Light up
An easy DIY to bring some warmth to your home
This week we spread some love into
our homes with an easy DIY that
requires nothing more than your
favourite fabric, an old, wire lamp
frame and a few sheets of styrene.
Tap into your creative side and try
your hand at a lampshade that is a
reflection of your very own personal
style. Not only are these 1-2-3 steps
very easy to follow, they also give
you plenty of room to explore your
creative sense. While this one has
directions for a basic lampshade,
you can always take it up a notch by
adding accessories such as buttons,
small pendants or even sequins! Let
the ideas flow!
Directions
You’ll need
Step 4: Clip one end of the wide
ribbon at the bottom of the shade
and completely wrap it around.
Secure the last edge with a
clothespin and allow it to dry for 20
minutes.
- An old, lampshade frame with the
old fabric stripped off
- 1/2 yard fabric of your choice
- Pressure-sensitive styrene
- Wooden clothespins
- Wide ribbon/lace to hold panels as
they dry
- Fabric glue or aica
- Scissors
Step 1: Hold your lampshade frame
in one hand and place a styrene
sheet on top of it to measure just
how much you’d need for each side.
Cut the styrene sheet according to
each side of the frame.
Step 2: Use the styrene and paste it
into the fabric using aica. Trim any
sides that are too long.
Step 3: Take one cutout fabric that
has the styrene glued to it and place
it on one side of the frame. Keep it
together using the clothespin, then
run a line of glue around it to help it
stick to the frame.
Step 5: Remove the wide ribbon
as well as the clothespin and your
lampshade is ready.

A good fight
Nexus 9 vs iPad Air 2

We took a look at these two leading tablets side by side to see who would
come up on top. This might persuade you to lean towards one over the other
or perhaps it’s much more obvious than we’d like to think.
Let’s get the obvious facts out of the way. This isn’t for the Apple fanboys,
although we’re sure you’ll want to brag about certain descriptions to your
non-Apple friends. It may, however, be for those who are thinking to
possibly jump ship to the other. And let’s not even touch on the price either.
Clearly the Nexus 9, built by HTC, is much cheaper than an iPad Air 2. More
importantly, we’ll take a look at the major details that set the two apart.
Design
iPad Air 2 beats the Nexus 9 when
it comes to build and design. Yes,
we’re aware of how well HTC makes
their smartphones; they are very
attractive. But don’t expect too much
from a tablet going up against the
Air 2, especially when Google has a
big say on the final product. It’s not a
terrible design, but Apple has always
had a strangle hold in design when
it comes to tablets. What separates
the two in screen is a tricky one.
The Air 2 has a larger display but it
isn’t as sharp as the Nexus 9. Not to
mention, the Nexus 9 is actually more
comfortable to use. The placement

of the speakers on the Nexus is better
than the bottom placement of the
iPad. But the difference isn’t that
much of a leap when it comes to
sound quality.
Features
Android Lollipop is a brilliant
upgrade in the Nexus 9. That’s not
to knock on Apple’s iOS which is still
very refined in all areas. The biggest
difference here is the adaptability of
the Android device. In other words,
you can customise the crap out
of it alongside plenty of flair. The
Nexus has one huge advantage over
the iPad - Google Now. Siri might
be lovely, but she’s not as smart as
Google Now. For example, you can
ask what the weather is without
touching your device. You can do the
same with the iPad but only when
it’s plugged in. Apple’s app market
still takes the win in optimisation.
Storage plays a big role as well.
The iPad wins in this department,
whereas the Nexus 9 only provides
32GB. We won’t even touch on either
tablet’s cameras. Who takes pictures
with their tablets? You?

