Opti-myst . Aus Wasser wird Feuer – für einen realistischen 3D-Flammeneffekt.
Licht trifft Wassernebel. Und auf einmal sind Flammen zu sehen. Klingt unmöglich, funktioniert aber. Wie? Unterhalb
des Glutbetts mit der Holz- oder Kohle-Kulisse liegt ein Wassertank: Dort wird Wasser per Ultraschall zu einem
feinen, dichten Nebel zerstäubt. Halogenlampen hinter dem Wassertank erwärmen Luft, die den Nebel nach oben
transportiert. Der aufsteigende Wassernebel verteilt sich über dem Glutbett und reflektiert dabei das Halogenlicht. So
entsteht ein lebendiges Flackern, wie bei einem echten Flammenspiel. Aus Wasser wird Feuer – der reflektierende
Wassernebel selbst ergibt den Feuereffekt. Eine dunkle Kaminrückwand ist nicht mehr nötig, das dreidimensionale
Opti-myst Feuer lässt sich von allen Seiten einsehen. Die Nebel-Flammen reagieren auch völlig natürlich, bewegen
sich zum Beispiel bei Windzug. Im Gegenzug zum Holz-Kamin ist diese Technologie völlig sicher und schützt
Kinderhände: Fasst man ins Feuer, umschließen die aufsteigenden Wassernebel-Flammen die Hand. Ihre Stärke lässt
sich sogar regulieren. Nur verbrennen kann man sich nicht daran! Aber angenehm warm vor dem Kamin wird’s auf
Wunsch trotzdem: Die Heizoption ist in zwei Stufen zuschaltbar. Opti-myst gibt es als offenes Feuer, als
Kamineinsatz, als Kamin oder als Wandeinbau. Mit den neuen OMC-Einbaukassetten kann man Feuerlinien von
beliebiger Länge bauen, ohne die Flammen unterbrechen zu müssen – was gerade in Bars, Hotels oder WellnessEinrichtungen einen spektakulären Eindruck zum Beispiel als Raumteiler hinterlässt.

Optiflame . Aus Reflektion wird Feuer: mit Gestensteuerung und Feuer in Wunschfarbe.
Das Geheimnis ist eine rotierende Spiegelachse, an der mehrere gebogene und in sich gedrehte Spiegelelemente
befestigt sind. So entsteht eine möglichst große, unregelmäßige Spiegelfläche, die das Licht vielfach bricht. Genau
das kommt dem Feuereffekt zugute: Je mehr Einzelelemente sich drehen, desto lebendiger wird die Reflektion, desto
realistischer wirkt das Flackern… wie bei echten Flammen. Das Feuer lebt! Um die Holz- oder Kohlestücke im
Glutbett möglichst realistisch glimmen zu lassen, werden sie ebenfalls von unten angestrahlt. Bei den neuesten
Modellen kommen hocheffiziente und lang haltbare RGB-LED-Lampen zum Einsatz, die in allen Farben leuchten
können. Ab sofort lässt sich also auch grünes oder blaues Feuer erzeugen; die Farbintensität von Glut und Flammen
ist ebenfalls steuerbar. Magisch! Erst recht mit der berührungslosen Gestensteuerung, durch die man das
Kaminfeuer ein- und aus-„zaubern“ kann. Wer die Heizoption wählt, kann sie in zwei Abstufungen zuschalten. Und
auch bei den Aufstelllösungen ist Optiflame extrem variabel: als Wandeinbau oder als mobiler Kamin, der jederzeit
anders platziert werden kann.

Opti-V . Aus Film wird Feuer – absolut wartungsfrei, realistisch in Erscheinung und Klang.
Die Opti-V Modelle nutzen einen Illusionstrick aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, den „Pepper’s-Ghost-Effekt“, der früher vor
allem im Theater verwendet wurde. ewt hat diese Illusionstechnik wiederbelebt, weiterentwickelt, durch akribische
Ingenieursarbeit perfektioniert… und so einen dreidimensionalen Flammeneffekt mit realistischer Raumtiefe
geschaffen: Über einen Monitor an der Decke des Kamins wird ein HD-Kaminfeuerfilm – inklusive Funkenflug und
Rauchentwicklung – auf eine transparente, spiegelnde Folie projiziert, die sich schräg über dem Glutbett befindet.
Wer in den Kamin schaut, sieht also diese gespiegelte Projektion des Feuerfilms über dem Glutbett. Energiesparende
LCD-Lampen beleuchten das Glutbett zusätzlich von unten und lassen es noch lebendiger erscheinen. Knister- und
Knackgeräusche können optional zugeschaltet werden. Opti-V Modelle haben keine Heizoption, sind absolut

