The Easter weekend – How to make pancakes – Egg rolling –
It’s springtime! – Pancake Day and Lent – All about Easter bunnies
In Great Britain people celebrate Pancake Day on the Tuesday
before Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent
– the six weeks of fasting before Easter.
On Pancake Day people traditionally make pancakes and enjoy
the sweet food. There are crazy pancake races at most schools.
For the race children wear an apron and carry a frying pan with a
pancake. They run and flip the pancakes. But it’s not easy to catch the flying pa
pancake again!

Run, rabbit, run!
Run, rabbit, run!
Play this game in groups of four. Throw the dice to find out which player gets which racing
track. Put your counters on start. The youngest player goes first. Move your counter
on the racing track and follow the instructions on the fields. When you get on
a vocab quiz your neighbour has to draw a card and read it out to you.
If your answer is wrong, you miss a turn. If your answer is right, you can go
again the next time it is your turn. The fastest “rabbit” wins the race!

Baby rabbits are born in a nest. They don’t have fur and
their eyes are closed. They stay in the nest for some
weeks. Rabbits are often called bunnies because they
are so cute.
A pet rabbit can live up to ten or twelve years.
