Deutsche Bahn leaves ticket prices for long-distance travel unchanged
Deutsche Bahn's customer campaign is entering its next stage: the company will not increase fares
for the vast majority of its long-distance connections when it releases its new timetable on 13
December 2015. As a result of this decision, prices for long-distance travel in second class will remain
unchanged for the second consecutive year. Similarly, BahnCard prices will not change, and the
company will also retain its Sparpreis saver fare options starting from EUR 29. Only regional prices
will see a slight adjustment, following the opening of the Erfurt–Halle (Saale)/Leipzig new-build line,
with its concomitant reduction in journey times (up to 60 minutes).
No more advance sales period for saver fares
As of 13 December 2015 (first day of sale), DB's saver fares will become even flexible as they will no
longer be subject to an advance sales period. In other words, passengers will be able to buy saver
fare tickets even on the day of travel, subject to availability.
End of the ICE Sprinter supplement
Starting on 13 December 2015, passengers travelling on ICE Sprinter trains will no longer pay the
supplement EUR 11.50 or have to make mandatory seat reservations.
New names: Flexpreis and Sparpreis Europa
DB's standard fare tickets will be renamed Flexpreis tickets, and they will include all of the terms and
conditions associated with our current standard fares. Seat reservations will be still automatically
included for travel in first class. Special-offer Europa Spezial tickets will be renamed Sparpreis
Europa. Again, the associated terms and conditions will remain unchanged.
Information about fare changes in local and regional transport
Prices for these segments are subject to negotiations between Deutsche Bahn and other rail
operators. We will notify you of any changes once they have been finalized.
International long-distance services to/from Hungary
The longdistance trains between Austria and Hungary are operating again. Through this reason the
sale of tickets to/from Hungary is allowed again.
International long-distance services between Germany and Austria via Salzburg
As a result of the measures imposed by the authorities (border controls) all longdistance-trains (RJ,
IC/EC) between Munich and Salzburg are mostly cancelled until 4th October 2015.

Following lines are affected in detail:
IC-line 32 (Köln - Stuttgart - Munich - Salzburg - Klagenfurt)
Train EC 115 (Münster - Köln - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt) and
EC 114 (Klagenfurt - Salzburg - München - Stuttgart - Dortmund) terminate/start in Munich. All stops
between Munich and Salzburg as well as the stops inside Austria are cancelled.
IC-line 62 (Frankfurt - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt/Graz)
Trains terminate/start in Munich. All stops between Munich and Salzburg as well as the stops inside
Austria are cancelled. Exceptions:
EC 110 (Klagenfurt - Salzburg - München) terminate in Salzburg
EC 111 (München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt) run normaly
Railjet-line 90 (Munich - Salzburg - Vienna - Budapest)
RJ trains run only between Salzburg and Vienna/Budapest.
Night trains
The night trains EN 462/EN 463 (Munich – Salzburg – St. Pölten – Budapest and vice versa) are
cancelled.
Clients for the affected trains have following alternative connections/trains:
To/from Salzburg/Vienna with trains via Kufstein/Wörgl or Passau/Wels
To/from all stations on the line Munich - Freilassing with regional-trains (Meridian). However,
also this trains do not cross the border between Freilassing and Salzburg

In addition, tickets (including saver fares) and reservations to/from Salzburg can be refunded
free of charge until further notice. For a refund book in the ZuAb-function of the sales-system an
deduction with code 906 (Sonstige nach Absprache). Write in the field Referenznummer/referencenumber the IDENT-number of ticket and in the field Bemerkung/Comment the text “Salzburg”.
New ticket paper
From the end of September 2015 onward, DB agencies will start using a new type of paper for RCT 2
standard tickets (stock type F 6342), depending on the size of their existing paper stocks. Supplies of
previously issued ticket paper remain valid and should therefore be used up.
The current counterforgery background consisting of the blue-and-orange "diamond" pattern has been
redesigned, and the new ticket paper will include additional security features.

Die Deutsche Bahn verzichtet auf eine Preisanpassung im Fernverkehr
Die Deutsche Bahn setzt ihre Kundenoffensive konsequent fort und verzichtet im Fernverkehr zum
Fahrplanwechsel am 13.12.2015 weitgehend auf Preismaßnahmen. Damit bleiben die Preise in der 2.
Klasse im Fernverkehr bereits im zweiten Jahr in Folge stabil. Auch die Preise für die BahnCard
sowie der Sparpreis ab 29 Euro bleiben unverändert. Mit der Inbetriebnahme der Neubaustrecke
Erfurt–Halle (Saale)/Leipzig und deutlichen Fahrzeitverkürzung von bis zu 60 Minuten kommt es
lediglich zu moderaten regionalen Preisanpassungen.