2014 Tata Vista
The new “more car per car” challenger from Tata

Even though the 2014 Tata Vista
shares its platform with the Indica,
the Vista is totally re-engineered. It is
more mature than before and is able
to perform quite a lot better than the
previous generations. Tata’s strategic
tie up with Fiat has gotten them
the access to some quality engines
and the Vista does benefit from this
heavily. As far as the built quality is
concerned, the styling, fit and finish
are up to the mark and the Vista does
make a decent family hatchback.
Exterior
On the outside the car has a tightfitting, modern skin, the nose of the
car is low and compact, and stylistic
details are very subdued. There is a
subtle crease along the door handles
and the front bumper is fused
seamlessly with the car’s rounded
nose section, while the wheel arches
get only a hint of a flare. The rear of
the car is quite difficult to tell apart
from the Indica, it is almost identical.
The Vista, however, looks excessively
raised and severely under-tyred.
Interior
The moment you step inside the car,
you’ll notice the seats both at the
front and the back are considerably
bigger than the previous models.
The front seats have the height
adjustability option and so does the
steering wheel. There is plenty of
legroom for tall drivers and for once,
all the general ergonomics are pretty
good and fall easily to hand. What
Tata has got right, by any means,
is quality. Well, the Vista now has
plastics and other bits that feel wellbuilt. The radical centre-mounted
instrument cluster is similar
to that of the Nano
but the look of
the Vista cabin
is bright and
airy.
Performance
Powering the Vista is a 1.2-litre
SAFIRE petrol engine that was
initially designed by Fiat. Later Tata
tweaked the engine for a bit more
power and increased fuel efficiency.
This double overhead cam SAFIRE
produces 65bhp and 96Nm of torque
paired up with a five-speed manual
transmission. From not to 100 takes
about 16.4 seconds and has a top
speed of a decent 151kph. The Vista’s
gearbox is pretty damn good; the
clutch is light and we liked how the
gears are selected in an unobtrusive
manner. Although, the gearshift
needs some degree of effort to
manage.
Safety
The Vista has been engineered to
pass stringent European crash test
norms and even the bonnet has been
optimised for pedestrian safety. But
the Vista, however, lacks an anti-lock
braking system and a couple of air
bags here and there; it only has one
air bag for the driver.
Tata was keen to deliver even more
car per car with the new Vista.
By and large, Tata has succeeded
for the Vista. It outdid everyone’s
expectations in the space, comfort,
refinement and performance
departments. The Vista now is as
powerful, refined and efficient as
most of its competitors.

The intersection of New Elephant
Road on Mirpur Road is Noise
Pollution Central. At any given hour,
day or night, you’ll find drivers of
buses, private cars, CNGs, you name
it, all practically leaning on their
horns without a care in the world.
The rickshaws also jingle their horns
like their lives depend on it. During
government holidays, loudspeakers
go up on the footover bridge, blaring
loud music all day. It’s amazing how
people are still able to function.

School traffic
With some of the biggest schools
located in Uttara, it’s no surprise
that the moment the clock hits 8am
there’s an immediate deadlock on
the roads. As if the loud school bells
aren’t bad enough, you’ve got the
constant hustle and bustle of these
kids revving up the noise pollution
quotient with their constant
yapping. Even if you happen to be
lucky enough and need to get to
work by 10, you have to start from
home either by 7:30am or wait till
it’s 10am to dodge the heavy traffic.
There truly is no middle ground.

Purely zoological
Living in Bashundhara is pleasant. It
almost feels like you live in a village
as there is hardly any traffic noise.
That being said, you’ll wake up to
roosters singing and cows mooing that
will have you scratching your head
in confusion, wondering when you
left Dhaka! The cows are everywhere,
staring at you with those big,
beautiful, sad eyes. Be prepared to be
late for meetings, as you may have to
step out of your vehicle and steer the
poor creature in the right direction.

Au naturel fragrances
Who needs to put on cologne when
you can be smeared with the week
old, sweet odour of rotten veggies
and leftovers from the roadside trash
cans on your way to work? Stationed
right out in the open, next to the
jam-packed bus stations in Mirpur,
there’s no escaping it. You can
tell from the overflowing garbage
footpaths that these bins are not
cleaned on a day to day basis. Stinky
issues can take a backseat for now
but what about the health hazards
associated with it?

Two months ago, I met a girl, B, who I think I’m madly in love with.
I may not know her very well, but I have a feeling it might go
somewhere. However, I’m afraid to approach her with any romantic
gesture because then she might ask me about my previous love life.
I’m pretty sure that if I do tell her about it, she would not want to be
with me anymore. Plus, she has extremely conservative views about dating and
sometimes I feel like if I date her, it will be a lot like signing a binding contract.
I have cheated on all three of my previous girlfriends, and have had countless
flings, and I really don’t think, given my history and tendency, I can manage to
handle a serious relationship with B without cheating on her for at least once.
What should I do?

