Geräte / Systeme gemäß den Standards der Sicherheitstechnik in Betrieb zu nehmen, zu erden und zu

Vitalitätsüberwachung
Das Programm Ackermann VITAL für clino systeme ermöglicht die Nutzung einer Patientenrufanlage zur Überwachung der Vitalität von Bewohnern in Senioren- und Pflegeheimen.
Hierzu muss ein Bewohner innerhalb des Überwachungszeitraums eine bestimmte Aktion ausführen, wie z.B.
eine Taste drücken. Alternativ könnte per Kontakt das Öffnen oder Schliessen von Türen als Vitalitätsmeldung
ausgewertet werden. Im Anschluss an den Überwachungszeitraum wird für jeden überwachten Raum, in dem
keine Vitalität festgestellt wurde, ein Alarmruf ausgelöst. Dieser Alarmruf wird je nach verwendeter Rufanlage auf
den Bedienrechnern dargestellt oder auf Geräten einer Personensuchanlage (PSA) oder Telefonanlage (DECT)
signalisiert.
Voraussetzungen
Voraussetzung für den Einsatz des Programms VITAL ist die Verwendung einer Ackermann Patientenrufanlage
mit Bedien- oder Serverrechner (WL, Win oder PW System, CP99, CC21).
Bei WL bzw. Win System (clino phon 95 Systeme) kann VITAL nur eingesetzt werden wenn das PRZ-Steuerprogramm für „alte Norm" ausgelegt wird.
Das Programm ist lauffähig unter den Microsoft Betriebssystemen Windows 98 / NT 4x / 2000 / XP.

Funktionsweise
Das Programm hat den Status eines Dienstprogramms. Es erscheint nach dem Starten als Symbol in der Taskleiste der Arbeitsoberfläche.
Wie nahezu alle clino Programme greift das Programm VITAL auch auf die Projektdatenbank zu. Der Datenaustausch zur anderen Ackermann Anwendungen erfolgt durch Verwendung der Kommunikationswege des
IPCModuls.
Programmoberfläche
Bei Bedarf kann das Anwendungsfenster des Programms geöffnet werden. In dem Anwendungsfenster werden
die wesentlichen Informationen angezeigt. Das sind:
Überwachungszeitraum und Zustand der Überwachung

Die verwendete Projektdatenbank, hier „D:\CC21\Bob\Projekte\Vital\DB\Vital.mdb“

Zustand des Kommunikationswegs zur Übergabe von Daten: „IPC verbunden“

Der Überwachungszeitraum mit den Zeitpunkten für Start und Ende, sowie dem aktuellen Zustand, hier „Überwachung aktiv“, das heißt, die aktuelle Uhrzeit liegt zwichen 06:00 und 11:00.

Die überwachten Terminals, welche eine Liste derjenigen Geräte enthält die aktuell überwacht
werden sollen.

Ein Monitorfenster zur Darstellung von Programmmeldungen, welches Statusmeldungen anzeigt um die Aktivitäten des Programms VITAL zu beobachten und ggf. Hinweise zur Fehlersuche zu bekommen.

Einstellungen
Die Eigenschaften des Programms VITAL wie betroffene Terminals, notwendige Bewohneraktionen, Art des
Alarmrufs usw. können entsprechend den Anforderungen des Betreibers eingestellt werden.
Hierzu öffnen Sie den Dialog „Einstellungen“ durch Klick mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Vital-Symbol in der
Startleiste. Sie erhalten dann das angezeigte Kontext-Menü und wählen dort mit der linken Maustaste den Befehl
„Einstellungen“ aus:

