Dear Exhibitor:
This Exhibitor Services Manual contains important information and is designed to assist
you in preparing for the ESPID 2015 exhibition.
The exhibition will be held in conjunction with the 33rd Annual Meeting of the European Society
for Paediatric and Infectious Diseases, taking place in Leipzig, Germany on 12-16 May, 2015.
The floor plan has been designed to maximize the exhibitor’s exposure to the delegates with
posters, lunches and coffee breaks taking place in the exhibition area.
Please read all the information in this manual. It will take you very little time now and
could save you a great deal of time later.
Please forward this manual to everyone who is working on this project, including your stand
builder, since it contains useful information about the Annual Meeting.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or assistance.

Please note that all exhibitors should be in their booth 30 minutes before the official opening hour.

Empty crates and packaging material must be removed/stored after set-up no later than 14:00 on
Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

All aisles must be clear of exhibits and packaging materials to allow for cleaning

Any equipment, display aid or other material left behind on Friday, May 16, 2015 after 23:30 will be
considered discarded and abandoned. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to dispose of all materials after
dismantling. Any charges incurred for waste removal will be sent to the exhibitor.

Please contact the Official Shipping Agent for available storage options (see Section 1: Contact
information).

Exhibitors are asked NOT to dismantle their stands before stipulated time.

All stands must be completely removed by the stipulated time.

The organisers and/or the venue will not take responsibility for loss or damage. Exhibitors must take full
responsibility for the items on their stand for the duration of the event until everything is cleared from
their stands.

Please note that participants will be walking through the Exhibition area to reach the Posters Area which will be
active before and after the Exhibition Opening Hours.
Therefore, you may either man your booth during those times or consider hiring extra security for your
valuables.

SECTION 4: Exhibition Stands
To ensure the smooth and efficient installation and dismantling of your booth, an official stand Contractor has
been appointed see SECTION 1: Contact Information. Booth furniture and accessories are available for rent, please
refer to order forms at the end of this manual.
Shell Scheme Package that has been pre-booked from Kenes includes:








Modular side and back white walls, height: 250 cm
Fascia, height: 30 cm, white

Technical Info and Regulation for Shell Schemes Booths
1. All basic shell scheme booths will be designed and built by the oofficial Stand Contractor.
Exhibitors are not allowed to make any alterations to the structure of the booths or remove any integral
parts from the booths. Exhibitors wishing to remove or change the location of any standard equipment
(e.g. spotlights) within the booth should indicate clearly on the location plan and forward it together
with clear instructions to the Official Contractor before
April 17, 2015.
2. No shell scheme booth-fitting or display(s) may exceed a height of 2.5 meters or extend beyond the
boundaries of the site allocated. This includes company names, advertising materials and logos provided
by the exhibitor.
3. No tape, nail or fixture of any kind is allowed to be affixed to the partitions, floor, ceiling or fascia.
Exhibitors are liable to any damage caused to their booth fixtures, fittings at the fair.
4. All furniture items, if included in the Scheme Package, are not exchangeable.
5. An exhibitor occupying a booth at the corner can request to close the additional side(s). If the Official
Stand Contractor. is not being notified in writing before April 17, 2015 it will be assumed that the
exhibitor will opt for opening on the additional side(s).
6. Exhibitors requiring additional equipment should contact the Official Stand Contractor latest by April 17,
2015
7. No painting is allowed; no usage of nails or screws.
8. Double sided tape can be used to affix lightweight items. Velcro can be used as well (male & female).
9. It is possible to use fishing line (nylon) to hang pictures etc.
10. Damaged panels will be charged to the exhibitor causing such damage.

Technical Info and Regulation for Space Rental Stands
Exhibitors using independent contractors are required to submit the following for approval to no later than April
10, 2015.
1.A scaled drawing (including elevation views) of the proposed booth to be built.
2.Description of work with specifications of materials to be installed in the booth.
3.A list of all Electrical appliances to be installed in the booth.
4.The exhibitor or his representative are responsible for providing notification
of a planned stand construction using Form A1.


All exhibits are to be displayed so as to avoid blocking aisles, obstructing adjoining booths, or damaging the
premises.

Exhibitors are kindly requested to allow sufficient see-through areas that ensure clear views of surrounding
exhibits.


necessary changes have been made.
Work cannot commence until the exhibitor layout is approved by the Organisers and the venue.

SECTION 5: Exhibition Technical Information








Hall Name: Hall 2
Gates 1 - 4: width 5.00 m, height 4.50 m
Maximum Build-up Height: The maximum allowed build-up height is 4 meter. Stands above 2.5m are
subject to approval of the CCL.
Floor Finish: Nice grey stone. When carpeting the booths please only use adhesives that do not leave stains
on floors.
Max. floor load: 33.3 kN/m2 (3 t/m2)
Rigging Options: rigging is available at the ESPID 2015 Exhibition.
Internet: Free Wi-Fi is available in all public spaces, including in the exhibit Hall.
Internet – Wired Connection – may be ordered via the CCL order form at the end of this manual.
Please note that if your Booth floor platform is higher than 4.5 cm, you are required to provide a ramp for
handicapped access.
Lorries and Trucks



North 1 is the move in \move out entrance
Uploading is vis the loading bay in front of the hall - Gate 2.2
Parking of trucks/lories/cars after unloading is possible at the parking facilities at the end of the exhibition
ground. Exhibitors can order a parking permit via the relevant order form or book it when they arrive.

Musical Play back
In accordance with the copyright regulations of Copyright Law, Paragraph15
(applicable Federal Law Gazette l), exhibitors
planning any kind of musical play back must obtain authorisation from the Society for Musical Performing
and Mechanical Reproduction Rights – GEMA, Herdweg 63, 70174 Stuttgart. Failure to register any musical play
back may result in a claim for damages made by GEMA (Paragraph 15, Copyright Law).

SECTION 6: Exhibitor Badges

All Exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting company’s
name. Individual participant names will NOT appear on badges and may be used interchangeably between
staff members.

Two exhibitor badges will be given for the first 9 sqm booked and one additional badge for each 9 sqm
thereafter. Any additional staff members will be charged an exhibitor registration fee of €180 (+VAT*).


Companies can purchase a maximum number of exhibitor registrations as follows:
Booths of up to 60 SQM – 15 exhibitor registrations
Booths larger than 60 SQM – 25 exhibitor registrations
Eexhibitors'’ badges allow access to the Exhibition area, Coffee Breaks, Lunches and Welcome Reception.
For additional badges, please use the Exhibitor registration form on the next page. Please return the form to the
attention, Ms. Orna Gilboa, Email: [email protected] no later than April 11, 2015.
All personnel are required to wear badges to access the venue. Company representatives not wearing their
badges will NOT be allowed to access the exhibition.

Company name badges are for the use of company personnel for booth staff purposes only and should not
be used by companies to bring visitors into the Exhibition.

Exhibitor’s badges will not be mailed in advance and may be collected at the Exhibition Management Desk
on arrival.

The Exhibition Management Desk will be open throughout the Exhibition set-up, opening and dismantling
period. The desk will be located within the Exhibition area.

Contractors Access during set-up and breakdown times
All contractors and staff must wear service passed during the entire se up and dismantling period. Service passed
are free of charge and may be collected from the exhibition manager desk on site.

Barcodes on participants' badges contain contact information as supplied by the registrant or the agency
responsible for the registration process of that participant. We regret that in some cases, as when group
registration is completed by a company, we may not be in possession of the full contact details.

Furthermore, in some cases, the participant does not give his permission to transfer his contact details to
any other party.

In addition, please note that neither Kenes International nor the Organising Committee is responsible for
the content of the information.



The system may be picked up onsite at the Exhibition Management Desk. Earliest pick up time is on Tuesday, May 12
from 12:00. The lead retrieval system needs to be returned to the Exhibition Manager’s Desk on Friday, May 15 by

SECTION 8: Rules & Regulations and General Information
Binding for all Exhibitors and their subcontractors
Security

Safety and Security of Material. Please do not leave any bags, boxes or suitcases unattended at any time,
whether inside or outside the exhibition are. The Congress secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability
for loss of or damage to private property or goods.
 The Organisers will provide security guard service in the exhibition hall during off-show hours. Neither
The Venue nor the Organisers can accept responsibility for the security of the stands and their contents
and for damage to, or theft of any goods. Exhibitors are fully responsible for the security of their stand
and equipment.