I was in love with my best friend for years now, and last summer I finally told
him how I felt. To my surprise, he told me he felt the same way even though
he was seeing someone at the moment. Two weeks after my confession, he
broke up with his girlfriend. He told me it was because he felt guilty about
hiding all this from her for so long, but I had a gut feeling it wasn’t entirely
true. Things were great for a while then but after a few weeks he suddenly decided
to go to Japan. He told me he had a massive fight with his ex, who demanded he tell
her why he did what he did. He also mentioned that it was becoming difficult for
him to remain friends with me, with all the complicated feelings underneath. We got
over that phase quickly, but after another two weeks, he shut me off completely. He
refused to answer any of my questions and told me he didn’t want to be my friend
anymore. I’m very confused about all this. My friends think he got back with his ex
during that fight, and since it wasn’t any easier to handle the situation after that,
he let go of me completely. Let’s face it, we cannot really be friends with the ones we
have a thing for. Should I stop trying to salvage the massive wreckage this friendship
has become - if that’s what it’s called?

Whether it’s a colleague, a subordinate
or even your boss, there will come a
time when you can’t help but give in to
your urge to spill that word and vomit.
Tongues are wagged, insults thrown
and feelings are hurt. Sometimes it’s
not just the argument itself that is the
most difficult part, it’s the post-war
awkwardness that follows that is hard
to dissipate. Do you go right back
to how you were? Do you act like
nothing has happened? Do you dole
out an excessively, friendly smile and
risk being called fake? This week we
talk about how to ease into the friend
zone after the war has been waged and
arguments have ended.
Make peace with yourself
Easier said than done. However, to
really make sure there is no unresolved

working together again, it’s best to really
sit down and let go of any resentment

Colour co-ordination
Start by stacking books of the
same size and colour together.
Sometimes, even placing a pretty
little desk clock on the stack could
add a little more oomph to it. Also,
remember that while new, glossy
books have a very attractive appeal
towards them, the old tattered
classics will give an edge to any
room you choose to bless them
with.
The coffee table
We often wonder in what ways we
could decorate the centre tables in
Stack books horizontally in the
lower shelves. To add a little more
polish, you might place a decorating
piece on top. Make sure to keep the
apparatus simple, otherwise the
books and the complex designs will
kill the classic vibe.
Mirror, mirror
If you have a large stuffed bookshelf,
and you don’t know how to break
the monotony, here’s your answer.
Attach a small mirror in front of the
shelf to break the rectangular feel
of the furniture, and also, you could
hide the rarely-read books behind
the cute circular mirror.

Instead of it serving only its original
purpose, turn it into a miscellaneous
holder. Don’t clog up all the space
inside with books. For a clean look,
begin with similar arrangements.
If the books on the top shelf are
arranged vertically, place the ones
on the second shelf horizontally.
Place them on opposite sides and fill
up the remaining space with small,
simple accessories. You could even
attach a wallpaper to the back of the
shelf to give it a more personalised
appearance.

Contraceptives: Have you
been using them right?

Birth control is not something to be
taken lightly. Here are a few ways you
can go wrong with them.
For starters, there are two
forms of birth control - the barrier
contraceptives and the hormonal
method. The hormonal one, for a
number of reasons, is a lot more
effective than the barrier ones, even
though it does come with a sizeable
amount of possible lasting sideeffects.
Now, quite often, we do not use
birth control right, and many of us
still feel like it may not be something
someone can teach us how to use.
1. The contraceptive sponge
Now you know this sponge is
supposed to be left inside your body
for several hours before intercourse,
but what some of you don't know
is that it needs to remain there for
at least six more hours to have full
effect. If you have been taking it out
right after sex, you're raising your
chances of conception.

