Wine tasting and Cellar tours
When entering the gates of Blaauwklippen our ancient wild fig trees are what capture your eye, leading you to our
welcoming Tasting Room where we invite you to familiarise yourself with Blaauwklippen’s contribution to the world
of wine. It is here where we have not only been creating a steadfast bond between our guests and our wines, but
also been allowing our guests to learn more about our long standing history and traditions.
The Blaauwklippen wine experience not only educates your palate in wine tasting, but also allows you in to increase your
knowledge in distinguishing the various elements in enjoying wine. Guests are encouraged to smell the different herbs
and spices that are characteristics of our wines’ aromas, optimizing your wine tasting experience.
Our Tasting Room offers you:
Cellar Tours and Formal Wine Tasting of 5 wines at R 60 per person, where tours and tastings could be
conducted in English, Afrikaans or German. The Wine Centre can accommodate 40 to 80 guests at a time.
Minimum 10 guests.
Formal Wine Tasting of 5 wines at R 40 per person. Our skilled advisors will guide you through your tasting
and formal wine tastings may be conducted in English, Afrikaans or German.
Chocolate-and-Wine-Pairing this is an exclusively designed Artisan chocolates paired with
1 x white wine, 1 x red wine, 1 x aperitif, 1 x noble late harvest and 1 x brandy
R 90 per person – pre-booking required. Maximum 40 pax per group bookings.
Informal Barrel station tasting: of 5 wines at R55 per person (R75 per person after hours). We place 5
stands on the lawns, each with their own wine advisor. Guests will be able to wander at leisure between
stations and enjoy the wines on offer. Minimum 45 guests – no maximum number.
Food and wine pairing: come and enjoy a wine tasting with beautiful prepared canapés to go with the
wines (seasonal menus will apply) – R 165.00 per person

Cellar Tour: A guided tour of our cellar and historical information.
Please book 24 hours in advance – R 20.00 per person
Exclusive Wine tasting with one of our Winemakers at R180 per person. Enjoy a tour and tasting behind the
scenes through the cellar to experience and understand the process of winemaking from our winemaker.
Minimum 10 guests – maximum 25 guests – Harvest dependent.
Blaauwklippen Wine Blending: we allow you to become your own wine maker at R 200 per person
(excluding bottle of wine) and R 300 per person (including personalised bottle of Blaauwklippen wine). One
of our experienced wine advisors will lead your group in a tasting of 3 Blaauwklippen wines. After the wine
tasting we challenge you to create your own blend and a qualified member of our team will be on hand to
taste the blends produced and select the winner. Through this experience team spirit and staff motivation
will be strengthened and it will help you to rediscover the winning recipe when the going gets tough. A 10%
non-refundable deposit is required. To avoid disappointment we do encourage you to book well in advance.