For ordering additional security, please refer to SECTION 10: Official Congress Contractors and Exhibitor
Information.
Stand Cleaning

The Organisers will arrange for general cleaning of the exhibition premises (excluding exhibits and displays)
prior to the opening of exhibition and daily prior to opening thereafter.

For ordering daily stand cleaning, for more information please refer to SECTION 10: Official Congress
Contractors and Exhibitor Information.
Waste Removal

Exhibitors are responsible for the removal of all refuse/waste from the exhibition area.

Any discarded waste, including promotional material, left behind will be removed by the Organisers at the
expense of the exhibitor concerned.
Smoking

The ESPID 2015 Congress is a non-smoking Congress.
Disposal of Material

It is obligatory to collect and dispose of all material during the breakdown or dismantling of the event.
When the dismantling period is over, the exhibitor loses any right to claim for losses or damage to property
left behind and any costs incurred by the venue in removing this property will be charged to the exhibitor.
Damage to the Premises

Exhibitors are liable for all damage caused to floors, walls and pillars during the installation, exhibition and
dismantling periods. No adhesive stickers and fixtures of any kind are allowed on floors, walls and pillars.

Fire Insurance (compulsory)

Exhibitors must be insured against fire.

Stand material and fittings must be of non-inflammable materials or impregnated with fire-retardant
chemicals. As a general rule, easily inflammable synthetic substances, foam polyester, and non-fireproof
straw and reeds are prohibited.


Poster Hanging, Banners etc.
 Hanging of posters, banners or decals, stickers or similar things, on the walls, floors, ceilings or columns
within or outside the installations of The Venue is not allowed without prior written authorization.


Liability Insurance

You are obliged to have a public liability insurance that covers all injuries to persons and damages which
might cover in connection with the exhibition.

We also recommend that you have additional coverage against loss or damage to exhibition material
during transport and during exhibition times. Please make arrangements for insurance coverage through
your company’s insurer.
Insurance (Compulsory)

Neither the Organisers nor The Venue, their representatives or agents will be held responsible for any loss
or damage to exhibitor’s property. Exhibitors must take precautions to protect their property against
pilferage.

The Organisers do not provide insurance for exhibitors and their property. The exhibitor is responsible for
his property and person and for the property and persons of his employees through full and comprehensive
insurance, and shall hold harmless the Organisers for any and all damage claims arising from theft and
those perils usually covered by a fire and extended-coverage policy.

Exhibitors are personally liable for all expenses incurred by the organizer or by third parties in regard to
technical services provide.
Promotional Activities

All demonstrations or instructional activities must be confined to the limits of the exhibition stand.

Advertising material and signs may not be distributed or displayed outside the exhibitor’s stands.

Sound equipment must be regulated and directed into the stand so that it does not disturb neighboring
exhibits.

The Exhibition Management reserves the right to require the exhibitor to discontinue any activity, noise or
music that is deemed objectionable.
Special Effects

Special effects lighting, live music, smoke and laser projection may not be used in the stands. No
permission will be given for projection in the aisles or on the walls of the hall. Participation by exhibitors is
dependent upon compliance with all rules, regulations and conditions stated herein.

Dear Exhibitor/Stand Builder,
Hermes-Merkur is the official handling agent for KENES congresses in 2015.
We are a full door to door service company, and sole on site logistics contractor.
As such, we are pleased to update you regarding the services and guidance as how we dispatch shipments
to the event.
Onsite Handling
Due to security, insurance and organiser policy, Hermes-Merkur is the exclusive handler inside the venue.
No other company is permitted to handle cargo within the venue.

Courier Shipments – Customs cleared only
It is not recommended to use a courier service for shipping your goods to the
congress venue. In case of sending a courier shipment, please be sure to send us a
pre-advise with the full details of the shipment: courier company, number of pieces
and tracking number.
All courier shipment must be send on DDP terms
Dangerous Cargo
Exhibitors need to complete a special form for dangerous goods. These forms will be
provided upon request and the completed forms should reach us before shipment is
dispatched. There will be surcharge of 100% for handling this kind of shipment.
Insurance
All goods must be fully insured with all risk coverage. Insurance can be provided
upon request. We regret that we can take no responsibility for goods after delivery
to the exhibitors stand regardless if the exhibitor is present or not.
Heavy & Oversized Shipments
A heavy and oversized shipment applies to any single exhibit in excess of 1000 kg
and 5 CBM that requires the use of a forklift mobile crane for installation.
Exhibitors with heavy and oversized exhibits must inform us at least seven days prior
to delivery. A detailed layout should also be provided to better assist our onsite
operations.
Payment Terms
In order to ensure move in/out of your shipment/s, please complete and sign the
attached Material Handling form/payment confirmation and return it to our
attention.
Please note that your signature will be used as payment guarantee based on the
general tariff.
Please notify “Hermes - Merkur” immediately about any requirements relating to
invoices. All invoices must be settled by exhibitors/contractors and agents in
advance of the congress. In case of non-payment of invoices, shipments will be held
in storage until the invoices are paid in full.
Any services not outlined in the attached tariff will be quoted on an individual basis.

All orders are accepted exclusively on the basis of the local & German forwarders
terms and conditions (ADSp).

Hinweise zur Elektoenergieversorgung | Notes on the supply of electricity
Diese Hinweise dienen nur zur Orientierung über die in den Technischen Richtlinien
ausführlich und verbindlich dargestellten Bedingungen für die Elektroversorgung.
These notes are only a guide to the conditions for the supply of electricity, which are laid out in detail in the binding Technical Guidelines.
1. Stromart/Schutzmaßnahmen | Type of current/protective measures
Es steht Drehstrom mit etwa 400 V 50 Hz zur Verfügung. Leistungen ≤ 3 kW können
auch als 230-V-Einphasenwechselstrom bereitgestellt werden. Als Schutzmaßnahme gegen elektrischen Schlag sind Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtungen (RCDs) mit
einem Bemessungsdifferenzstrom I∆N ≤ 30 mA einzusetzen.
Frequenzgesteuerte Maschinen (z. B. Maschinen, Roboter, Motoren) sind mit RCDs
Typ B auszustatten.
Three-phase current of approx. 400 V 50 Hz is available. Supplies of less than 3 kW
can also be provided as 230 V single-phase AC. Residual current protective devises
(RDCs) with a rated residual current of I∆N ≤ 30 mA must be used as protection
against eletric shock.
Frequency-controlled maschines (e.g. machine robots, motors) must be fitted with
Type B RCDs.
2. Vorschriften für elektrotechnische Anlagen und Geräte | Regulations for electrical installations and appliances
Alle elektrotechnischen Anlagen, Materialien und Geräte müssen den IEC-und den
VDE-Vorschriften entsprechend errichtet werden und nach diesen nachweisbar
geprüft sein. Die Prüfprotokolle sind am Stand vorzuhalten und auf Verlangen vor
zulegen. Das gilt auch für Fertigbauten, Container, Vorführwagen usw., die an das
Netz der Leipziger Messe angeschlossen werden sollen. Insbesondere sind VDE
0100, 0108, 0128, 0160, IEC 60364-7-711 (entspricht VDE 0100-711) : 1998 zu beachten.
All electrotechnical installations, materials and appliances must be installed and
tested (with proof of testing) in accordance with IEC and VDE regulations. The test
reports must be held on the stand and shown on demand.This also applies to prefabricated structures, containers, demonstration vehicles, etc. which are to be connected to the Leipziger Messe mains. In particular, VDE 0100, 0108, 0128, 0160, IEC
60364-7-711 (corresponds with VDE 0100-711) : 1998 must be observed.
The services indicated for each ordered connection form the basis for the sizing and
fusing of the supply lines and for the flat rate to be paid for electricity, if metering
does not take place. A scale drawing showing the position of the stand connection
point must be attached. Connection will be made at the nearest connection point
on the mains. It may only be installed and activated by companies under contract to
Leipziger Messe, who will also provide the necessary materials on loan.
On completion of electrical installation work, the connection to the electrical power
supply will be switched on by a Leipziger Messe contracted company. The company
contracted by the Leipziger Messe is authorized to inspect the electrical system(s)
before and after the system has been put into operation. In the event relevant requirements were not met, it will be the duty of the Leipziger Messe contracted
company to refuse to permit the connection to the mains supply or to disconnect it.
The exhibiter will then bear all costs of making a correct installation and of further inspections. The Leipziger Messe will bear the cost of deinstallation. Carrying
out an inspection of the system(s) and their connection to the mains supply, or
omitting to do this, does not constitute grounds for liability on the part of Leipziger
Messe and/or the Leipziger Messe contracted company to ensure that this system/s
is/are free of defects.
On the stand it must be possible to break the connections to the mains by means of
a main switch and/or, if permitted under VDE regulations, a socket outlet and plug
situated on the stand. Sockets for permanent electrical supply (e.g. for cooling units,
computers, etc.) are connected between the mains connector and the main switch.
Installations on stands may be made by firms under contract to Leipziger Messe.
Orders may be given using order form A3, which must be accompanied by the
additional information required.
Outside installers must be entered in the installer directory of the local energy supplier or similar.

