Bolzano, between the vineyards and the Dolomites
Known as the “Door to the Dolomites” and by now associated with the famous
image of the bell tower standing against the Rosengarten group, Bolzano is a
lively and friendly town.
Bolzano’s geographical location is ideal, with the Dolomites right at its
doorstep, at the confluence of the rivers Talvera and Isarco, joined, just a
kilometre or two downstream, by the river Adige. This valley is sheltered from
the winds and exposed to the sun most days of the year.

SARENTINO
Just 16 km to the north of Bolzano the deep, wild and romantic gorge leading
into the Val Sarentino/Sarntal opens to reveal a lush landscape of forests,