Im Folgenden werden die einzelnen Abschnitte dieses Dialogs beschrieben.
Standards
Die Auswahl des Standards bewirkt die Voreinstellung des Dialogs „Einstellungen“ mit Standardwerten, die sich
für das eingesetzte Rufsystem als sinnvoll erwiesen haben. Mit „benutzerdefiniert“ können alle Einstellungen
individuell angepasst werden.
Möchten Sie die Einstellungen anpassen, so klicken Sie zunächst auf die Vorgabe für Ihr Systems um die Standardeinstellungen einzustellen und anschließend auf „benutzerdefiniert (frei einstellbar)“ um die gewünschten
Anpassungen vorzunehmen.
Beachten Sie bitte, dass die Aktionen vor, während und nach der „Überwachung" vom System clino opt 99, nicht
unterstützt werden und auch nicht aktiviert werden dürfen, um Fehlfunktionen zu verhindern!
Überwachungseinstellungen
Allgemein
Für welche Zimmerterminals eine Überwachung durch diese Anwendung stattfinden soll, muss festgelegt werden.
Die Überwachung kann von der Gruppe und / oder von der Eigenschaft Priorität abhängig sein. Die Zugehörigkeit
eines Geräts zu einer Gruppe wird bei der Konfiguration der Rufanlage festgelegt, berücksichtigt organisatorische und räumliche Gegebenheiten und ist daher relativ statisch. Jedes Gerät gehört zu genau einer Gruppe, die
Gruppennummer ist eindeutig.
Das Setzen und Löschen der Eigenschaft „Priorität" wird durch das Bedienprogramm „Grafik Modul“ vorgenommen und in der Datenbank gespeichert. Das Programm „VITAL“ benutzt dieselbe Datenbank, um die zu überwachenden Zimmer festzustellen.

Rufarten
Hier ist zwischen den Rufarten für die „Überwachung“, der „Alarmierung" und „Alarm abstellen“ zu unterscheiden.
Die Überwachungsrufart ist diejenige, die verwendet wird, um die Vitalität des Bewohners zu signalisieren und die
Alarmrufart ist diejenige, die verwendet wird um die Nicht-Vitalität eines Bewohners an das Personal zu melden.
Die Abstellrufart (typischerweise „Anwesenheit 1“) kann genutzt werden, um die Alarmrufart wieder in dem Moment zurückzustellen, in dem das Personal das betreffende Zimmer untersucht. Dies ist in Systemen notwendig,
wo der Alarmruf wie ein externer Ruf behandelt wird und nicht wie ein echter Ruf aus dem Zimmer, z.B. also bei
Verwendung des Rufsystems clino opt 99 mit Bidirektionaler-Schnittstelle (BDS).
Zur Überwachung und zur Alarmierung können grundsätzlich alle Rufarten der Rufanlage genutzt werden. Als
Überwachungsrufart eignen sich jedoch besonders die Rufarten Anwesenheit 1 oder 2 und als Alarmrufart eignen
sich alle Rufarten vom Typ Rufe (z.B. Normal- oder Notruf).
Als Abstellrufart nur Rufarten vom Typ „Anwesenheit“.