3. Anschluss an das Netz | Mains connection
Die je bestelltem Anschluss angegebenen Leistungen bilden die Grundlage für die
Bemessung und Absicherung der Zuleitungen und die Strombezugspauschalen,
soweit keine Zählung erfolgt. In einer beigefügten maßstäblichen Standskizze ist
die Lage des Standanschlusses anzugeben. Der Anschluss erfolgt am nächstmög
lichen Anschlusspunkt des Netzes. Er darf nur von Vertragsfirmen der Leipziger
Messe errichtet und in Betrieb gesetzt werden. Das dazu benötigte Material wird
von denselben leihweise bereitgestellt. Nach Fertigstellung der Elektroinstallations
arbeiten erfolgt die Zuschaltung (Anschluss) durch die Vertragsfirma der Leipziger
Messe. Sie ist berechtigt, die Anlage(n) vor und nach der Inbetriebnahme zu über
prüfen. Bei Nichtbeachtung der einschlägigen Bestimmungen ist die Vertragsfirma
der Leipziger Messe verpflichtet, den Anschluss an das Versorgungsnetz abzulehnen
oder ihn zu trennen. Die Kosten für eine korrekte Installation und für weitere Prü
fungen trägt der Aussteller, die Kosten der Demontage trägt die Leipziger Messe.
Die Vornahme oder die Unterlassung der Überprüfung der Anlage(n) sowie deren
Anschluss an das Verteilungsnetz begründen keine Haftung der Leipziger Messe
bzw. der beauftragten Vertragsfirma der Leipziger Messe für die Mängelfreiheit der
Anlage(n).
Die Netzanschlüsse müssen im Stand durch einen Hauptschalter bzw., soweit nach
VDE zulässig, durch eine Steckvorrichtung im Stand vom Netz getrennt werden
können. Steckdosen für Dauerstromanschluss (z. B. Kühlgeräte, Computer usw.)
werden vor dem Hauptschalter angeschlossen.
4. Installationen in den Ständen | Installations on stands
Installationen in den Ständen dürfen von den Vertragsfirmen der Leipziger Messe
errichtet werden. Die Bestellung kann mittels Bestellvordruck A3 erfolgen, der um
die erforderlichen Daten zu ergänzen ist.
Externe Errichterfirmen müssen einen gültigen Eintrag im Installateurverzeichnis
des Energieversorgungsunternehmens oder Vergleichbares besitzen.
5. Betrieb der Anlage/Verhalten bei Störungen | Operating the system/what to do in case of power failure
Die Stromversorgung der Stände erfolgt frühestens nach Fertigstellung der Elektroinstallationsarbeiten am Stand. Während des Auf- und Abbaus stehen in begrenztem Maße Stromanschlüsse kleinerer Leistung an den Hallentoren zur Verfügung. Eine Gewähr für sofortige Verfügbarkeit oder ungehinderten Zugang wird
nicht gegeben.
Der Hauptschalter bzw. die Steckverbindung ist täglich beim Verlassen des Standes
vom Standpersonal aus- und am nächsten Tag wieder einzuschalten bzw. zu öffnen
und zu schließen. Bei Ausfallen des Standanschlusses ist umgehend der Halleninspektor zu informieren. Bei Störungen im Stand können gegen Berechnung unsere
Vertragsfirmen in Anspruch genommen werden.
Für Ausfälle des Elektronetzes übernimmt die Leipziger Messe ebenso wenig Haftung
wie für unter- bzw. überspannungsbedingte Störungen oder eingeschleppte Netzsituationen an Geräten bzw. Anlagen.
Power will be supplied to stands no earlier than after the electrical installation
has been completed at the stand. During the setting-up and dismantling phases
limited numbers of low-wattage electrical connections will be available on the hall
gates. There is no guarantee that these will be immediately available or readily
accessible. The main switch and/or plug-in connection must be turned off/discon
nected by the stand personnel each day when they leave the stand and turned
on again/reconnected the following day. In the event of power failure on the stand
the hall manager must be informed immediately. Faults on the stand can be re
paired by our contractors at the exhibitor‘s expense.
Leipziger Messe accepts no liability for power cuts, breakdowns caused by low
voltage or surges, or network problems with equipment or systems arising from
these.
6. Erfassung der Elektroenergie | Metering of electricity
Die Berechnung des Verbrauchs erfolgt während der Messelaufzeit mittels Tages
pauschale. Bei Abrechnung über tatsächlichen Verbrauch (Zähler bei Anschluss
werten > 63 A) erfolgt die Zählung während des gesamten Zeitraumes der Standzuschaltung.
Die Erfassung mit ausstellereigenem Zähler wird nicht anerkannt.
The consumption is charged by flat daily rate only during trade fair period. If charging bases on actual consumption (meter for connection power > 63 A) metering
will take place for the entire time the stand is connected.
Meter recordings using the exhibitor’s own meters will not be accepted!
Exhibitors shall be liable for any loss or damage to the technical equipment.
Procurement and repair costs are charged with a 15 % processing fee.
7. Verluste | Losses

The Leipziger Messe exhibition halls offer the option of providing flexible
suspension facilities from the roof structure. Due to structural constraints,
however, only limited suspension facilities are possible in certain areas. Work in
the roof structure may only be carried out by Leipziger Messe service partners.
For the Hall 1-5 the maximum load per point is 100 kg, only perpendicular
and with a maximum distributed load of 7 kg per m2 of stand area. At the
Congress Center Leipzig CCL suspension facilities with maximum load 150
kg per Point and perpendicular on defined positions in the roof structure are
possible. At the Glashall suspension facilities with maximum 500 kg per Point
and only radial on defined positions in the roof structure are possible. Higher
loads and alternativ positions only on enquiry. An O-ring interface is provided
as interconnection point at the end height specified by the customer.

Die Ausstellungshallen der Leipziger Messe bieten die Möglichkeit, flexibel Abhängungen aus dem Dachtragwerk herzustellen. Aufgrund baulicher Gegebenheiten sind Abhängungen in bestimmten Bereichen jedoch nur eingeschränkt
möglich. Die Arbeiten im Dachtragwerk dürfen nur von den Servicepartnern
der Leipziger Messe durchgeführt werden. In den Hallen 1-5 beträgt die
Belastung pro Punkt maximal 100 kg, nur lotrecht mit einer maximalen
Flächenlast von 7 kg pro m2 Standfläche. Im Congress Center Leipzig CCL
in den Sälen 1-3 sind Abhängungen am definierten Positionen im Dachtragwerk mit einer Belastung pro Punkt von 150 kg lotrecht möglich. In der Eingangshalle West (Glashalle) sind Hängepunkte an definierten Positionen im
Deckentragwerk mit einer Belastung von max. 500 kg radial möglich. Höhere
Lasteinträge oder abweichende Hängepunktpositionen in allen Hallen nur auf
Anfrage. Als Schnittstelle steht ein O-Ring als Übergabepunkt auf Endhöhe
nach Kundenwunsch zur Verfügung.

