day to day activities, and tourist recruitment rests heavily on volunteer dedication. The Ambassador Program was first organized in 2004 with Bentley Stracener and Etta Turner taking the leadership roles. Wow! What a great job they did to kick off a program of an ever-growing & diverse group. This group of goodwill representatives brings to the table limitless talents, experiences, energy and positive attitudes to further the causes in our community. We invite YOU to join us as an Ambassador! How to be involved and the amount of involvement is your choice. The opportunities are limitless: clerical, phone, meet and greet, market, decorating, event involvement, ribbon cuttings, and countless functions and events. Recognition of our family of volunteers is of utmost importance. Ambassador badges, volunteer luncheon, event t-shirts, newsletter spotlight and always a sincere and heart-felt appreciation from the heart of the chamber staff is shared with these wonderful volunteers. Give Ina Brown, Volunteer Coordinator, a call or come by any Monday or Wednesday to learn more about this program. 501-362-2444 or 501-2506142: [email protected]. Best Wishes, Grace!