Wegfall der Vorkaufsfrist beim Sparpreis
Der Sparpreis wird ab Verkaufstag 13.12.2015 durch den Wegfall der Vorkaufsfrist noch
kundenfreundlicher. Damit können Sparpreise je nach Verfügbarkeit noch am Reisetag erworben
werden.
Wegfall des ICE Sprinter Aufpreis
Ab dem Reisetag 13.12.2015 entfällt bei den ICE Sprinter Zügen sowohl der ICE Aufpreis von 11,50
EUR als auch die Reservierungspflicht.
Umbenennung Normalpreis in Flexpreis und Europa Spezial in Sparpreis Europa
Der „Normalpreis“ wird in „Flexpreis“ umbenannt. Der Flexpreis beinhaltet alle Angebotskonditionen
des Normalpreises und ist in der 1. Klasse weiterhin inklusive der Reservierung. Außerdem wird das
Angebot Europa Spezial in Sparpreis Europa umbenannt. Die Angebotskonditionen bleiben
unverändert bestehen.
Hinweis zur Preisanpassung im Nahverkehr
Die Festlegung dieser Tarife erfolgt in Abstimmung zwischen der Deutschen Bahn und den
Wettbewerberbahnen. Sobald die Ergebnisse vorliegen, werden wir Sie entsprechend informieren.
Zugverkehr in und aus Richtung Ungarn
Die Fernverkehrszüge zwischen Österreich und Ungarn verkehren wieder. Aus diesem Grund ist der
Verkauf von Fahrkarten nach Ungarn wieder gestattet.
Fernverkehr zwischen Deutschland und Österreich via Salzburg
Aufgrund der andauernden behördlichen Maßnahmen (Grenzkontrollen) an der Grenze zwischen
Deutschland und Österreich wird der Fernverkehr (RJ, IC/EC) zwischen München und Salzburg bis
zum 04. Oktober 2015 weitestgehend eingestellt.
Nachfolgende Linien sind betroffen:
IC-Linie 32 (Köln - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt)
Die Züge EC 115 (Münster - Köln - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt) und
EC 114 (Klagenfurt - Salzburg - München - Stuttgart - Dortmund) enden/beginnen in München. Alle
Halte zwischen München und Salzburg sowie in Österreich entfallen.
IC-Line 62 (Frankfurt - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt/Graz)
Züge enden/beginnen in München. Alle Halte zwischen München und Salzburg sowie in Österreich
entfallen. Ausnahmen:
EC 110 (Klagenfurt - Salzburg - München) endet in Salzburg
EC 111 (München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt) verkehrt auf dem gesamten Laufweg
Railjet-Linie 90 (München - Salzburg - Wien - Budapest)
RJ Züge verkehren nur zwischen Salzburg und Wien/Budapest.

Nachtzüge
Die Nachtzüge EN 462/EN 463 (München – Salzburg – St. Pölten – Budapest und Gegenrichtung)
fallen auf dem gesamten Laufweg aus.
Reisende aus den betroffenen Zügen haben folgende alternative Reisemöglichkeiten:
Von/nach Salzburg/Wien mit Zügen über Kufstein/Wörgl oder Passau/Wels
Von/nach allen Bahnhöfen auf der Strecke München - Freilassing mit Regionalzügen
(Meridian). Diese Zügen verkehren jedoch ab Freilassing nicht über die Grenze nach Salzburg

Weiterhin ist eine kostenfreie Erstattung von Fahrkarten (inkl. Sonderangeboten) von/nach Salzburg

(Sonstige, nach Absprache) und tragen im Feld „Referenznr.“ die IDENT-Nr. der Fahrkarte sowie im
Feld „Bemerkung“ den Bezug „Salzburg“ ein.
Neues Fahrkartenpapier
Im Verkauf über DB Agenturen werden ab Ende September 2015 sukzessive (je nach Abbau
vorhandener Lagerbestände) neue Fahrkartenpapiere für das RCT 2 Standardmuster (Stocktype F
6342) eingeführt. Das bestehende und bereits ausgelieferte Fahrkartenpapier ist jedoch
weiterhin uneingeschränkt gültig und soll daher aufgebraucht werden.
Der bisher verwendete Sicherheitsuntergrund mit dem blau-orangenem „Rautenmuster“ wurde
weiterentwickelt und um nachstehende weitere Sicherheitsmerkmale ergänzt.