3. Hinweise für die Nutzung von Arbeitsbühnen | Notes on the use of working platforms
3.1. Die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften BGR 500 sind einzuhalten. Diese werden bei der
Übergabe ausgehändigt.
3.1. The Accident Prevention Regulations (BGR 500) must be observed. These will be
issued when the working platform is handed over.
3.2. Die Übergabe/Übernahme erfolgt generell schriftlich mit vorbereitetem Protokoll
durch die Leipziger Messe (im Folgenden: Vermieter), bzw. dessen beauftragten
Servicepartner. Dieser ist rechtzeitig über die Rückgabe zu informieren.
3.2. The hand-over/acceptance of working platforms will generally be performed by
Leipziger Messe (hereafter: lessor) or Leipziger Messe’s authorised service partner
in writing, using prepared minutes. The lessor must be informed of the return of the
working platforms in a timely manner.
3.3. Die Bedienung der Geräte darf nur von Personen erfolgen, die durch den Vermieter
eingewiesen wurden.
3.4. Die Parameter der Bühnen sind einzuhalten, die Bühnen sind nur bestimmungsgemäß einzusetzen. Die Bedienungsanleitung nebst Wartungs- und Sicherheitshinweisen liegen dem Gerät bei. Diesen ist stets Folge zu leisten.
3.5. Das Arbeiten mit Bühnen über Bereichen, in denen sich Menschen aufhalten, ist
untersagt.
3.4. The operating parameters of the working platforms must be observed. The working platforms may only be used in accordance with the regulations.The operating manual, along with maintenance and safety information, is included with the
equipment, and must be observed at all times.
3.6. Eine Weitergabe an Dritte ist nicht gestattet.
3.5. The use of working platforms above areas where people are standing is prohibited.
3.7. Bei Stillstand sind Geräte gegen Benutzung Unberechtigter und gegen Beschädigungen jeglicher Art zu sichern.
3.6. Working platforms may not be passed on to third parties.
3.8. Der Betrieb außerhalb des Betriebsgeländes ist nicht gestattet. Transporte außerhalb des Betriebsgeländes werden ausschließlich durch den Vermieter ausgeführt.
3.9. Die Geräte werden betankt und mit Betriebs- und Schmierstoffen befüllt übergeben. Durch den Mieter sind vor Inbetriebnahme die entsprechenden Betriebsstoffe
zu kontrollieren. Schäden aufgrund Nichtbeachtung der Mindestfüllmengen und
Kontrollen gehen zu Lasten des Mieters.
3.10. Der Mieter haftet in vollem Umfang für die Mietsache und Schäden, die aus dem
Betrieb der Mietsache entstehen. Dies betrifft Personen- wie auch Sachschäden.
3.11. Gibt der Mieter die Mietsache nicht in vertragsgemäßem Zustand zurück, hat der
Mieter die Reinigungs- und/oder Reparaturkosten zu tragen. Für die Reparaturdauer
und/oder Reinigungszeit hat der Mieter einen pauschalen Schadenersatz in Höhe
von 180 % des täglichen Mietpreises gemäß der gültigen Preisliste zu zahlen. Der
Nachweis eines fehlenden oder geringeren Schadens bleibt dem Mieter vorbehalten.
3.12. Der Mieter ist nicht berechtigt, selbst oder durch Dritte Reparaturen an der Mietsache durchführen zu lassen.
3.13. Bei Unfall oder Verlust der Mietsache ist die Polizei zu rufen. Der Vermieter ist bei
jedem Schadensfall unverzüglich zu benachrichtigen.
3.14. Beim Einsatz ist darauf zu achten, dass durch Reifen oder Abstützungen keine
Schäden oder Nutzungsspuren entstehen.

3.3. Working platforms may only be operated by persons who have been instructed in
their use by the lessor.
3.15. Die Bodenbelastung in den jeweiligen Objekten ist einzuhalten. Die Daten erhalten Sie beim Vermieter.
3.16. Es sind für die notwendige Lastverteilung die entsprechend großen Lastverteilungsplatten für die Abstützungen einzusetzen.
3.17. Bei Arbeiten in den Hallen sind grundsätzlich die Elektromotoren zu nutzen. Die
Verbrennungsmotoren sind nur bei Zu- und Abfahrten einzusetzen.
3.7. When not in use, the working platforms are to be safeguarded against use by unauthorised persons and protected from any type of damage.
3.8. Use outside the designated operating area is not permitted. Transport outside the
designated operating area may only be carried out by the lessor.
3.9. The platforms shall be handed over refuelled and filled with lubricants and other
consumables. Before the platform is brought into operation, the hirer must check
the appropriate consumables. The hirer shall be responsible for any damage resulting from the failure to observe minimum fill levels and monitoring activities.
3.10. The hirer shall be fully liable for the item hired and any damage to property or
personal injury resulting from the operation of this item.
3.11. If the hirer does not return the subject of the lease in the condition as agreed in the
contract , the hirer shall bear the cleaning and/or repair costs. For the period of the
repair and/or cleaning, the hirer shall pay fixed damages amounting to 180 % of
the daily lease charge according to the applicable price list. The hirer reserves the
right to prove that no damages or lower damages are due.
3.12. The hirer is not entitled to carry out repairs to the subject of the lease or to let third
parties carry them out.
3.13. The police shall be called in case of accident or loss of the subject of the lease. The
lessor shall be notified immediately upon each occurence of damage or loss.
3.14. During use, every effort must be made to ensure that neither the tyres nor the
stabilisers leave any damage or marks.
3.15. The load-bearing capacity of the floor/ground of the various sites must be observed.
Exact information is available from the lessor.
3.16. Sufficiently large load distribution slabs are to be used for the stabilisers.
3.17. It is a strict rule that only electric motors are to be used whilst working in the halls.
Combustion motors may be used only for driving to and from the halls.

5. Hinweise zur Wasserinstallation | Notes on water installation
5.1 Der Anschluss an das Netz der Leipziger Messe erfolgt ausschließlich durch die
Vertragsfirmen der Leipziger Messe.
5.1 Connection to the Leipziger Messe water mains will be carried out solely by the
Leipziger Messe contracted company.
5.2 Alle Installationen innerhalb der Stände müssen der aktuellen gültigen Trink
wasserverordnung entsprechen, so dass durch Installation und Betrieb eines An
schlusses eine nachteilige Beeinflussung der Trinkwasserqualität ausgeschlossen
wird (Arbeiten nur durch zugelassenen Installateur).
Bei Nichtbeachtung der gültigen Bestimmungen ist die Vertragsfirma der Leipziger
Messe verpflichtet, den Anschluss an das Versorgungsnetz abzulehnen.
5.2
5.3 Für den Anschluss von Geräten und Maschinen steht im Allgemeinen ein Wasser
druck von 0,4 MPa zur Verfügung. Wird ein höherer Wasserdruck benötigt, so ist
vom Aussteller auf seine Kosten eine Druckerhöhungsanlage einbauen zu lassen.
5.3 A water pressure of 0.4 MPa is generally available for appliances/machinery.
Exhibitors may have boosters installed at their own expense if higher pressures are
required.
5.4 Für Ausfälle des Wasserversorgungsnetzes übernimmt die Leipziger Messe ebenso
wenig Haftung wie für Druckschwankungen und daraus bedingte Störungen an
Geräten oder Anlagen.
5.4 Leipziger Messe accepts no liability for cuts in the water supply, variations in
pressure, or equipment or system breakdowns cause by these.
5.5Bei Ausfallen des Standanschlusses ist umgehend der Halleninspektor zu
informieren. Bei Störungen im Stand können gegen Berechnung unsere Vertrags
firmen in Anspruch genommen werden.
5.6 Der Wasserverbrauch bis 4 m3/Tag ist im Preis für den Hauptanschluss enthalten.
Bei einem Wasserverbrauch ab 4 m3/Tag (z. B. Maschinen) wird durch den Vertrags
betrieb eine Zähleinrichtung installiert. Der Mehrverbrauch ist kostenpflichtig.
All installations within the stands have to conform to the currently valid drinking
water ordinance, so that the installation and operation of a connection does not
lead to an unfavourable impact of the drinking water quality (work may only be
performed by an authorised installer).
In the event valid provisions were disregarded, the company contacted to the
Leipziger Messe is obligated to reject a connection to the mains supply.
5.5 In the event of a failure in the water supply on the stand the hall manager must
be informed immediately. Faults on the stand can be repaired by our contractors at
the exhibitor‘s expense.
5.6
Water consumption up to 4 m3/day is included in the price for connection to the
mains. For rates of water consumption higher than 4 m3/day (e.g. machinery) the
authorised contractor will install a meter and a charge will be made for the
additional amount consumed.
5.7 Aussteller mit Cateringbetrieb müssen einen Fettabscheider einsetzen. Bei Nichtbe
achtung werden entstehende Verunreinigungen im Abwassersystem dem Verur
sacher in Rechnung gestellt.
5.7 Exhibitors with their own catering must use a grease collector. Exhibitors who fail
to do so will be charged for all fouling in the waste water system as a result.