4. The patch
The patch has something in common
with the pills - they both release
female hormones into our systems,
altering the menstrual cycle, and
stopping ovulation. When it comes to
hormones, timing and dosage are key,
so the patch is usually misused in the
same ways as the pills.
This is only a basic guide to the
ways you can go wrong with them,
but it is not all. Birth control is an
extremely complicated process
(unless it's a condom), so be sure to
see a doctor about every detail you
might be unsure about.
As men get older, most of them
invariably develop some sort of
prostate condition, and sometimes
the lightness of the symptoms may
lure them into thinking it’s really
nothing. But you really don’t want
to be taking that risk.
Prostate diseases can be cured,
and the sooner they are diagnosed,
the better the prognosis will
be. As a general rule of thumb,
men should get a yearly prostate
examination done starting at
the age of 40. Some of you even
put your lives at risk due to
misinformation or the stigma
attached to it due a nationwide
generalisation.
Symptoms not caused by
prostate problems will eventually
disappear, but if they linger on, or
come back from time to time, then
it is probably caused by a prostate
gland.
Here are some of the symptoms
you might need to be careful about:
1. Difficulty in urination, and
having to strain while urinating
2. A loss of strength in the urine
flow
3. A feeling that you need to use
the men’s room even though you
were there not more than three
minutes ago
4. A stop-and-start style of urine
flow
5. A need to get up and use the
toilet quite frequently at night
6. A tendency to dribble urine
even after you’re done using the
washroom
These are symptoms that
prostate problems may be
developing, even though it is not
necessarily serious. But that is not
always the case.
Also, as soon as you start getting
these symptoms, make sure to
consult a doctor. The good news
is, if you see a specialist in time,
prostate cancer can be diagnosed
safely.

As a woman in your position, how
do you feel about the notion that
men dominate the tech front?
To say that men “dominate tech”
insinuates that men are somehow
innately better with technology
and have somehow “won out”
over women. A more accurate
phrase might be that men are in the
majority in the technology industry
as it stands today. This has more
to do with access to opportunities,
professional networks, and genderbased cultural expectations than
innate technological prowess.
In five or 10 years, I do not think
this question will even be relevant.
Given the number of initiatives that
have been taken by both the private
and public sectors, women will be a
growing proportion of the workforce
in STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math) industries.
I am excited to help more women
and girls pursue their personal and
professional interests in technology
over the next few years.
If there was an opportunity to help
everyone understand technology
better, how would you go about it?
The Internet offers vast
opportunities for anyone and
everyone to understand technology
better. It is possible to learn
anything online, from how to code
a website or mobile application to
how to write a winning proposal
for a technology competition.
There is such a massive amount of
information available online that
simply gaining access can be a game
changer.
Actively supporting programmes
that increase access to the Internet,
whether through free Internet hot
spots or by increasing the number of
computers in schools, can pay huge
dividends in terms of developing
an individual’s or community’s
understanding of technology. My
professional focus has been on
helping people use the Internet more
effectively via online marketplaces
and advertising platforms.
We need to be more tech savvy on a
macro level, at banks and schools, for
instance. Any thoughts on how we
can get there?
Organisations like bKash are
already helping make technology
a part of everyday life for people
in Bangladesh. Once enough of the
population starts to engage with
technology on a daily basis - like
paying for groceries or transferring
funds digitally - it will be easier for
institutions like banks and schools to
introduce more complex innovations.
They will have a ready audience that
is willing and able to make effective
use of new tools.
Any tips on how one can get on the
technology train?
My advice is to take it one day at
a time. Try something new online
everyday, whether it’s signing up for
your first YouTube account or creating
a savings plan with an online tool.
On a personal level, how do you think
technology can empower women?
Technology allows women to be
active and productive wherever they
are. It has allowed me to increase my
social network, learn from professors
on the other side of the world, dabble
in entrepreneurship, and “see” my
family, even though I am not at home.
What is your favourite way to
unwind in Dhaka?

flattering.

While we all loved our quintessential pair of leggings, there was always the issue

warm layers out and start wearing

Well, in this case the entire team

quite difficult to show face in

tradition gets in the way. What
you can do is recommend a
more appropriate replacement,
something that doesn’t look
tacky. Give him or his family a
few options in a better shade of
the same colour to look over and
try on. Hopefully, it’s not too late
to save the evening’s eyes from
bleeding. If they are reluctant