Deutsche Bahn rinuncia all’adeguamento tariffario su tutta l’offerta a lunga percorrenza
Deutsche Bahn prosegue coerentemente la propria offensiva e rinuncia all’adeguamento tariffario
sulla lunga percorrenza per il cambio orario del giorno 13.12.2015. In questo modo i prezzi della
2°classe sulla lunga percorrenza restano stabili per il secondo anno consecutivo. Anche i prezzi della
BahnCard e della Sparpreis (tariffa risparmio) a partire da 29 Euro restano invariati. Con l’entrata in
funzione della nuova tratta Erfurt-Halle (Saale)/ Lipsia, che comporta notevoli riduzioni dei tempi di
percorrenza fino a 60 minuti, ci saranno adeguamenti tariffari moderati sul trasporto regionale.
L’aumento sarà compreso tra 1 e 7 Euro. Anche l’anno precedente i prezzi sulla lunga percorrenza
per tutti i clienti in 2°classe sono rimasti invariati. DB rinuncia inoltre per il terzo anno consecutivo
all’aumento dei prezzi della BahnCard 100 e degli abbonamenti della lunga percorrenza.
Eliminazione del termine di prevendita per la Sparpreis (tariffa risparmio)
La Sparpreis (tariffa risparmio) sarà in vendita dal giorno 13.12.2015 in modo ancora più favorevole
al cliente grazie all’eliminazione del termine di prevendita. In questo modo sarà possibile acquistare la
Sparpreis (tariffa risparmio) secondo la disponibilità anche lo stesso giorno del viaggio.
Inoltre a partire dal giorno 13.12.2015 sarà possibile rimborsare o cambiare un biglietto a tariffa
Sparpreis anche il giorno del viaggio.

Eliminazione del supplemento sull’ICE Sprinter
Sui viaggi a partire dal giorno 13.12.2015 decadono per i treni ICE Sprinter sia il supplemento di
11,50 Euro che l’obbligo di prenotazione.
Modifica del nome della tariffa Normalpreis (tariffa flessibile) in Flexpreis ed Europa-Spezial in
Sparpreis Europa
La “Normalpreis” diventerà la tariffa “Flexpreis”. La tariffa Flexpreis comprende tutte le condizioni
della tariffa Normalpreis ed è venduta in 1°classe con la prenotazione inclusa.
Inoltre il nome della tariffa Europa-Spezial diventerà Sparpreis Europa. Le condizioni di vendita
restano invariate.
Avviso per l’adeguamento tariffario sulla breve percorrenza
La definizione di queste tariffe avviene previa consultazione di Deutsche Bahn con le ferrovie di
imprese concorrenti. Non appena i risultati saranno disponibili provvederemo ad informarvi.
Circolazione dei treni da e per l’Ungheria
I treni a lunga percorrenza tra Austria e Ungheria circolano nuovamente. Per questo motivo la vendita
di biglietti per l’Ungheria è nuovamente possibile.
Traffico a lunga percorrenza tra Germania e Austria via Salisburgo
A causa delle disposizioni delle autorità ad oggi valide (controlli alla frontiera) al confine tra Germania
e Austria il traffico a lunga percorrenza (RJ, IC/EC) tra Monaco e Salisburgo verrà cancellato fino al
giorno 04.10.2015.
Sono coinvolte le seguenti linee:
IC - Linea 32 (Köln - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt)
I treni EC 115 (Münster - Köln - Stuttgart - München - Salzburg - Klagenfurt) e
EC 114 (Klagenfurt - Salzburg - München - Stuttgart - Dortmund) finiscono/partono da Monaco. Tutte
le fermate tra Monaco e Salisburgo comprese quelle in Austria sono cancellate.

Nuovi biglietti cartacei
Per la vendita tramite le agenzie DB saranno introdotti da fine settembre 2015 (man mano che le
scorte esistenti saranno terminate) i nuovi biglietti modello standard RCT 2 (Stocktype F 6342). I
biglietti tutt’ora in uso e già consegnati alle agenzie sono tuttavia validi senza limitazioni e
devono essere utilizzati.
Lo sfondo di sicurezza utilizzato sino ad oggi con il “modello a rombo” è stato sviluppato ulteriormente
e completato con le seguenti modifiche per aumentarne l’efficacia.