Auf dem Leipziger Messegelände steht Ihnen eine moderne Informations- und Kommunikationsinfrastruktur zur Verfügung, die Ihnen umfangreiche Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten bietet.

Der Telefonanschluss Punkt 1.1 wird inklusive Endgerät aus einer privaten Nebenstellenanlage zur Verfügung gestellt. Die speziellen Leistungsmerkmale der Anlage
erfragen Sie bitte vor der Bestellung unter der Service-Nr.: 0341 678-9900. Bestellen
Sie mehr als einen Anschluss, können diese sowohl als Einzelanschluss als auch als
Sammelanschluss geschaltet werden.

The telephone connection Item 1.1 is provided with a terminal from a private
branch exchange. Information regarding the special features of this equipment
can be obtained prior to ordering by phoning the service number 0341 678-9900.
If you are ordering more than one connection, they can be switched as individual
connections as well as collective lines.

Der Anschluss an das Internet erfolgt über das Aussteller-Netzwerk der Leipziger
Messe, vorzugsweise mit 10/100 Mbit/s nach dem Ethernet-Standard und RJ45Steckverbinder. Es können auch andere Anschlussbedingungen (z. B. LWL-Steckverbinder) realisiert werden. Das Ausstellernetzwerk ist mit einem GigaBit-EthernetBackbone ausgerüstet. Pro Artikel wird ein Anschlusspunkt bedient. Es wird eine
synchrone Datenrate zur Verfügung gestellt.

Connection to the Internet will be effected via the exhibitors’ network of
Leipziger Messe, preferably with 10/100 Mbit/s as per the Ethernet standard and
RJ45 plug connector. It is also possible to implement other connection standards,
such as LWL plug connectors. The network is set up with a gigabit Ethernet backbone. One connection point is serviced per item. A synchronous data rate is provided.

Customers using an internet connection supplied by Leipziger Messe are responsible for ensuring that their use of the internet does not constitute any legal breaches.
Leipziger Messe must be indemnified against all claims which are directed against
Leipziger Messe due to legal breaches committed as a result of internet access.
12. Das Netzwerk wird mit aufwändiger Managementtechnik überwacht, so dass Störungen sofort erkannt und schnellstmöglich beseitigt werden können.

Die Leistungen der Punkte 2.1 und 2.3 beinhalten die mietweise Bereitstellung einer
IPTV-Set-Top-Box (inkl. Fernbedienung) zur Anschaltung eines Fernseh-/Rundfunkempfängers für die durch die Leipziger Messe eingespeisten Sender. Hier können
Fernseh-/Rundfunkempfänger an einen SCART-/HDMI/Cinch – Anschluss angeschlossen werden. Die Installation des Anschlusses erfolgt jeweils von der Übertragungsstelle bis zum Stand. Eine Verteilung innerhalb des Standes ist darin nicht enthalten
oder vorgesehen.

Die Leistung „2.2 Eigene Videoübertragung” beinhaltet die mietweise Bereitstellung eines IPTV-Encoders zur Einspeisung eines Videosignals ins IPTV-Netz der
Leipziger Messe.
Folgende Signale können verarbeitet werden:
SD: SDI-Signal (Audio embedded), FBAS-Signal (Audio über XLR)
HD: HD-SDI-Signal (Audio embedded)
Die Empfangsmöglichkeit des eingespeisten Signals entnehmen Sie dem obigen
Punkt 15.

All services include installation of the connections, loan of equipment and dismantling after the end of the event.
Services provided under items 2.1 and 2.3 include a IPTV connection with a set top
box (incl. remote control unit) to one television or radio set for stations broadcast
via the Leipziger Messe network. Here, television or radio sets can be connected to
a SCART/ HDMI/Cinch connector.
The connection will be installed from the outside source as far as the stand. A junction box within the stand is neither included nor intended.
The service “2.2 Own video transmission” includes the rental of an IPTV encoder to
feed a video signal into the IPTV network of Leipziger Messe.
The following signals can be processed:
SD: SDI signal (audio-embedded), FBAS signal (audio via XLR)
HD: HD-SDI signal (audio-embedded)
For receiving options regarding the fed signal, please see Item 15 above.
17. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die zur Verfügung gestellten Geräte nach Beendigung der
Messe/Veranstaltung von unserem Servicepartner am Messestand gegen Quittung
entgegengenommen werden. Der Nachweis für eine korrekte Rückgabe der Geräte
in ordnungsgemäßem Zustand ist im Zweifelsfall vom Aussteller zu erbringen. Im
Ausnahmefall teilen Sie uns Ihren Rückgabewunsch bitte unter der Servicenummer
0341 678-1172 mit.

18. Für abhanden gekommene oder zerstörte Geräte, auch Zubehör (z. B. Fernbedienung), ist der zum Zeitpunkt der Wiederbeschaffung gültige Listenpreis des Herstellers maßgeblich, bei Beschädigung der Geräte sind die Reparaturkosten zuzüglich
einer 10-prozentigen Aufwandsentschädigung zu zahlen.
18. Equipment which is lost or damaged beyond repair, including accessories (e.g. remote control unit), is to be paid for at the manufacturer‘s list price at the time
of replacement. In the event of damage to equipment, repair costs plus a 10 %
handling free will be charged.
19. Der Aussteller übernimmt die Haftung für Verlust, Beschädigung oder Zerstörung
aller ihm zur Verfügung gestellten Geräte. Die Rückgabe der Geräte hat spätestens
bis zum Ende der Abbauzeit zu erfolgen.

7. Bedingungen für Standreinigungsarbeiten | Conditions for stand cleaning services
7.1 Nur schriftliche Bestellungen und Abmachungen sind verbindlich. Mündliche oder fernmündliche
Vereinbarungen bedürfen einer schriftlichen Bestätigung.
7.2 Eine termingerechte Ausführung der Arbeiten kann nur dann ordnungsgemäß gewährleistet
werden, wenn der Standaufbau 12 Stunden vor Messe-/Ausstellungsbeginn beendet ist. Dienst
leistungen in größerem Umfang sind rechtzeitig vorher bekannt zu geben. Höhere Gewalt,
Betriebsstörungen und sonstige Schwierigkeiten in der Personalbeschaffung, die der Auftrag
nehmer nicht zu vertreten hat, entbinden in dem Umfang der Behinderung von den einge
gangenen Verpflichtungen des Auftrages.
7.3 Beanstandungen sind vom Auftraggeber sorfort, jedoch spätestens bis zur täglichen Messe
öffnungszeit (9:00 Uhr) schriftlich oder telefonisch unter Angabe der Messehalle und der Stand
nummer beim Auftragnehmer (Reinigungsunternehmen, Telefon: 0341 678-6993) anzuzeigen.
Ansonsten gilt die Reinigung mit dem täglichen Messebeginn als ordnungsgemäß abgenommen.
7.4 Der Auftragnehmer und sein Personal sind gegen Haftpflicht- und Obhutschäden versichert.
Eventuelle Schäden sind sofort in zweifacher Ausfertigung schriftlich dem Auftragnehmer zu
melden.
7.5 Die in der Preisliste genannten Nettopreise sind für beide Teile verbindlich. Dazu kommt die USt.
zum jeweils geltenden Steuersatz. In der Preistafel nicht aufgeführte Sonderarbeiten sind in den
angegebenen Preisen nicht inbegriffen und werden gesondert berechnet. Jede angefangene
halbe Stunde bei Stundenlohnarbeiten wird voll berechnet. Für die Berechnung der Preise für
die Standreinigungen sind die in den offiziellen Objektplänen angegebenen Bruttoflächen maß
gebend. Bei mehrstöckigen Ständen werden die weiteren Flächen entsprechend den tatsächlich
zu reinigenden Flächen zusätzlich berechnet. Die entsprechend der Standgröße gestaffelten
Nachlässe beziehen sich nur auf die normale Standreinigung während der Messe-/Ausstellungs
dauer, also nicht auf Grundreinigungen, Glasreinigungen sowie Sonderreinigungen.
7.6 Der Betrag für die normale Standreinigung an den Messe-/Ausstellungstagen ist bei der
Auftragserteilung bzw. Auftragsbestätigung fällig. Die sonstigen Beträge für Glasreinigung und
Sonderarbeiten können nach Ausführung der Arbeiten während der Laufzeit der Messe/
Ausstellung kassiert werden. Da alle Leistungen überwiegend lohnintensiver Natur sind, kann
Skonto nicht gewährt werden.
7.7 Gerichtsstand und Erfüllungsort für beide Teile ist Leipzig. Von diesen Bedingungen abweichende
Geschäftsbedingungen in den Bestellungen sind unwirksam.