Aktionen vor der Überwachung
Diese Aktionen werden mit der Option „Aktivieren“ eingeschaltet (nicht bei clino opt 99 verwenden!).
Verfügt die Rufanlage über die Möglichkeit Rufe / Anwesenheiten über eine Datenschnittstelle zu setzen oder
löschen zu können, kann VITAL die Überwachungsrufart vor der Überwachung setzen. Die Bewohner erkennen
so, beispielsweise bei der Verwendung der Anwesenheit 2 als Überwachungsrufart, an dem Aufleuchten der
gelben Signalleuchte, dass der Überwachungszeitraum begonnen hat und sie die Markierung zurücksetzen
müssen (Erinnerungsfunktion).
Die Erkennung der Vitalität hängt davon ab ob zuvor die Überwachungsrufart gelöscht oder gesetzt wird.
Wird sie zu Beginn der Überwachung gelöscht, dann gilt der Bewohner als „Vital", sobald eine kommende Überwachungsrufart erkannt wird.
Umgekehrt, wenn zu Beginn die Überwachungsrufart gesetzt wird, gilt der Bewohner als „Vital", sobald die Überwachungsrufart geht.
Ist diese Option nicht aktiv, so wird die Vitalität erst erkannt, wenn die Überwachungsrufart gekommen und gegangen ist.
Aktionen während der Überwachung
Diese Aktionen werden durch die Option „Rufart „Überwachung“ zurücksetzen nach“ eingeschaltet (nicht bei clino
opt 99 verwenden!).
Diese Funktion soll den Normal- bzw. Ruhezustand nach der Signalisierung der Vitalität bereits während der aktiven Überwachung wieder herstellen.
Insbesondere macht dies Sinn, wenn durch Auslösen der Überwachungsrufart in der Zimmersignalleuchte eine
Lampe angeht, z.B. wenn für die AW2 die gelbe Lampe vorhanden ist oder wenn zur Auslösung Bewegungsmelder eingesetzt werden und die Überwachung dann automatisch zurückgestellt werden soll.
Ohne Zurücksetzen der Überwachungsrufart würden in diesen Fällen sonst die Netzteile durch den bis zum Ende
der Überwachungszeit immer weiter zunehmenden Strom immer mehr belastet und schlussendlich überlastet.
Je nach Anwendungsfall kann es auch sinnvoll sein, das Zurücksetzen der Überwachungsrufart (hier AW2) auf
die überwachten Terminals zu beschränken. Dann kann die AW2 in den anderen, nicht überwachten Zimmern wie
gewohnt verwendet werden.
Aktionen nach der Überwachung
Werden mit der Option „Aktivieren“ eingeschaltet (nicht bei clino opt 99 verwenden!).
Verfügt die Rufanlage über die Möglichkeit Rufe und Anwesenheiten über eine Datenschnittstelle setzen oder
löschen zu können, kann VITAL die Überwachungsrufart nach der Überwachung zurücksetzen. Sinnvoll kann das
in Konfigurationen eingesetzt werden, in denen nach Ablauf der Überwachungszeit bei nicht erfolgter Vitalitätsmeldung ein Alarm ausgelöst worden ist.
Nachrichteneinstellungen
Format
Hier ist nur der Text für die Rufart einstellbar, Standardvorgabe „VITAL“. Dieser Text ist im Wesentlichen nur für
die Protokollierung der Vitalrufe interessant.
Das Kommando für „Ruf setzen“ lautet „B1“ und für „Ruf zurückstellen“ lautet es „B0“.
Für das System clino phon 95 wird statt „B1“ der Wert „B9“ und für „B0“ der Wert „B8“ verwendet. Die Umstellung
erfolgt, falls erforderlich, in der Registrierung unter:
„HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ackermann\VITAL_CP95\Kopplung\loeschen (=B8) bzw. .....\setzen (=B9).

Alarmierung

Aktivere Alarmierung
Soll eine Alarmierung erfolgen, so werden nach Ablauf des Überwachungszeitraumes für jedes Zimmer,
für welches keine Vitalität festgestellt wurde, ein Alarm mit der festgelegten Alarmrufart ausgelöst und
damit ggf. auch über eine Personensuchanlage (PSA) oder per SMS gemeldet.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist diese Funktion in der Standardkonfiguration zwangsweise immer gesetzt
und ist nicht abschaltbar. Falls die Alarmierung ausdrücklich nicht gewünscht wird, wenden Sie sich
bitte an unseren Service.

Alarm bei AW zurückstellen
Insbesondere zu verwenden in Systemen in denen die Vitalrufe als externe Rufe betrachtet werden und
damit nicht im System selbst durch Setzen der Anwesenheit gelöscht werden können.

Alarme automatisch zurückstellen
Ausgelöste Alarme können automatisch nach Ablauf von X Minuten zurückgesetzt werden, um das System wieder in den Ruhezustand zu bringen. Z.B. für Vitalrufe, die nach einer Stunde immer noch nicht
abgearbeitet wurden.
Nachrichtenversand
Durch Auswahl von den Nachrichten die das Programm VITAL an andere Anwendungen schickt, kann die Arbeitsweise des Programms den Gegebenheiten des verwendeten Rufsystems, den verwendeten Programmen und
den Erfordernissen der Alarmierung noch feiner angepasst werden:

Universelles Nachrichtenformat („CallInfo“)
Nachrichten werden im Format „CallInfo“ übertragen. Dieses universelle Nachrichtenformat kann von
allen PC Programmen der clino Reihe verarbeitet werden. Eine weitere Verarbeitung einer Alarmnachricht z.B. durch das PSAModul ist daher möglich.
Dies ist die Standardvorgabe und typischerweise immer aktiv.

