We have opened the first hammock store in Europe in
Amsterdam in 1991 and our motto was and still is:
Bringing together tradition and modern design
Our aim has always been to bring the original South
American hammocks, not the Western models, for
which they make use of spreaders on both sides of the
hammock. Hammocks with spreaders have a tendency
to tilt.
Top quality was and is our aim and that does not always
go hand in hand with a low price. This is our choice.
Our hammocks are made by specialists, who are well
paid.
We have been close with the consumer for over 30 years,
because of this, we have a good view of their needs and
motives.
Therefore, we decided to produce hammocks of more
extensive measurements, compared to the countries
of origin of the hammock. We can also quickly assess
which colors and products best catch on. This is why we
have dedicated a selection of our range to the seasons of
2012-2013.
Currently, hammock chairs are super trendy.
Special products are the ECO hammocks made of cotton, which grows in color and the hammock and hammock chair stands made of pressed bamboo.
These are developments that make us feel all warm and
fuzzy inside. They are not hollow words, but products
which actually contribute to a better environment.

größeren Maßen zu fertigen als sie in den Ursprungsländern vorkommen.

de paire avec des petit prix. C’est notre choix. Nos
hamacs sont faits par des spécialistes qui sont bien
payés.
Nous sommes en étroite collaboration avec
nos consommateurs depuis plus de 30 ans, et
pour cette raison nous avons une bonne compréhension de leurs besoins et de leurs motivations. Par conséquent, nous avons décidé de
produire des hamacs plus grands, comparés
aux pays d’origine du hamac. Nous sommes
également en mesure d’évaluer rapidement
les couleurs et les produits qui marchent le
mieux. C’est pourquoi nous avons intégré une
sélection pour les saisons 2012 et 2013 dans
notre gamme. Actuellement, les chaises d’hamac sont très tendance.
Nos produits spéciaux sont les hamacs ECO
faits en coton qui pousse avec une couleur
naturelle et les supports de hamac et de chaise
d’hamac faits en bambou pressé. Ce sont des
avancées techniques qui nous font chaud au
coeur. Ce ne sont pas des mots en l’air, mais ce

To our great joy, there is now an alternative for tropical hardwood: PRESSED BAMBOO. Super strong, very durable and really
fast growing. We want to apply this material to all of our hammock and hammock chair stands which make use of wood, and
stop using tropical hardwood for our stands.
One thing that is very important to us when it comes to hammock stands, is its carrying capacity. It should be capable of
carrying heavier people, or two people at once, which prevents
accidents. The maximum weight the COMFORT can carry is
180kg, the maximum of the ALU ARC is 200kg and the maximum of the ZIG ZAG is 250kg.

Zu unserer großen Freude gibt es nun eine Alternative für tropisches Hartholz: Gepresstes Bambusholz.
Es ist sehr stark, strapazierfähig und zudem noch schnell
nachwachsend. Wir wollen dieses Material nun für alle Hängematten- und Sitzhängematten-Gestelle, für welche Holz
benötigt wird verwenden und damit aufhören tropisches
Hartholz zu nutzen. Eine Sache die wir bei einem Hängemattengestell für wichtig halten ist die Tragfähigkeit.Es sollte
schwerere Leute tragen können oder zwei Leute auf einmal
und Unfälle vermeiden. Die maximale Tragfähigkeit des COMFORT-Gestells ist 180kg, bei dem ALU ARC Gestell liegt sie bei
200kg und bei dem ZIG ZAG Gestell beträgt sie 250kg.

appliquer ce matériel à tous nos supports d’hamac et à toutes
nos chaises d’hamac en bois, et arrêter l’utilisation de bois dur
tropical pour nos supports.
Une chose que nous trouvons très importante pour un support
d’hamac, c’est sa charge maximale. Il devrait pouvoir soutenir
des personnes plus lourdes, voire même deux personnes, et
empêcher les accidents. La charge maximale du COMFORT est
de 180kg, elle est de 200kg pour l’ARC ALU et de 250kg pour le

In 1996, we organized a contest for
designing hammock stands.
In that time, the market did not have a decently
designed hammock stand to offer, with exception of the now widely copied ROMAN ARCH by
Hatteras.
The winner of this contest was the ZIG ZAG, by
Marianne Meinema. A beautiful stand on which
no screws are used. Made of stainless steel 316.

The Zig Zag ‘Movable’ The Zig Zag Movable hammock
stand is a simple variant of the original model developed for
us by Marianne Meinema back in 1996.
The upstanding parts of the stand can be put in multiple
positions making it suitable for XL, XL Short and Large hammocks. Stainless steel feet, which can be adjusted in height

The big advantage of this stand is that the feet
have been placed toward the back, so one can
sit with their back pointing to the stand, without
it falling over. This is one of the few stands with
which this is possible. For the COMFORT, we
use pressed bamboo on powdercoated steel feet.
The Comfort Can carry a weight up to 180kg and
takes our Large and XL hammocks.

man mit dem Rücken zum Gestell sitzen kann ohne

tragen und ist passend für unsere Hängematten in den
Größen L und XL.