7.1 Only written orders and agreements are binding. Arrangements made verbally or by telephone
require confirmation in writing.
7.2 A guarantee that work will be carried out properly and by the time requested can only be given
if the setting up of the stand has been completed at least 12 hours before the start of the trade
fair/exhibition. Any additional services must be ordered in advance and in good time. The
contractors accept no liability for cases of force majeure, hold-ups or shortage of personnel for
which they are not responsible, and in such cases shall be released from their contractual
obligations.
7.3 If the customer has any complaints he/she must inform the cleaning contractor by telephone
+49 341 678-6993 or in writing immediately and no later than the daily opening time of the
trade fair (9 a.m.), stating the exhibition hall and stand number, otherwise when the trade fair
opens the cleaning will be deemed to have been carried out properly.
7.4 The contractors and their staff have taken out liability insurance and insurance against loss and
damage and must be notified immediately in writing (in duplicate) of any damage that occurs.
7.5 The price list is binding for both contracting parties. Prices are strictly net and are subject to the
current rate of VAT. Any special services not described in the price list are not included in the
prices given and will be charged separately.
Where hourly rates apply, each half hour or part thereof will be charged for in full. Prices for stand
cleaning are based on the gross areas specified in the official plans. The additional areas to be
cleaned in multi-storey stands will be charged according to the actual area in m2.
Discounts for stand size apply only to standard daily cleaning during the event and not to
thorough cleaning after the stand has been set up or cleaning of glass or other special cleaning
services.
7.6 Charges for standard daily cleaning during the event are due when the order is placed/confirmed.
Charges for glass cleaning, basic cleaning after the stand has been set up and special services
may be collected upon completion of work during the event. Discounts cannot be granted as all
these services involve high labour costs.
7.7
Leipzig shall be the place of jurisdiction and performance for both contracting parties. Any
conditions included in orders and deviating from these conditions shall be null and void.

1. Entsorgung | Waste disposal
1.1 Der während der Veranstaltung, bei der Montage oder Demontage des
Standes anfallende Abfall bzw. Reststoff ist vom Aussteller zu beseitigen.
Die in diesem Zusammenhang anfallenden Kosten sind vom Aussteller zu
tragen.
1.2 Aufgrund gesetzlicher Vorschriften ist der Verursacher verpflichtet, für
die sachgerechte Beseitigung Sorge zu tragen (Gesetz zur Vermeidung,
Verwertung und Beseitigung von Abfällen vom 27.09.1994, BGB/I,
S. 2705).
1.3 Die Ausstellungsfläche sollte nach Standabbau dem Halleninspektor
besenrein übergeben werden. Für Abfälle und Materialien, die während
der vorgegebenen Abbauzeit zurückgelassen werden, wird eine erhöhte
Strafgebühr von 150 E/Behälter für die Entsorgung fällig.
1.1 Rubbish and waste materials which accumulate during the event or
during the setting up and dismantling of stands are to be removed by the
exhibitor. All costs incurred are to be borne by the exhibitor.
1.2 Legal regulations stipulate that the polluter is obliged to ensure proper
disposal (Act on the Minimisation, Recycling and Disposal of Waste
dated 27 September 1994, Civil Code/I, p. 2705).
1.3
The exhibition area must be swept clean before being surrendered to
the Hall Manager. A higher surcharge of 150 E/container will be charged
for any rubbish and materials left behind during the predetermined
period for dismantling.

A
Innerhalb des Messegeländes stehen nur begrenzt Stellflächen für PKW/PKWAnhänger (bis 3,5 t bzw. bis 5,00 m Länge) zur Verfügung.
B
Parkplätze für LKW, LKW-Anhänger, Sattelauflieger, Busse, Transporter, Container
oder Wechselbrücken (über 3,5 t bzw. über 5,00 m Länge) können nur außerhalb
des Messegeländes auf dem LKW-Parkplatz bereitgestellt werden. Die Berechnung
dieser Stellflächengebühren erfolgt jeweils für maximal 6 Messetage.
Parkplätze für Wohnmobile und Wohnanhänger werden nur außerhalb des Messegeländes als Stellflächen ohne Versorgung oder Entsorgung auf den Besucherparkplätzen P1 oder P2 zur Verfügung gestellt.

There are only a limited number of parking spaces for cars/trailers (up to 3.5 t or up
to 5 metres in length) within the Exhibition Centre site.

Parking spaces for lorries, trailers, semi-trailers, busses, vans, containers or swap
trailers over 3.5 tonnes or more than 5 metres in length will only be available
outside the exhibition site, in the lorry parking area. Parking fees for this area are
charged for a maximum of 6 trade fair days.
Parking spaces for caravans and caravan trailers are available only outside the
Exhibition Centre site, in visitors´ car park P1 or P2, as parking spaces without
mains services or waste disposal facilities.

3.1. Reservierungen werden vom Bewirtschafter der Parkplätze nach den jeweils vorhandenen Parkmöglichkeiten außerhalb und zum Teil auch innerhalb des unmittelbaren Ausstellungsgeländes (nur für PKW) vorgenommen.
3.1. Reservations are made by the parking areas supervisor according to the parking
spaces available outside and in some cases (for cars only) inside the actual Exhibition Centre site.
3.2. Der Versand der Parkscheine inkl. Lieferschein erfolgt bis sieben Tage vor Messebeginn durch den Bewirtschafter.
3.2. Parking permits incl. delivery note will be mailed to you by the management
7 days before the fair opens.
3.3. Geht die Bestellung nach diesem Termin ein, so kann der Parkschein gegen Barzahlung, mit einem Aufschlag von 1,00 E auf den Bruttopreis pro Parkschein und
Tag, einen Tag vor der Veranstaltung am Verkaufscounter im Last-MinuteBereich abgeholt werden. Der Verkaufscounter wird am ersten Messetag 12:00
Uhr geschlossen und der Verkauf von Dauerparkscheinen eingestellt. Ab diesem
Zeitpunkt bitte die Besucherparkplätze P1 oder P2 mit Tagesparkschein nutzen.
3.3. If your order is received after this deadline, the parking permit can be collected and
paid for at the sales counter in the Last Minute Area on the day before the event.
Please note that a surchage of E 1.00 on the gross price per parking permit and per
day will be applied. The sales counter will close at 12 noon on the first day of the
trade fair and no long-stay parking permits will be issued after this time. From this
time onward please use visitors’ car park P1 or P2 and purchase day tickets.
3.4. Ein kostenfreier Rücktritt von Ihrer Bestellung ist bis drei Tage vor Messebeginn
möglich und schriftlich mitzuteilen. Erfolgt die Stornierung ab drei Tage vor Messebeginn oder erfolgt keine Stornierung der Bestellung, werden Ihnen die Gebühren
in voller Höhe durch die Leipziger Messe in Rechnung gestellt.
3.4. You may cancel your order up to 3 days before the start of the trade fair. Notice of
cancellation must be given in writing. If the cancellation is made less than 3 days
before the start of the trade fair or if the order is not cancelled, Leipziger Messe
will invoice you for the full amount of the parking charges.
3.5. Das Parkplatzkontrollpersonal garantiert die ordnungsgemäße Einweisung und
Abstellung der Fahrzeuge. Für Personen- und Sachschäden sowie bei Diebstahl
von oder aus Fahrzeugen wird keine Haftung übernommen.
3.5. Parking area staff ensure that vehicles are guided in and parked properly. No liability is accepted for damage to persons/property and for theft of vehicles/property
from vehicles.
3.6. Während der Messelaufzeit ist das Parken in den Halleninnenhöfen verboten
(Feuerwehr-Evakuierungsflächen).
3.6. Parking in the courtyards between the halls is prohibited for the duration of the
trade fair (emergency evacuation areas).
3.7. Die Stellflächengebühr wird für die tägliche Parkzeit während der Messe von 7:00
- 19:00 Uhr berechnet. In den übrigen Zeiten unterliegen die Parkplätze der Leipziger Messe keiner Bewirtschaftung.
3.7. The parking fee is calculated on the basis of a parking period from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00
p.m. daily. At all other times the Leipziger Messe parking areas are unsupervised.
3.8. No fee will be charged for parking during the periods of setting-up and dismantling. The access permit required for this can be obtained at the Exhibition Centre
entrance gate.