Nachrichtenformat clino opt 99
Bei der Verwendung der Rufanlage clino opt 99 ist z.Z. keine Rückmeldung durch das Rufsystem
selbst möglich. Um die durch das Programm VITAL ausgelösten Alarme trotzdem zu protokollieren, wird
eine Nachricht als Opt99-Ruf übertragen. Es erfolgt ausschliesslich die Protokollierung der Alarme mit
dem angegebenen Rufarttext.

Nachrichtenformat clino phon 95
Bei der Verwendung der Rufanlage clino phon 95 / clino opt 90 kann es je nach verwendeter Steuerrechnersoftware notwendig sein, die Nachrichten im Format „PRZ Befehl“ an die Rufzentrale zu senden.

Empfangene Abstellnachricht weiterleiten
Bei Verwendung des Bedienprogramms „Grafischer Lichtruf“ können bestimmte Rufe aus dem Bedienprogramm heraus als abstellbar konfiguriert werden (Sondereinstellungen!). Bei Auswahl dieser Option
wird die Abstellnachricht zurückgesendet, da die Bedienoberfläche auf die Bearbeitung der AbstellAnforderung wartet.
Hinweis
Je nach Aktion vor der Überwachung und den ausgelösten Alarmen ist zu beachten, dass die Spannungsversorgung der Geräte (und der Zimmersignalleuchten) gewährleistet ist!
Wird beispielsweise die Aktion „Rufart Überwachung setzen“ ausgewählt, werden in allen überwachten
Terminals die Anwesenheiten gesetzt. In der Folge dessen werden ggf. die Lampen in den Zimmersignalleuchten angehen!

Zusammenwirken der Lichtruf-Anwendungen
Zur Darstellung des Zusammenwirkens der Lichtruf-Anwendungen wird exemplarisch die Bedienoberfläche
„Grafischer Lichtruf“ für System clino phon 99 / clino phon 21 win herausgestellt. Der Austausch von Informationen zwischen diesen Anwendungen erfolgt über Kommunikationswege, die durch das Programm „IPCModul“
bereitgestellt werden.
Es werden für unser Beispiel folgende Einstellungen vorausgesetzt:
Es handelt sich hier um die Standardeinstellungen für das System clino phon 99.
Rufart „Überwachung“ ist die Anwesenheit 2 (Rufart Nr. 8)
Rufart „Alarmierung“ ist der Vitalruf (Rufart Nr. 10)
Rufart „Alarm abstellen“ ist die Anwesenheit 1 (Rufart Nr. 9)
Alle Räume (Terminals) mit gesetzter Priorität sollen überwacht werden.
Es sollen zu Beginn der Überwachung alle AW2 automatisch gesetzt werden und zum Ende der Überwachung
alle nicht durch die Bewohner gelöschten AW2 ebenfalls automatisch zurückgesetzt werden.

In dem Grafik Modul werden die mit Eigenschaft Priorität gesetzten Geräte (dargestellt als Räume) mit einer eigenen Hintergrundfarbe dargestellt. (Standardfarbe ist khaki)

Die Umstellung überwachter oder nicht überwachter Räume erfolgt in diesem Beispiel durch Setzen oder Löschen
der Eigenschaft Priorität aus dem Grafik Modul heraus. Die Änderungen werden unmittelbar in der Datenbank
abgelegt und es erfolgt eine Änderungsmeldung an das Programm VITAL welches sich daraufhin aktualisiert.
Grafik Modul – Beginn der Überwachung
Der Beginn der Überwachung wird durch Setzen der Überwachungsrufart eingeleitet.
Der Rufarttext für "Anwesenheit 2"
wurde hier auf "Vital" abgeändert.
In der beispielhaften Konfiguration wird die Rufartnummer 8 (normalerweise „Anwesenheit 2“ hier in „VITAL“ umbenannt) gesetzt. Die überwachten Räume werden gelb eingefärbt und erscheinen in der Liste Anwesenheiten. In
den Räumen selbst erinnert jetzt eine gelbe Signalleuchte die Bewohner daran, dass Sie die gelbe Taste drücken
müssen.

