Doing the work of evangelism can – at times, be a daunting task. So why do we do it? God’s Word – the Bible, and our love for one another, because we love God. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus gave four, distinct commands: Go, Make Disciples, Baptize, and Teach. There are so many ways to do evangelism, but one of the easiest to do, is to let your life speak for you: be the example. As you follow Jesus, and people see what you say and do throughout the ups and downs of life, someone will want to know how they can have the joy and peace that you have, which opens the door for you to further share your faith. Doing the work of evangelism shows God’s love. Dare to be a Disciple of Jesus! John 13:35 says, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” ~The Evangelism Ministry TAKE THE CHALLENGE! Six months remain in our challenge for each of us to lead one person to Christ by August 2014. If you have lead someone to Christ since August 2013, the Evangelism Ministry wants to share your story! Include your name, your phone number, your church affiliation, the date you lead this person to Christ, their age and indicate whether male or female. You can also provide your information by phone to Sis. Rebecca Fitzgerald, by calling 215-479-4287. PAUL’S BAPTIST CHURCH Page 8 February 9, 2014 Fifth Sunday after Epiphany Psalm 112:1-9 Isaiah 58:1-9Aa 1 Corinthians 2:1-12 Matthew 5:13-20 Good morning St. Paulians and God bless you all. This is a beautiful morning our Father is giving us. Let us be glad and rejoice in it. Please get right with God and do it now tomorrow may be too late. Ask the Savior to help you, He will gladly show you how. Come to that fountain so rich and free, cast your sins at Jesus’ feet, and be saved to sin no more. Dear dying lamb, thy precious blood never lose its power tell all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more. Dear St. Paulians and Friends, Have you found that fountain filled with blood? Do you believe Jesus died for your sins? Do you believe that Jesus is coming back to take His children home? Jesus is calling, calling today, asking his children to turn from their wicked ways and follow Him. John 14:1 – Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Matthew 4:19 – and he saith unto them follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Jesus is still calling today and for ever more. “Follow me!” He gave us the sermon on the mount and the beatitudes, telling us to rejoice and be glad for great is our reward in heaven. Matthew 5:12 – Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. We the children of God need to fall down on our knees and pray, “Crying Lord have mercy on us, a sinner, for Jesus sake.” We have all sinned and have come short of your glory. We need to pray until the answer comes. America, this whole wide world need to and must come back to God. God is the answer. Our Heavenly Father is only asking a very little of us all. “Trust and obey!” 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place. 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3-4 Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! We love you Dear Father. Amen Amen Amen Members from the Prayer Ministries will be available Sunday mornings after worship service in the Prayer Chapel for anyone who desires prayer for self or others.