2. Hinweise | Notes
2.1Als Leergut können nur tatsächlich leere Packstücke bezeichnet und
berechnet werden. Das Verpackungsmaterial muss transportfähig, gegebenenfalls gebündelt, am Stand bereitgehalten werden. Der Preis
bezieht sich ausschließlich auf Leergut. Die Leistung umfasst Ab- und
Antransport sowie Lagerung während der Veranstaltung.

2.2Alle Leergüter/Packmittel müssen mit Anschrift der Firma, Messehalle
und Standnummer bezeichnet sein, da sonst eine ordnungsgemäße Rück führung nicht gewährleistet werden kann.

3. Allgemeine Deutsche Spediteurbedingungen (ADSp) – neueste Fassung | General Conditions for German Freight (ADSp) – latest version
3.1 Für alle Aufträge der Aussteller an den Messespediteur gelten die Allge meinen Deutschen Spediteurbedingungen (ADSp-neueste Fassung), die
Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen der Bundesfachgruppe Schwer transporte und Kranarbeiten (BSK) und der Spediteurtarif für Messen und
Ausstellungen in Leipzig.
3.1
All orders placed by exhibitors with the trade fair haulage contractor
shall be subject to the General Conditions for German Freight (ADSp) –
latest version, the General Terms and Conditions of the Federal Heavy
Transport and Crane Work Association (BSK) and the Freight Rates for
trade fairs and exhibitions in Leipzig.
3.2 Für alle Schäden und Folgeschäden, die durch unrichtige Gewichtsan gaben (Einzelgewichte) entstehen, haftet ausschließlich der Aussteller.
3.2 The exhibitor shall be exclusively liable for all damages (including conse
quential damage) arising from inaccurate weight information (individual
weights).
3.3Der Messespediteur kann nach erfolgter Auftragserteilung unter
Wahrung der Interessen des Ausstellers in Einzelfällen nach ihrem Er messen handeln, wenn von seiten des Ausstellers kein Beauftragter am
Stand anwesend ist. Dieses gilt auch beim Einsatz der Krane und Hub stapler. Auch die nicht bescheinigten Leistungen müssen in besonderen
Fällen, falls der Einsatz im Interesse des Gutes erforderlich war, nach dem
Messetarif honoriert werden.
3.3 Once an order has been placed, in individual cases the trade fair haulage
contractor may act at his discretion, whilst protecting the interests of
the exhibitor, if no authorised representative of the exhibitor is present
on the stand. This shall also apply to the use of cranes and forklifts. Work
for which there is no written confirmation must also be paid for in accordance with the trade fair tariff in particular cases, if the use of this
service was deemed necessary in the interest of the goods.
3.4 Die Haftung des Messespediteurs endet mit dem Abstellen der Aus stellungsgüter am Stand des Ausstellers, auch dann, wenn der Aussteller
oder sein Beauftragter nicht anwesend sind. Beim Rücktransport be ginnt die Haftung erst mit der Abholung der im Stand vorhandenen
Güter, auch dann, wenn die Versandpapiere schon vorher im Büro des
Messespediteurs abgegeben wurden.
3.4
The liability of the haulage contractor shall end when the exhibition
goods are deposited at the exhibitor‘s stand, even if the exhibitor or his/
her authorised representative is not present. For the return journey it
shall begin only from the point of collection of the goods remaining on
the stand, even if the dispatch papers have already been handed in beforehand to the office of the trade fair shipping agency.
3.5 Die Rechnungen sind ohne jeden Abzug sofort nach Rechnungserhalt
zu zahlen. Die Messespedition ist berechtigt, die Auslagen und Ge bühren während der Laufzeit der Veranstaltung zu kassieren, zumindest
in Form einer Akontozahlung.
3.5 Invoices shall be paid immediately upon receipt, without deductions.
The trade fair haulage contractor is entitled to collect disbursements and
fees during the period of the event, at least in the form of payment on
account.
3.6 Der Speditionstarif für Messen und Ausstellungen liegt bei der aufge führten Messespedition aus und wird auf Anforderung zugestellt.
3.6 The haulage contractor hold copies of the Forwarding Agents‘ Tariff for
Trade Fair and Exhibitions, and these may be inspected on request.
3.7 Diese Firma übt im Messegelände das alleinige Speditionsrecht aus,
d. h. Verbringen von Exponaten, Standaufbauten usw. in den Stand inkl.
Gestellung evtl. Hilfsgeräte sowie Zollabfertigung zur temporären bzw.
definitiven Einfuhr.
3.7
3.8 Hebefahrzeuge anderer Speditionsfirmen oder der Aussteller sind aus
Sicherheitsgründen nicht zugelassen.
3.8 For reasons of safety, lifting vehicles belonging to other shipping agencies
or to exhibitors are not admitted to the Exhibition Centre.
3.9 Eine Haftung der Leipziger Messe für alle Risiken, die sich aus der Tätig keit der Speditionsfirma ergeben können, ist ausgeschlossen.
3.9 Leipziger Messe can accept no responsibility for any risks arising from the
activities of the haulage contractor.
Within the Exhibition Centre, only this company is appointed haulage
contractor, i.e. licensed to deliver exhibits, stand assemblies, etc.
to the stand including supplying any auxiliary equipment and dealing
with customs clearance for temporary or permanent importation.