Opti-myst . Water becomes fire – for a realistic 3D flame effect.
Light meets mist. And, suddenly flames appear. It sounds impossible, but works. And how? Beneath the firebed with
the log or coal backdrop there is a water tank in which the water is atomized by ultrasound to create a fine, dense
mist. Halogen lamps behind the water tank heat the air which then carries the mist upwards. The rising mist is
distributed across the firebed, reflecting the halogen light. This creates real flickering, just like dancing flames. Water
becomes fire – the reflecting mist itself creates the fire effect. A dark fireplace backdrop is no longer required. The 3D
Opti-myst fire can be seen from all sides. The mist-flames react totally naturally, for example, they even flicker if
there’s a draught. Unlike log fires, this technology is totally safe and protects children’s hands: If you put your hand in
the fire, it will be surrounded by the rising flames. It is possible even to regulate the thickness of the flames. However,
you won’t get burned! But, it can still be warm in front of the fireplace, if you so wish: there is a two-step heating
option. Opti-myst is available as an “open” fire, a fireplace inset, as a full fireplace and as a wall-installation option.
Using the new OMC-Fire installation, a fireline of any length can be created, without interrupting the flames –
something that is particularly impressive for example as a room divider in pubs, hotels and wellness spas.

Optiflame . Reflection becomes fire: gesture-controlled with a choice of flame colour.
The secret here is a rotating mirror shaft with a number of curved and twisted mirror elements attached to it. This
allows for the greatest possible irregular mirror surface to be created that refracts the light multiple times. This is
exactly what enhances the fire effect: the more individual elements that are rotating, the livelier is the reflection,
therefore creating a more realistic flickering – as is the case with real flames. The fire is alive! In order for the logs or
coal in the firebed to glimmer as realistically as possible they are also illuminated from below. Highly efficient and
sustainable RGB-LED lamps that offer all colours are used for the most recent models. Therefore, it’s already possible
to create a green or blue fire; the fire intensity of the glimmer and flames can be regulated too. Magic! All the more so
with the contactless gesture control used to switch the fireplace on and off – by magic! If you have chosen the
heating option, it is available in two steps. As regards installation, Optiflame is extremely versatile as it is available for
wall-mounting or as a free-standing stove that can be moved somewhere else at any time.

Opti-V . Video becomes fire – fully maintenance-free, realistic appearance and sound.

The Opti-V model uses an illusionist technique from the 19 Century, the so-called Pepper’s Ghost effect that was
originally used mainly in the theatre. ewt has revisited this technique, further developed it, and perfected it through
meticulous engineering work, thereby creating a three-dimensional flame effect with realistic spatial depth: Via a
monitor on the top of the fire, a HD fireplace video – with flying sparks and smoke – is projected onto a transparent,
reflective surface that is installed at an angle above the firebed. If you look into the fire, you see this reflected
projection of the fire video above the firebed. In addition, energy-saving LCD lamps illuminate the firebed from below,
so that it looks even more realistic. The sound of logs crackling is included as an option. Opti-V models do not have a
heat option, are fully maintenance-free – and as a result are suitable for public areas such as pubs or restaurants.
The fire inserts can be incorporated into wall units, TV cupboards or directly into the wall itself.

About ewt.
The name of this traditional brand (set up in 1957) originally stood for “Elektro-Wärme-Technik” (electrical warming
technology). ewt has remained true to its name to this day with its wide range of products from the convenient
electric direct heating devices to innovative electric fires. Always convenient, extremely easy to install (plug & play) and
surprisingly efficient. As part of the turnaround in energy policy, ewt products are becoming more and more popular in
passive and low-energy houses because the installation of water-based heating systems is simply no longer viable.
ewt fire technology is setting the standard worldwide in particular thanks to the spectacular, patented effects of the
fires. The magic of fire could not be recreated in a more fascinating, clean and safe manner: and if green-power
operated, it is even fully CO2-free. It is not only hotels, restaurants, pubs and boat fitters that will benefit from this
technology but also increasingly apartment owners and tenants, if the installation of a log, gas or bio-ethanol fireplace
is not possible or is too dangerous.

RGB-LED-lights are applied, which can glow in
different colours. Therefore the fire can be adapted
to each mood with green, blue or red colour. With
the gesture recognition technology the fire can be
whipped on and off nearly magically. The integrated

perfect with cosy warmth.
