ERASMUS+/Youth – Key Action 1 Participants’ INFO PACK for the Training Course ”Local Co-operations for Youth ACTivation” from Monday 28/07 till Monday 04/08/ 2014 (travel included) in Brioude – Central France The training Course Short presentation of the training course Themes: youth skills & learning, youth entrepreneurship spirit; youth employability & local co-operation (= co-operation between different entities for youth employment). Objectives: * Provide tools on how to develop youth inner potential, youth creativity and youth enterprise spirit; * Work and exchange on methods on how to empower young people to develop their own project; * Propose methods for the identification of competences gained in Non Formal Activities and unformal Activities; * Imagine new links between learning in NFA and youth employment entities and the working world; * Increase the employability of all young people ( youth with fewer opportunities included). Working methods: We will use a mix of the following methods depending on the needs of the participants and the group dynamic: • Creativity workshops; • Serious game; • Theoretical input; • Good practices sharing (local and european); • Visits; • Show your skills workshops (participants teach/show the others a method, technique, game). Participants • Countries: France, Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Greece, Germany, Romania, Hungary. • Profile of participants: youth workers, social youth workers, youth group leader, youth officer, municipal youth service responsible, EVS mentors, youth exchange responsible person, youth coach (youth initiatives), etc. Working languages: English Financial Participation: • participation fee of 35 € (will be deduced from you travel reimbursments). Short Presentation of MUSIKADO Musikado is a French association created in 1996 and based in the town of Brioude (7.000 inhabitants – Auvergne - Central France). It develops artistic and local development projects mainly aimed at youth: * music concerts and contests; * short video film production; video game evenings; * promotion of active citizenship; * health prevention; * promotion of local cultural heritage; * EU activities: youth exchanges, seminars & T Cs, youth initiatives, EVS (2011-FR-79). PARTICIPANT SHOULD BE PRESENT IN ALL ACTIVITES OF THE PROGRAMME The team Epp is an Estonia Trainer, who has been working with international youth projects since 2001. International youth work is Epp’s passion, as she believes it is often easier to find new inspiration and also start local activities abroad. Epp also got involved in youth work thanks to a Youth in Action financed training course in Germany, where she met Estonian youth workers and as a result found a traineeship placement that started her career. Besides Estonia, Epp has lived and studied in Finland and USA, did her EVS in Ukraine and has travelled for work and pleasure to many parts of the world. As a trainer Epp is an observer and loves to surprise people with their own abilities. She believes that people already know and can do most things, they just don’t know it. Central elements in Epp’s trainings are developing creativity, raising self-esteem and courage, as her work with people has proven that those are the key elements to success in any field. Epp has founded a non-profit HeadEst in Estonia and has been running it since 2004. Emmanuel is a French Trainer sharing is time between France and Greece. He has started his work on international youth projects in 1997 through a Musical Youth Exchange. Then, followed an EVS project in Greece in 1998 and after that numerous intercultural and European mobility programs. He is a free lance worker and co-operate among others with Musikado (from 2001), the Greek school and NGOs , the European network ENYC (2007-2012). From 2009 he started to tell folk fairy tales in schools, bars and cultural centers; he leads worksops combining storytelling and French language learning. One of his dream is to settle down in the countryside, and share his time between getting busy with the nature, training and stories. Frédéric or Fred is the soul of Musikado. He has founded the association with a group of friends all fond of music. In 2003 he started with Musikado the intercultural adventure with a musical youth exchange. In 2009 Musikado hosted its first EVS volunteer. He is manager of the music studio of Brioude, plays the guitar, drums, djembe and is very active in different associative bodies of Brioude. His dream is to spend his time gathering mushrooms in the countryside of Auvergne and further. … and other speakers or animators … SURPRISE! Practical information Dear participants, It will be a pleasure for us to meet you in France in July 2014. Please read very carefully the following information in order to facilitate our work and for you to have a pleasant travel and stay: 1. Please don't forget to bring with you your identity card (Schengen countries) or passport. 2. Please bring with you your printed electronic ticket or other original tickets IN ENGLISH with the price in EUROS ON IT and don’t loose the boarding pass that will be given to you at the check-in desk in the airport. We need the boarding pass as an evidence for your flight. If you loose it, you won’t be reimbursed of your flight ticket! 3. 4. INVOICE: If possible, get an Invoice at your name for your plane tickets For your health safety is the European Health Card that is valid for all EU countries. Please ask it to your health insurance service and bring it you. Additionally if you wish you can contract at you own charge a package of travel insurance. It is not expensive and sometimes very useful. Some insurance companies ask for the address of residence: La Visitation Parc de la Visitation 43100 BRIOUDE – FRANCE 5. Third liability insurance: Musikado in insured for third liability matters. You have to manage your own insurance for: loss or steeling of objects & luggage. 6. Very important information: in France it is strictly forbidden to import, to carry or to consume any kind of drugs (hashish and marihuana included). 7. Seminar Place The seminar will take place at the centre “La visitation” in the center of the town of Brioude. Sheets & blankets are provided. Towels are NOT provided. 8. We provide breakfasts, lunches & dinners. So, you need only some euros pocket money for your personal expenses. Taxis are NOT reimbursed. 9. The currency in France is the EURO. WHAT TO BRING with YOU? - - slippers (worn-out shoes), sports shoes, summer clothes, hat, one light jacket for the evenings, a raincoat (in case of rain) and a swimming suit; on the second evening we will have an intercultural dinner. Please BRING a speciality from your country (food or drinks) with you and music if you wish. Attention: You are not allowed to carry fluids in your hand baggage. You can put it only in the checked baggage (not more than 20 kilos). Do not forget to BRING material about your organisation (leaflets, posters, photos, videos, - CDRom, etc) THINK about a method, a game, a tool you can teach or present to the other: traditional game, - intercultural game, a methods, etc. . Those has to fit for a target group of young people (13 - 30). It can be adapted. SEMINAR PLACE: Centre “La Visitation” We will work, eat, sleep and relax in the residential centre “La Visitation”. It is situated nearby a park in the center of Brioude. Lodging: in 2 – 4 beds rooms with bathroom and toilets. This is usually a school residential place, not as confortable as an hotel, but very nice place. There are only small pillows, if you need it bring your onw. At the same time of the seminar, there will be in the same building, a summer camp for young people. Board: in the centre “La Visitation”, in the school of Saint-Julien (10’ walking) and in the restaurant of Brioude. Internet: the building has WI-FI internet access. Travel arrangements For your travel on MONDAY 24th of JULY 2013 (you can arrive in France one or 2 days earlier if plane tickets is cheaper but we cannot pay your extra accomodation – Your arrival in Brioude can ONLY be on the 24/7/14– PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU PLAN SUCH travel) The training course takes place in Brioude, which is: 500km south from Paris and 200 km West from Lyon.