General Terms and Conditions of Business and hire of FAIRNET GmbH,
the company providing services for trade fairs, exhibitions and other events
1. Conclusion of contract
1.1 The following “General Terms and Conditions of Business and Hire” of FAIRNET GmbH
apply to all service and hire contracts. Customers’ own terms and conditions which
contradict these terms and conditions are disallowed. Any modifications or supplementary agreements shall apply only after confirmation has been given in writing by FAIRNET
GmbH.
1.2 All orders must be made in writing. All orders received by the proper deadline will be
confirmed by FAIRNET GmbH in writing at least four weeks before the start of the
event. If the customer has not received confirmation in writing from FAIRNET GmbH
four weeks before the start of the event, he/she must inform FAIRNET GmbH immediately.
7.
7.1
2. Manner of transfer for use
2.1 The customer is aware that as a rule all items for hire are used for exhibition purposes
on several occasions and are therefore not always as new.
2.2 Items for hire are made available only for the sole use of the customer for the agreed
purpose at the agreed location and for the duration of the event. The transfer of hired
items to third parties is not permitted.
8.2
2.3 All plans, drafts, drawings, assembly and installation documentation and all rights to
these shall remain the property of FAIRNET GmbH, even when they have been handed
over to the customer.
2.4 On delivery of the hired items the customer must check that they are in good condition,
roadworthy and complete.
2.5 The customer must give a receipt for the provision of the service/receipt of the hired
items. At the time of handover/receipt he/she must give notice in writing of any faults
found at this juncture. If he/she fails to do this, the service provided/hired items shall
be deemed to be free of defects. This shall also apply to defects which the customer
could have found if he/she had acted more in accordance with the regulations. For the
rest, complaints regarding services must be made immediately.
2.6 Orders which have been received by FAIRNET GmbH before the proper deadline will
be supplied in good time so that the service/hired item is available before the start of
the event.
2.7 If the exhibition stand is not manned at the time of delivery, a proper transfer of the
hired items shall be deemed to have taken place if the items are left on the stand.
2.8 There is no obligation on the part of FAIRNET GmbH to check that the person on the
stand to which the items are delivered is authorised to accept them.
2.9 Confirmation in writing from FAIRNET GmbH is expressly required in order for delivery
times and special requests to become effective.
3. Liability for defects
3.1 The rights of the customer with regard to defects presuppose that the customer has
fulfilled in a proper manner his/her obligations with regard to checking and registering
a complaint as per § 377 of the Commercial Code (HGB).
3.2 If there is a defect in the service/hired item, FAIRNET GmbH is entitled to fulfil the
order subsequently either by making good the defect or by supplying a new service/
replacement hired item which is free of defects, at the company’s discretion. The provision of a new hired item is excluded if the defective hired item has already been used.
The costs of making good the defect will be borne by FAIRNET GmbH.
3.3 The limitation period for claims arising from a defect is 12 months, calculated from the
date of acceptance of the service/receipt of the hired item.
4. Prices
4.1 The prices as stated in the price lists are net. VAT will be charged at the current rate.
The prices apply for the duration of the event.
4.2 The price includes the costs of transport to and from the Exhibition Centre and of any
assembly or dismantling which may be necessary, unless these costs are shown separately.
5. Deviations from the details given in the catalogue
5.1 All dimensions given in the catalogue are approximate. FAIRNET GmbH reserves the
right to supply hired items which vary in size, shape and colour from the items ordered
insofar as this is reasonable for the hirer. The items supplied must be of an equivalent
or better type.
6. Terms of payment
6.1 Invoices issued by FAIRNET GmbH are due for payment within eight days from the date
of invoice. Irrespective of this, FAIRNET GmbH reserves the right to present invoices
during the trade fair which are to be paid immediately by cash, non-negotiable cheque,
Eurocheque card or credit card. Collection will be made by authorised representatives
of FAIRNET GmbH. If payment is delayed, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to prove
that he/she received the invoice late.
6.2 Payment of invoices should be made by bank transfer into the account named on the
invoice, without any deduction and quoting the customer and invoice numbers. If
invoices are sent on the instruction of the customer to a third party, the customer
nevertheless remains liable for payment.
6.3 If the order transaction takes place within an event organised by FAIRNET GmbH and
the customer does not pay/does not pay in due time, he/she shall forfeit his/her right
to participate in the event, regardless of the continued obligation on him/her to pay.
If the customer is a dealer, interest is payable as from the due date at a rate of eight
percentage points p.a. above the effective base lending rate. Interest on arrears at the
statutory rate is payable from the date of default.

Delay in taking delivery on the part of the customer
If there is a delay on the part of the customer in accepting delivery, he/she nevertheless
remains under an obligation to pay.
For the rest, in the event of delay in accepting delivery the customer is under an
obligation to make good any loss to FAIRNET GmbH arising from this. FAIRNET GmbH
reserves the right to make further claims.
Liability on the part of the hirer
The customer is liable for damage to and loss of the items supplied to him/her. His/her
own fault shall be on the same footing as that of the other persons employed in
performing the obligation for which he is vicariously liable or that of his vicarious
agents, relations and mandatees.
Hired items which are damaged or broken or lost will be repaired or replaced by
FAIRNET GmbH at the customer’s expense at cost price.
FAIRNET GmbH must be notified immediately of any damage. It is recommended that
an exhibitor’s insurance policy should be taken out for hired items. In particular FAIRNET
GmbH stresses the risk of theft.
The customer is under an obligation to handle hired items with care. Hired items may
not be glued, nailed, painted or otherwise damaged. Without the prior consent of
FAIRNET GmbH, the hirer is not entitled to make any modifications to the items
supplied. Identification marks may not be removed by the hirer.
The customer must make hired items available for collection immediately after the end
of the event.
If the customer delays the return of hired items, FAIRNET GmbH shall be entitled to
prepare these items for removal at the cost and risk of the hirer. It will be presupposed
that the hirer consents to this being done.
Any defects noted by FAIRNET GmbH in the hired items when they are returned will
be notified to the hirer immediately. If the hirer does not object in writing within one
week of receipt of the report, the observations will be regarded as having been
accepted.
Liability on the part of FAIRNET GmbH
FAIRNET GmbH shall be liable in accordance with the statutory regulations. In the event
of minor negligence FAIRNET GmbH shall only be liable if important contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) are infringed and only for damages which are of a
contractual nature and foreseeable. Liability for personal damages and in accordance
with the Product Liability Act shall remain unaffected.
10. Final clauses
10.1 In the event of individual provisions or clauses being ineffective, the effectiveness of
the “General Terms and Conditions of Business and Hire” shall remain unaffected.
10.2 The German version of these “General Terms and Conditions of Business and Hire” is
the sole legally binding version. All agreements, authorisations and verbal collateral
agreements require the written form to become effective. This shall also apply to any
change in the preceding sentence.
10.3 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The application of the provisions
of the international law on sales (CISG) to this contract is excluded.
10.4 Claims for compensation on the part of FAIRNET GmbH on account of modifications
made to or deterioration of the hired items shall become barred by the Statute of
Limitations one year from the date on which the hired items are returned to and received by FAIRNET GmbH. Before the items are returned, claims for compensation of
this type shall become statute-barred only 30 years from the date on which they arise.
10.5 If the customer does not give FAIRNET GmbH his/her new address and if FAIRNET
GmbH is also unable to ascertain this by a search of appropriate addresses, the limitation shall be suspended. FAIRNET GmbH must repeat the search for the address after
approximately one, two and four years. The duration of the limitation shall amount to
a maximum of five years. The customer shall be obliged to bear the cost of the search(es).
10.6 The place of performance and jurisdictional venue for all mutual obligations, including
all payment obligations, is Leipzig, insofar as this concerns in the case of a party to the
contract a dealer or a corporate body in public law, separate property under public law,
or if the principal place of business or general jurisdictional venue of the party to the
contract is not in the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition FAIRNET GmbH has the
right to take all necessary legal steps or proceedings before the court which has
jurisdiction for the customer’s principal place of business if such action is deemed by
FAIRNET GmbH to be necessary or desirable. In any event the customer shall bear the
costs of the enforced collection of the debts due before the court (information agencies,
debt collection companies, lawyers). If and insofar as the customer is defeated in a
lawsuit, he/she shall bear the cost of the legal proceedings and any necessary legal
representation, in particular lawyers, tribunals, experts and witnesses.
10.7 Within the limitations of the Data Protection Act FAIRNET GmbH is entitled to store
electronically the data relating to the customer for automatic processing and, insofar
as is necessary or expedient for the fulfilment of the contract, to pass it on to third
parties. The customer hereby gives his/her express consent to this.
10.8 FAIRNET GmbH and the customer are under an obligation to keep confidential all
information on personal data which becomes known to them, their employees or third
parties mandated by them for the fulfilment of the contract. FAIRNET GmbH and the
customer will not use or utilise this information on personal data in any form except
for the fulfilment of the contract. FAIRNET GmbH and the customer will carry out all
their obligations arising from the German Federal Data Protection Act and will place
their employees and mandated third parties under a corresponding obligation. This
obligation will continue to apply after the termination of the contractual relationship.
6.4 FAIRNET GmbH may withdraw from the agreement in the event of default in payments
on the part of the customer and may claim compensatory damages for non-fulfilment
as well as damages caused by default.
6.5 Orders which are received by FAIRNET GmbH within four weeks of the start of an event
will only be accepted with payment in advance (a cheque should be enclosed with the
order).
6.6 FAIRNET GmbH is entitled to impose dunning charges to a maximum of 15 EUR for
out-of-court warnings issued to the customer.
6.7 If the customer is a dealer, the exercising of a right to withhold performance or right
of retention is excluded. He/she may only set off such counterclaims against the claims
of FAIRNET GmbH as have either been established by the force of law or are not
contested by FAIRNET GmbH. In any event the setting off against future claims or claims
which are not of the same type on the part of FAIRNET GmbH or utilising of rights of
retention by the customer is inadmissible if these are not based upon this contractual
relationship.