Oil you need
Clean up your act, naturally

Apply oil to the face? Never! That would
just make your mug greasier than a
pizza, right? Wrong. When you strip
your skin of all its oil, it just creates more
to balance everything out. Japanese
women have been washing their faces
with oil cleansers for ages and the trend
caught on when other companies started
making their own versions. While we
may not be able to get our hands on a
bottle locally, there are other things you
can do with natural oils that can take
your skin to the next level of smooth and
beautiful.
Coconut oil
Okay, we’re not trying
to give a bad rep to this
bad boy, but some of
us cannot stand the
strong aroma that it
brings to the table.
Scents aside, coconut
oil is easily available
and is great for your
skin. If you can’t afford
that pricey eye cream,
using a few dabs of
coconut oil on the
fine skin under your
eyes will keep the area
smooth and supple.
Make-up
If they can actually see the goop on
your face, you probably overdid it.
Guys also don’t appreciate it when
you go over to their place and leave
foundation marks on their brand new
white towels (bought to impress you
in the first place).
Lipstick
Red lipstick is hot without a doubt.
However, if you’re the kind that likes
to indulge in PDA with your other
half, maybe you could just stick to
the clear gloss. Red smudges all over
the face, neck and around the mouth
are not very classy on either of you.
Perfume
Sure, smelling good is always a
bonus, but there are limits. Drowning
yourself in perfume as well as laying
on the scented lotions too thick can
be a turn off and actually trigger
allergies. Let’s put it this way. If we
can smell you before you enter the

Hair
High maintenance hair dos can look
really good on you, but it can be a
pain when he tries to run his fingers

Subtle smoky eyes look great if done
right and worn at night. Stepping out
of the house with badly executed
raccoon eyes at noon just looks

Places to see:
Shimla: Other than the shopping along Mall Road, and the Sankat Mochan
Hanuman temple, there’s Jhaku Hill, which, at 8000ft, provides a beautiful
view of the town and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. At the top of
the hill is another temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and is a sanctuary for
droves of friendly monkeys just waiting to be fed by visitors. Don’t miss the
statue of Lord Hanuman, which at 8500ft above sea level, stands higher than
the Christ Redeemer in Rio.
Manali: This picturesque hill station has plenty of ancient temples for the
casual sight-seer, such as the Hadimba temple, the Hidimbadevi temple, and
the Manu temple, to name a few. For those interested in more natural sights,
there are options for some truly breathtaking selfies to be snapped near the
Kothi Gorge and Rohtang Pass.
Delhi: Since the package involves entering and leaving through Delhi, there’s
no reason why one can’t take in the famous sights and sounds. Old Delhi
offers up the majestic Red Fort, the bustling Chandni Chowk, and the graceful
Jame Masjid. In New Delhi, the must-see stops include the iconic India Gate,
the Qutub Minar straight out of the pages of history, the tomb of the Mughal
emperor Humayun, and the Lotus Temple.

A new Italian eatery with five star ambition and prices to match

The first restaurant in Uttara
to solely dedicate itself to
the romantic deliciousness
of Italian cuisine, Veni
Vidi Vici, is a family style
restaurant that has made
every effort to stay true to
its Italian promise. From the
Italian flag inspired table
mats to the exaggerated
Italian names on the menu
- they’ve tried and they’ve
tried hard.
Once you step into the
place, it’s all about muted
lighting, spacious rooms and
abundant wait staff. Easily
defined as being somewhere
between overstated and
understated, they’ve aimed
at decor that is classic but
blatantly simple. Perhaps
believing it to be part of their
homely charm, seating too
is comfortable yet nothing
over the top. Make sure
you keep a lookout for their
manager. If nothing reminds
you of Italy, his warmth and
charm certainly will.