Grafik Modul – Ende der Überwachung und Alarmierung
Das Ende der Überwachung kann mit dem Setzen einer Alarmrufart verbunden sein. In der beispielhaften Konfiguration wurde ein Alarm ausgelöst.
Die zur Alarmierung benutzte Rufartnummer 10 ("VITAL") und als Notruf in der Liste „Rufe“ des Grafik Moduls
dargestellt. Hatte ein Bewohner versehentlich die gelbe Taste zweimal gedrückt (und damit die Anwesenheit 2
wieder gesetzt), so wird dies ebenfalls als „vital“ erkannt und kein Alarm ausgelöst.
Für alle überwachten Räume ohne „Vitalität“, wird der Vitalruf ausgelöst, hier war es das Zimmer „EG 04" welches
nun rot / weiß-blinkend dargestellt ist.

Einstellungen für andere Module
Typischer Weise möchte man – bei Einsatz von VITAL – nicht, dass durch Umschalten der Priorität im Grafik
Modul, der Bewohner durch Drücken seiner roten Ruftaste tatsächlich einen PRIO-Ruf auslöst (sondern es soll
ein Normalruf bleiben). Auch das Setzen der AW2 soll normalerweise nicht dazu führen, dass Rufe zu den Bewohnern nachgesendet und somit akustisch signalisiert werden.
Um dies zu verhindern, müssen im System weitere Konfigurationseinstellungen angepasst werden. Ausführliche

Vitality monitoring
The program Ackermann VITAL for clino systems facilitates the use of a nurse call system to monitor the vitality
of residents in institutions for senior citizens and those requiring care.
For this purpose a resident must carry out a specific action, e.g. press a button, within the monitoring period. Alternatively, the opening or closing of doors could be evaluated as a vital message for each contact. At the end of the
monitoring period an alarm is released for each monitored room in which no vital sign was registered. Depending
on the call system used, this alarm call is shown on the operating computer or is signalled on paging devices
(PSA) or on the telephone system (DECT).
Pre-requisites
Pre-requisite for the deployment of the VITAL program is the use of an Ackermann nurse call system with operating or server computer (WL, Win or PW system, cp99, cc21).
For the WL or Win system (clino phon systems) VITAL can only be used if the PRZ control program is set up for
“old norm”.
The program runs under the Microsoft operating systems Windows 98 / NT 4x / 2000 / XP.
Version of the vital module: minimum V01.10R.
Functionality
The program has the status of a service program. It appears after start up as a symbol on the task bar of the user
interface.
Like almost all clino programmes, the program VITAL also accesses the project database. The exchange of data
with other Ackermann applications occurs by using the communication paths of the IPC module.
Program interface
The application window of the program can be opened if required. In the application window the main information
is indicated. That is:

Settings
The characteristics of the program VITAL as well as the affected terminals, required resident actions, type of alarm
calls etc. can be set up according to the requirements of the operator.
To do this, open the dialogue window “Settings” by clicking on the Vital symbol on the taskbar with the right-hand
mouse button. When the following pop-up menu appears, select the command “Settings” with the left-hand mouse
button:

The individual sections are described in the following.
Standards
The selection of the standard affects the pre-setting of the dialogue “settings” with default values, which have
proven to be practical for the call system used. With “user defined” all settings can be individually adapted.
To adapt the settings, first select your system in order to set up the default settings and then click on “user defined”
to make the desired changes.
Please note that the actions before, during and after “monitoring” of the system clino opt99 are not supported and
must also not be activated, in order to avoid incorrect functioning!
Monitoring settings
General
The room terminals to be monitored by this application must be specified. The monitoring can be dependent on
the group and/or the attribute “priority set”. The membership of a device to a group is specified by the configuration of the call system, takes into account organisational and layout conditions and is relatively fixed. Each device
belongs to precisely one group, the group number being unique.
The setting and deleting of the attribute “priority” is carried out through the operating program “graphical module”
and is stored in the database. The program “VITAL” uses the same database in order to determine the rooms to
be monitored.

