A busy and growing marina
With a 4-meter draft and 1088 berths, the Port of Palavasles-Flots can accommodate all kinds of boats. The marina is
especially clean, it got the European Union’s Blue Flag Marina
eco label and the French “Clean Port” commendation.”
These commendations recognize the efforts deployed to
safeguard the environment.
A river port and an RV welcome area
The facilities at the river port can accommodate 25 barges
and 140 recreational vehicles. The master of the port offers
vacationers all the amenities they need: restrooms, showers,
washtubs, dishwashing area and power. The welcome is very
friendly.

Der Hafen von Palavas-les-Flots verfügt über eine Tauchtiefe von 4
Metern und ist mit 1088 Plätzen ausgestattet. Zudem verfügt er über
Standplätze, die für jeden Bootstyp ideal sind. Der Jachthafen ist von
beispielhafter Sauberkeit, sodass er mit der Auszeichnung der „blauen

Between the church and the garden there is a fountain, fed by the Joan of
Arc spring. Adjacent to the church, Saint Pierre Garden is a refreshing stop
between the old village and the Mediterranean Lighthouse: waterscape,
Japanese bridge, pavilion, and Mediterranean plants.

Train Museum
Located adjacent to the Redoubt, the Train
Museum takes you back to the days when
the railroad connected Palavas-les-Flots to
Montpellier (1872-1968). There is an old
steam locomotive with a passenger car,
fully restored, and drawings of trains by
Dubout.
A little train to take a ride:
A tourist train will show you the charm
of an authentic fishing village: a relaxed,
fun-filled ride.

Museum
The illustrator-humorist Albert Dubout
made sketches of life in Palavas-lesFlots, where he lived. His drawings have
immortalized scenes of daily life in the
south of France and its culture: vacations,
steam locomotives, transportation,
sports and society.
Built in 1743 to defend the coastline,
the Ballestras Redoubt facilitated the
creation of the fishing village, which
it protected. Even today, it is still the
symbol of Palavas-les-Flots. It dominates
Sunrise Park (Parc du Levant), adjacent
to the landscaped park created for
enjoying a walk in the outdoors.

Der humoristische Zeichner Albert
Dubout hat das Leben der
Palvaseinwohner, zu denen er selbst
gehörte, skizziert. Er hat genauso
Alltagsszenen der Leute im Süden
und ihrer Kultur verewigt: Ferien,
Dampfeisenbahn, Transporte, Sport und
Gesellschaft.
Die Redoute de Ballestras, ein im Jahr
1743 errichteter Wachturm, um die Küste
zu schützen hat zudem die Erbauung
des Fischerdorfes vereinfacht, das es
vor den Piraten zu beschützen galt. Sie
ist auch heute noch das Wahrzeichen
von Palavas. Sie dominiert die Insel
des Sonnenaufgangs „Parc du Levant“
umrahmt vom Landschaftspark, der für
Spaziergänge ausgebaut wurde.