Tantalise |
We began our meal with a Garlic
Bread starter. Their version of the
garlic bread was a bit on the crumbly,
drier side, best paired with a sauce
to mop it with. The Ortolana Pizza
had its own spin to authentic Italian
Ortolana. Instead of finding a delicate
thin crust, expect a slightly thicker
crust and an assortment of veggies
and chicken chunks. Their one of a
kind oven may not deliver the crisp
thin crust you’d want but they sure
make up for it with their chunky
assortment of toppings. Sweet,
simple and ripe with the flavour of
peppers, cherry tomatoes and tomato
sauce, it is a pizza meant to be shared.
However, the Tk1,300 (excluding 25%
vat and service charge) you dish out
for it certainly makes you wish that
the pizza had been as show-stopping
as its price.
From their pasta section, we
tried the Spaghetti with Carbonara
Sauce priced at Tk500 that we hoped
would be a delicious treat. Plated
beautifully, the spaghetti arrived
hot, covered in a smooth carbonara
sauce with thin slices of what tasted
like pastrami. It doesn’t lack in
stark cheesiness and if that’s what
you’re looking for, they’ve got their
carbonara game on point. They also
take the concept of “al dente” pretty
seriously, making sure every bite of
their spaghetti is more than just firm
to the bite.
The Rib Eye Steak on the other
hand is a meal fit for a small appetite
that comes matched with average
expectations. It was served well
done, but it may prove a tough chew.
The sauces helped in adding flavour
to the dish, and the side serving of
beetroot and roasted potatoes lent
style to the plate.
The Lasagna looks and tastes
like a good old hearty Italian dish
that deserves to be devoured. Every
bite is mush and rich, and the meat
sauce is cooked to perfection. The
only complain would be the size.
For Tk650 (again excluding both vat
and service charge), you’d expect
a bit more generosity in the size,
especially since it’s one of the more
stellar items on their menu.
To finish off the meal we tried
the Tiramisu and god, was it good.
It wasn’t the traditional tiramisu,
but it was definitely a close match
in terms of taste. The cream cheese
packed the right amount of density
without being too heavy, while
the combination of coffee flavours
remained distinct yet perfectly in
sync. For Tk400, it is on the slightly
pricier end, but this is one dish for
which you’d be more than willing
to burn a hole in your pocket. As for
the drinks, we went for the Mojita
priced exorbitantly at TK250, and the
Tornado Twist at Tk270. The Mojito
was good, but the Tornado Twist
was a tangy, refreshing and well
deserving of a repeat order.
All in all, Veni Vidi Vici has
proved to be a restaurant with great
potential, especially when their
pizzas and desserts are concerned.
As for the main course, they’ve also
seemed to almost nail a few items,
but perhaps it’s advisable to try the
other dishes on the menu, such as
the grilled chicken or the grilled
salmon. They may not make a strong
argument for an excursion all the
way to Uttara, but they do deserve to
be applauded for being brave enough
to break through the stagnant Uttara
dining scene as the first Italian eatery
in an area that is starved for good
dining spots.

Reunion of
7th batch
students of
Lipice Super Selfie Contest JU
On January 31, Rohto organised a prize giving ceremony for LipIce Super Selfie
Contest at a renowned hotel in the city. Along with the top 10 participants
of the contest, managing director and other officials of Rohto Mentholatum
Bangladesh (RMB), and renowned beautician Kaniz Almas khan were present at
the gala night. Famous band Souls put a spectacular show for everyone to enjoy.
The contest was powered by country’s famous lip care brand, LipIce and was
based on the online campaign titled LipIce Super Selfie Contest-2014.
Preeti Joys Helen, champion of LipIce Super Selfie Contest got the opportunity
of being the cover model of country’s top fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine

of paintings by New York based artist
Md Tokon, on January 31. Md Tokon’s
paintings are pure abstractions, and
his style makes great emphasis of
colour. The painter proceeds by layers
- each new coat of colour he adds to
the canvas brings a new dimension to
the overall result, rendering it more
complex or, depending on the viewer’s
perspective, simpler.

effort is a highly rewarding experience,
for the painter aims at beauty – which

Grand finale of “Champions of Earth”
The grant finale of “Champions of Earth” an idea generation competition nationwide
on environmental issues was held on January 31, at NSU campus. More than 800
participants of 296 registered teams from different colleges and universities all over
the country took part which turned out to be the biggest environmental competition
in the country till date.
During the event, a magazine named COE Insight on the ideas of the finalists
and their journey during the competition was launched by the chief guest, special
guests and the guest of honour. The second runner up, Team Cranks from Ahsanullah
University of Technology, received Tk20,000 and the first runner up Team El Nino
(formed with members from different colleges) received Tk30,000. The champion
Team G4U formed with members of North South University received Tk50,000.
The teams were screened on the basis of an online concept note submission round
and a presentation round; among them eight finalist teams were selected for the
finale. On the day of grand finale, Prof Amin U Sarkar, PhD, vice chancellor of NSU
chaired the session where Benajir Ahmed, chairman, BOT, NSU was present as chief
guest. Muqeed Majumder Babu, chairman, Prokriti O Jibon Foundation and director,
Impress Telefilms, Channel i, attended the session as the guest of honour. Prof G U
Ahsan, PhD, dean, School of Health and Life sciences, Prof M Emdadul Haq, PhD,
director, Student Affairs, Hasin Jahan, program director of WaterAid Bangladesh and