Call types
Here a differentiation must be made between the call types “monitor”, the “alert” and “cancel alert”.
The call type “monitor” is used to indicate signs of life from the resident and the call type “alert” is used to inform
the staff of the lack of signs of life from a resident.
The call type “cancel alert” (typically “Presence 1”) can be used to cancel the call type “alert” when the staff start
to investigate the room concerned. This is necessary in systems where the alarm call is dealt with like an external call and not with an actual call from the room, e.g. when using the call system clino opt 99 with bi-directional
interface (BDS).
All call types of the call system can be used for monitoring and alerting. However, call types Presence 1 and 2 are
particularly suitable as monitoring call types and all call types of the type call (e.g. normal call or emergency call)
are suitable as alarm call types.
Only the call type “Presence” can be used as a cancel call type.

Actions before monitoring
These actions are switched on with the option “Activated” (do not use for clino opt 99!).
If the call system can set or cancel calls/presences via a data interface, VITAL can set the monitoring call type before monitoring takes place. The residents can thus see, for example when Presence 2 is used as the monitoring
call type, that the monitoring period has begun and that they must reset the indicator because the yellow indicator
lamp is illuminated (remind function).
Recognition of signs of life depends on whether the monitoring call type was previously cancelled or set.
If it cancelled at the start of the monitoring, then the resident is considered to be “alive” as soon as an incoming
monitoring call type is recognised.
Conversely, if the monitoring call type is set at the beginning, the resident is considered to be “alive” as soon as
the monitoring call type is cancelled.
If this option is not active, vitality is only recognised when the monitoring call type has come and gone.
Actions during monitoring
These actions are switched on by the option “Cancel call type monitor after” (do not use for clino opt 99!).
With this function, the normal or standby state should be re-established after signalling of signs of life during the
active monitoring.
This makes particular sense, if through release of the monitoring call type a lamp is illuminated in the corridor
lamp, e.g. if the yellow lamp is present for PR2 or if motion detectors are being used and the monitoring should
then be automatically cancelled.
Otherwise, if the monitoring call type is not cancelled in these cases, the power supply units would be increasingly
loaded and finally overloaded as a result of the ever increasing current during the control time period.
Depending upon the application, it can also make sense to limit cancelling of the monitored call type (here PR2)
to the monitored terminals. Then PR2 can be used as usual in the other, non-monitored rooms.
Actions after monitoring
This is switched on with the option “Activated” (do not use for clino opt 99!).
If the call system can set or cancel calls and presences via a data interface, VITAL can reset the monitoring call
type after monitoring takes place. This can be usefully set up in the configuration, in that an alarm is released after
expiry of the monitoring period if no signs of life were registered.
Messaging
Format
Only the text for the call type can be set up here, standard entry “VITAL”. This text is essentially only interesting
for the logging of the vital call.
The commands for “set call” and “cancel call” are “B1” and “B0” respectively. For the system clino phon 95, the
value „B9“ is used instead of „B1“ and „B8“ is used instead of „B0“. The change occurs, if required, in the register
„HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ackermann\VITAL_CP95\.

Alerting

Activate alerting
If an alarm should occur, after expiry of the monitoring period an alarm is released with the specified
alarm call type for each room for which no vitality was ascertained and thereby is indicated via a paging
system (PSA) or per SMS if applicable.
For safety reasons this function is always compulsorily set in the standard configuration and cannot be
switched off. If the alerting is expressly not desired, please contact our service personnel.

Cancel alert by presence set
To be used particularly in systems in which the vital calls are regarded as external calls and thus
cannot be cancelled by setting the presence.

Cancel alerts automatically
Released alarms can be automatically reset after a period of x minutes, to set the system back to
standby. E.g. for vital calls, which have still not been processed after an hour.
Message mailing
By selecting the messages that the program VITAL sends to other applications, the way in which the program
works can be more finely tuned to the conditions of the call systems used, the programs used and the demands
of the alarms:

Message format is universal (“Callinfo”)
Messages are transmitted in the format “Callinfo”. This universal message format can be processed by
all PC programs in the clino series. Further processing of alarm messages, e.g. through the pager (PSA
module) is thus possible.
This is the standard setup and is typically always active.

Message format is clino opt 99
If using the call system clino opt 99, no response is currently possible through the call system itself. In
order to log alarms released through the program VITAL anyway, a message is transmitted as Opt99call. Only the logging of the alarms with the entered call type text occurs.

Message format is clino phon 95 (PRZ)
If using the call system clino phon 95 / clino opt 90, it may be necessary to send the message in the
format “PRZ command” to the call control unit, depending on the control computer software used.

Echo cancel message
If using the operating program “graphical nurse call”, specific calls can be configured from the operating
program to be capable of being cancelled (special settings!). If this option is selected, the cancel
message is sent back, since the graphic module waits for the cancel request to be processed.
Note
Depending on the action before the monitoring and the released alarms, it should be ensured that the
current supply for the devices (and the corridor lamps) is guaranteed!
For instance, if the action “Set call type monitor” is selected, the presences are set in all monitored terminals. As a result, the lamps may be illuminated in the corridor lamp.

Interaction of the nurse call applications
To illustrate the interaction of the nurse call applications, the user interface of the “graphical nurse call” for the system clino phon 99 / clino phon 21 win has been selected. The exchange of information between these applications
occurs via communication paths, which are made available through the program “IPCModul”.
For the example the following settings are assumed:
Here the system clino phon 99 has the default settings:
Call type “monitor” is Presence 2 (call type no. 8)
Call type “alert” is the normal call (call type no. 10)
Call type “cancel alert” is Presence 1 (call type no. 9)
All PR2’s should automatically be set at the beginning of the monitoring and at the end of the monitoring all PR2’s
that have not been cancelled by the residents should also be automatically cancelled.

On the graphic module, those devices (shown as rooms) that have the attribute “priority set” are represented with
their own background colour. (Default colour is khaki.)

The changing of monitored or non-monitored rooms takes place in this example by setting or cancelling the attribute “priority set” on the graphic module. The changes are stored immediately in the database and a change
message is sent to the program VITAL which updates itself as a result.
Graphic module – start of monitoring
The start of the monitoring is initiated by setting the monitoring call type.
The call type text for “Presence 2” is
changed here to “Vital”.
In the configuration example the call type number 8 (normally “Presence 2” but renamed here as “VITAL”) is set.
The monitored rooms are indicated in yellow and appear in the list of presences. In the rooms themselves the
yellow indicator light now reminds the residents that they must press the yellow push-button.

Graphic module – end of monitoring and alerting
The end of the monitoring can be linked to the setting of an alarm call type. In this configuration example an alarm
is released.
The call type number 10 ("VITAL") is shown in the graphic module list “Calls” as an emergency call. If a resident
has inadvertently pressed the yellow button twice (and thereby set Presence 2 again), this is also recognised as
“vital” and no alarm is released.
For all monitored rooms without “vitality”, an vital call is released. In this example it was room “GF 04” which is
now shown as red/white flashing.
All remaining Presence 2’s are automatically cancelled at the end of the monitoring period.
Settings for other modules
Typically - when using VITAL - one does not want a resident to release a PRIO call, as a result of switching in the
graphic module, when pressing the red call button ( it should remain as a normal call). Also, setting of PR2 should
not normally result in calls being forwarded to the residents and thus being indicated acoustically.
In order to avoid this, further configuration settings must be adapted in the system. More detailed information
about this can be found in the document „Software Installation / Configuration Vital Call with Ackermann Nurse
